firefox and chat problem

| everytime i go into chat and ever since firefox has updated chat has not been working for me seems it keeps saying java is not installed but i reinstall it then uninstall it heck i even uninstalled firefox several times can some one help me with this problem thank you |

I had this problem over a week ago. It's very possible that your java is corrupted as was mine. I believe the update said Version 7u5? or something similar?

There are two solutions for this problem. 1. Reinstall Java and try again. 2. When it says that, wait a minute and it will fix itself. I have entered chat and it's said that to me a few times, but if you just give it a minute sometimes it will be all "Oh, nevermind, you DO have Java." and will load up just fine. Firefox HAS been slow lately since the update, and I believe Java got mixed up with errors of some kind when it updated.  |

what if the same problem is happening with Chome... i keep installing and uninstalling java but nothing seems to fix it... I guess it could be corrupted as you guys say... only problem is, i can leave it for hours and it wont load   |

Works for me with Java 6u31. I'll see if installing 7u5 will reproduce the problem.

im still having problems getting in to chat with the new Java with chrome...anyone had the same problem? As of now, im logging in from the computer from summer school, but once summer school ends i dont have another place to get a computer if this one dosnt get fixed. |
