Longtime lurker here. Made a new account so inu can't ban my main, because I feel like he's gonna get his Jimmies rustled even though I'm not breaking rules. So inu and gendou are busy and can't release music that often. Alright, fair enough. But you won't let others release music because of "trust" issues. What a stupid reason. Actually I'm not even sure if it qualifies as a reason. It's such a lazy excuse. If you're not giving others a chance to show they're trustworthy, then that means nobody else will ever be able to release music. How about you stop being idiotic and let others have a chance at it? When I made a new account here, I was redirected to a page full of mods and other such persons of interest. I'm sure at least one of them will be more than happy to do it. And if not them, ask the more active members of the forum. Or how about this? Instead of being fearful of people that "do not completely know what to look for when it comes to small mistakes," how about you explain what those small mistakes are so that they don't make them in the first place? Since I'm sure you made mistakes at least once, such an explanation would be helpful. I'm surprised nobody pointed out these flaws in the original topic, because I just came up with those counterarguments in like 5 seconds after reading them. Inb4 this post is deleted or edited. |

lol, you're not the first to suggest those things. First of all, Gendou is the only person that can change privileges, and I cannot. I am not an admin, I am a moderator for the admin. Secondly, Gendou is a very busy man and doesn't really have time to train people on how to release music. That being said, neither do I. As it stands (subject to change) I work 50+ hours a week, and so does Gendou. In fact, the only reason I have time to respond to you and others on the forum is because it doesn't take that long at all, and I want to keep the site in at least some kind of order. Music hasn't been release in a while because, again, we've both been very busy. I have the next few days off coming up soon though, so expect some music in a couple days. Also I'm moving soon, so once I do that I am going to try and find a job with a better work schedule so that I have time to release more music as well before I get home super tired every day. Also yes, you are breaking the rules btw by making another account. There is nothing against speaking out, but there is something against another account. My suggestion to you is to man up and talk to me directly instead of insulting me by making a throwaway account. This isn't reddit. I'm happy to talk to you or anybody on skype whenever you like (as I've got it on my phone) if you want to discuss anything.  |

All of this was posted over a year ago. Yet, many of the issues still remain. I was so sad when I told my daughter to start coming here for music, but none of the music was to be found. I've supported Gendou since this site began in 2001 (2002?) and while I don't have time either, I would make an hour of my day to devote, if given the chance. That's how I ran my website back in the day, as well as my groups over the years. Inu, I know you're only a mod and you're doing the best you can.. but one of the things people had to convince me of (my moderators mostly did the convincing) was to give others a chance. You and Gendou are the heart here, now you just need some nerves and veins to help pump blood into the site again. ^_^ I hope the site hasn't gone completely black.. this place has always been where my heart is.  |

I'm going to poke my head in here as retired staff, and whilst my previous reply was tongue in cheek, you deserve a better response for not taking an offensive approach and being constructive; for that, I thank you. To get to the point, you've been around for a while, and I hope you had the chance to see the site when it was full of life. Not just constant music updates, but also when forums and chat were full of activity. There were multiple moderators to handle various tasks: moderating the chat, the forums, handling lyrics, and until the past year or so, only one or two mods next to the Admin Gendou really dealt with uploads. That time was, at this point, 8 years ago. Not only have the users come and gone but so have the moderators. Inu is the only current moderator that I am aware of. I'm not even sure if the admin hangs around anymore. Since I am not a part of the team anymore and have not been for a few years, I am unaware of where most of the others have gone, but I believe it's safe to say that they have moved on. Within our team of mods, upwards of 5 or 6 years ago, we noticed the signs that the site was slowly dying. We tried, as long as we could, to mitigate the slow burn, to keep people around, because that is what the site focuses around: the community of people from around the world coming together under the shared interest of anime music at a basic level, that offered the opportunity to forge relationships around a much larger field of topics. But the fact is that people just aren't coming to stick around anymore. Everyone who was a frequent, myself included, is so busy with other things in life. We have a Skype chat; Inu, Maiku, Latino, Kuroga, and myself are all apart of, with the former 4 being moderators. But only Maiku, Inu, and I are the ones who give it much attention anymore. The point being that the moderators, and not to put words into Inu's mouth, but I'm confident that he would echo my words, as we had just recently talked about it, is struggling to find the time to do things he wants to outside of work. It's one thing to want to do it, but it's an altogether different thing when you feel forced to do it. The lifeblood of this site is its users. And frankly, there are hardly any. All of the faces you see, for the most part, posting in the forums, are the users who have been here for years, who came for the music but stayed for other reasons. They do not care as much for the music as we once did when we first came to this site. But the mass interest for the music isn't what it once was. We thought the site was on its deathbed back in 2012, and what you see today, is a site that's barely keeping a breath steady. While it is not completely black, it is not far off from that endgame. I understand the want for a central source where you can find music of reliable quality without the risk for malware, and while the demand seems to be there from people coming and posting about music uploads. The reality is that it isn't even a fraction of what it once was. To wrap things up, the music section, largely, is controlled by the every day user, by your daughter, by yourself. It is you, who we as a mod team depended on to upload music, to be reviewed by those overseeing the system, and to ultimately be posted with the highest quality possible. Without a large amount of people around to upload those songs, there is nothing anyone behind the scenes, Inu, or the Admin, can do. Like you, I do not wish to see this site truly die. I want it to thrive, I want it to live like it did back in 2008 and before. But all dynasties come to an end, I'm afraid. I apologize for the length of my post, but I feel like it was necessary to articulate my points. If you have any further questions or comments, please follow up in this thread.

