The most influencial anime that I have seen would have to be Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory. It was the first anime that I saw and I was hook since then. |

One that influenced me a lot is Fruits Basket because it had so many messages that could help people with their lives. And it made me want to understand my friends better, so I could be a better friend. |

Wolf's Rain. That anime influenced me so much, it's not even funny. It was so depressing at times, and whenever they were sad, I was sad. *sigh* o.o |

Aah, Wolf's Rain. I agree that that series was one of the most influential ones in my life. Especially the last four episodes (the DVD)... so breathtaking, it sent me to tears, literally. I have to agree with you on that, man, Wolf's Rain is such a strong series. Keep 'em coming, minna-san! ^_^

Evangelion is said to be the most influential anime of all time. Actually, seeing it did influence me a lot personally. It totally changed my view on the world and people in general, and I did learn a lot about psychology from it. Other than that, I can think of no anime in particular. Although when I was in elementary school Pokemon influenced me to the point of serious obsession... |
Re: The Most Influential Anime

I agree with Evangelion,Out of all the anime i watched that has influenced me because the depth of characters especially Shinji with his decisions of not running away from his problems

Gundam Seed (not Gundam Seed Destiny) had probably the most influence on me because of its emotional and psychological depth that affects a soldier. Also it has the best ending of all, Fllay dies and Kira scores with the pink hair princess |

Gundam SEED had the most affect on me because of the main themes of war, but also how the soldier is affected and how there isn't always a 'good' or 'bad' side. The emotional damage that war can have on you was clearly presented and not hard to get. |

It definitely has to be neon genesis evangelion... it just makes one think, you know... about life, religion and interacting with others.

Gundam Wing. It had taught me about war. That war is inevitable. That war is a human nature. That humans need war to survive. That civilization grew faster because of war. Neon Genesis Evangelion. So much philosophy in it. Can we realy understand about something? No, humans understands nothing even if they claim they do. And no matter what, human's greatest enemy is always humans. Wake up guys, if there're ET out there, it won't be them aftering us. It'll be us hunting them down. Scrapped Princess. Teaches you to believe in what you believe in while others don't. Ghost In the Shell. So much philosophy in it. What is life, anyway? Also GunslingerGirl and Noir. It seems fun to become an asassin, don't you think? |
Re: The Most Influential Anime

Definitely Fruits Basket! Every episode kind of have its meaning and purpose. It kind of teaches people to accept others despite their flaws and learning to understand one another. |
Re: The Most Influential Anime

Trigun, because of it's emphasis on the importance of life and the fact that no bloodshed need ever occur. Evangelion, because, well, you've all said it already. Berserk, because of the how much importance Griffith and Guts place on their dreams, and how they stop at nothing to achieve these dreams. |
Re: The Most Influential Anime

I'd say it's Gundam Wing. Like Aoi, it taught me to look at war at other perspectives and be able to ask questions regarding total pacifism and war itself. What is a war for? Is a war justified? By what means? |

Rurouni Kenshin...It gave me insight into the culture and history of Japan. Kenshin's personality also influenced me greatly. |
