Super Robot Wars Original Generation OVA

I know very few of you have probably heard of this, but it's based on the Japanese crossover strategy game series known as スーパーãƒãƒœãƒƒãƒˆå¤§æˆ¦ã€‚/Super Robot Taisen/Super Robot Wars. The general premise of the game is that it's essentially like a huge crossover (not-fan)fic turned into a turn-based strategy game. Various Gundam and other mecha series appear in it, and the franchise itself has been around for quite a while. Recently, the game's maker, Banpresto, released the first ep of an OVA based on the original characters they put into the games. The OP and ED theme of the OVA (Meikyuu no Prisoner and Protect You, respectively) are by JAM Project (which did a couple of Crush Gear and Gravion songs) and are pretty awesome, and--I have them. However, the upload rules say that I can't upload them without them being requested for. If anyone wants to request for them, I'd be glad to upload them. Just trying to spread the love. Also, some friends of mine got together to create a fansub of the said OVA (just the first ep, though, as that's the only one that's out.) Granted that it would probably be better if you knew the background story before watching it (as the OVA is set in the same timeline as some of the games), I think it's still an amusing watch, if only for the mecha smashing action. |

i watch this anime already...it's really great and i truly enjoy it...i've played many of the game also such as Super Robot Wars Alpha Gaiden I wonder if they would put any gundams in the anime like they did in the games...i truly wanted to see all those gundams in action together =P  |

| Doubt it, the OVA is entirely Original Generation. No licensing problems that way. |

OMG! I played these games a long time ago especially the new one, SRW OG2! This is the first time I've ever seen Zenga and Retzel are making a double team attack! I'm waiting for the fansubbed version! Ganbatte, Aslan!!! BTW, if the OVA is entirely Banpresto originals, will they put DaiZenga and other new mechas?

yea , its cool there's Alteisen ,Weisbreitter,from Impact and from Alpha series like Cybuster Bullet , Kusuha....and co...damn ...i REALLY LIKE THIS ANIME *HAIL TO SRW* damn...alpha 3 got delayed again..
kid these days doesn't know the difference between "true anime" and "anime for marketing purpose"

::Begins blaring GONG at max volume:: So, SRW Alpha 3 is out, J is out, and they've announced the next, PS3 game. Let's hope it has everyone's favorite King of Braves, eh? I still need to pick up the OVA, but if Cybaster's in it, it should be good... Yes, I agree that the Sword who Cleaves Ebil must be in the game... and his horse... yes, his horse...