this is my first time posting,though I frequent the site several times a week and haven't been verbal about this issue. I'm disappointed, though I understand that people are busy, I feel that there should be some action taken to ensure that at least 2 or so songs are added once a month as a minimum. If you don't have the time, it's time to appoint a new admin(no offense intended,but..), or teach a mod to do it. I've donated time browsing, as well as money to the site to help keep it running, so I feel kinda aggravated on the topic. There hasn't been a new upload in quite a few months, and again, as a site administrator, it's their responsibility to MAKE the time to keep their page up and running. While I cannot say if others are uploading music to be posted after being checked, I feel that maybe the admin should make a post addressing it, so the users visiting and frequenting are aware of the situation. I was a site moderator at one point, so I know it isn't easy to work and continually keep up with it, but knowing that, I stepped down to allow someone with the ability to take over. Or as sad as it sounds, make an announcement that for personal reasons, the site is going to be discontinued, or taken down. The users aren't the only ones who need to "man up" to address the issue. Again this post is not to offend, but to voice an opinion....I would say something face to face, but I don't have SKYPE and don't intend to...but thanks for the opportunity to say my piece.

@Ryu: Inu is a moderator, he is not an admin. If Inu steps down, then there will be literally no one to do anything. I don't know what you want, since what you suggest will make things worse than they already are. It is not as simple as "teach someone else to do it." Inu can teach everyone who comes and posts about it, but it still won't get anything accomplished because he does not have the ability to give people the privileges over the upload system. The one, singular, admin of this website, Gendou, is the only person with the ability to grant other users privileges. You're right, the users are not the only one. But there's only so much a moderator (Inu) can do when only the admin has the power to do what you ask. At this point, I'm only a simple user, I'm a retired moderator. I can't even do the basic things Inu can do. He is the only active current moderator.

If you had read carefully what I wrote...I was not talking about the mod alone...I was talking about Gendou...if he cannot make the time to maintain his site, he needs to either give up the site and close it, much to my own chagrin, or find someone else who has the time to help take over. So before you misunderstand, re-read my post. I never said Inu was responsible for anything. I'm saying that in order to maintain the site, they need to ask users if there is anyone who can assist being a mod, or find a new admin(and I mean Gendou). It seems from what I've been reading there are trust issues, due to things such as the possibility of viruses and malware in the files which is why only Gendou or a mod can actually upload the music after it's been checked. I get it, but, you need to trust your users enough to give someone interested a chance to help out. Why is there only one mod, knowing this is causing issues, and not several. You said you are a former mod on this site, but you aren't anymore. While I appreciate you "answering" the questions, you are not the one who should be addressing this issue, as it is not your job or responsibility anymore. I only want a response from someone who can make a difference. And if Gendou were to care enough about this site, he'd MAKE time to at least add moderators that have the ability to maintain and add things accordingly. I don't care if my account gets banned at this point(and it's my only account), but this isn't a complaint that only a single user is making. It's only going to get worse the longer that it goes without being handled. Again I was a mod(one of many) for a site. I couldn't do it anymore, so we got together and looked for users with the potential to take my place. All I'm saying is perhaps open an interview with anyone interested so they have a chance to salvage this site. Is it going to be a bit of a process? Of course. It is a decision that mustn't be made lightly, but in the end will benefit everyone, users, as well as Inu and Gendou. If they don't want to, then they don't care enough about the users frequenting this site, or the ones who spend their money, like me, to help keep this site going. Again, it's just my opinion, and at this point,even if I get banned or warned or whatever, I hope that they will take my suggestion seriously and give it some thought, for everyone else who looks forward to updates, if not to help lighten up their own responsibilities on the site a bit.

