Recording shows with a tv tuner

| I currently own ATI All-In-Wonder 9800PRO ghx card and it has a tv tuner that allows you to record shows. I tried recording certain shows with it such as Gundam Seed that airs on tv. I used the pre-fix setting with Mpeg-2 that MMC TV program provides and the quality is horrible... and the size of the file is approx 1GIG+ When i compare the quality of my recording and some fansubs that i have downloaded, the difference is quality is HUGE while one's size is 5X of the other. Is my Tuner crap? or is there some other ways i can tune the recording program into recording higher quality video files? |