Donations to the site don't go to us directly, they merely keep the server running. So I could sit here and upload and release songs for one or two people, or I could use my time to make money to pay my bills. Another thing that Haseo brought up, it's very discouraging on this site lately, and that's another reason we don't really do much anymore. We release a song and then one or two people are happy for maybe a week at best before we just get yelled at again. As much as I hate to admit it, this site is pretty much dead now, and it's very unfortunate. I'll try to get on tomorrow and release some songs just to calm you down, but getting upset at us for something we do (or used to at least) for free is not a good way about getting more content here. |

At this point,as I said, it is just my opinion on the matter. And I'm not ignorant enough to think that the donations go to you personally. That's why it's upsetting that helping keep a server going is being wasted. Maybe I've only donated a minimal amount, but still. I don't know how much others donate, and it's not my business,but I'm sure they'd feel similar. Neither here nor there, whether you choose to upload music is your decision, and I don't know how much time it takes you out of your daily life. Do or don't. I've frequented this site for a long time and I just want to see it thrive. But if no one can make the time, there is no point in keeping it up, and Gendou should just take the site down completely. You never know...if you updated more regularly(like I said, maybe only once a month have a release date of a few songs), more users may start coming again.

I understand your opinions completely, and you sound just like I did back in 2013, when this site started to die out. Believe me, we tried to revive it back then, and people just kept leaving. I'll release songs when I can and have the time to, either way. |

Don't put anymore hope on this site, it's really pointless already. if you (or any other members in here) still plan to donate money once in a while thinking just wanna support or help out, really consider NOT to do it anymore since the admin (aka Gendou) doesn't seem to care about this site already~ And our only active Mod just have "alot of reasons" to do what so ever, if he really want to, he can also ditch this site without turning his head back as well since he is doing it for "FREE", it's not really his duty to keep this site alive so don't even try to believe in any word Inu is saying would be your best bet. It's better to donate to other sites that's still active and sharing those new anime music per on-going season for you to download better. and @Inu Thanks for banning my previous account, I notice that it's still BANNED even after months later. WOW, thank you very much LOL, even though I'm just trying to reason with you and that is the only final answer I get. And the reason you ban me is because "I shouldn't even complaint about anything and should be grateful that the site is here to begin with from the starting and we're all getting music for FREE afterall" you truly show me that this site is TOTALLY NOT WORTH SUPPORTING ANYMORE even though you depend on users to share and upload these "FREE music" that people is demanding for you so that you can share these "FREE music" in the site while we can't even get to say a thing about these "FREE music" that have being shared to being with, cos our sole concern became our "complaints" instead in you or other peoples eye. But I'm grateful that you ban my previous account for some reason LOL, cos it manage to proof that even without this site (yah, if this site wanna die then just DIE FOREVER, I don't care either. thanks to you, Inu), I can still find good quality anime songs on other places, even without using Torrent to begin with. For people who is still using this site for music, grab your chance to download anime songs in other places better now cos you don't know when those site would die due to DMCA or Copyright issue or whatever reason. If you just stick to this site, you'll just get NOTHING out of it for plain waiting FOREVER while you'll also lose the chance to get the anime songs you want and still available for you elsewhere. If you only want old anime songs and it's available here, then keep using this site. Other then that, say good-bye better. You other account was only banned for a month by the way, so you should be able to log in and not be banned anymore. As for your "reasoning" with me, all you want to do is insult me.
