MP3 FORMAT?

It seems like the music file format has changed recently here. Now when I try to download music the speed is instant, however, when I check the file in my music folder and even on the local hard drive itself on my computer...it seems the file is just an empty shell or has been changed so that you might need a special codec or player for it to recognize the file. Even my android phone could not read the audio file. Is there some new software that needs to be installed in order to download and effectively play the music on this site now?? My apologies if this is a momentary glitch or bug and I am simply out of the loop. lol Thanks in advance AQUA |

This has never been the case. I recently snabbed a song to listen to and the format has always been the same, Gendou has never made any changes (without notifying users beforehand anyways). What song(s) were you downloading exactly? Are you sure you didn't change the format by accident?

I think I know what this user is talking about. It's not a problem with the website, if I'm right. The download speed isn't instant, but if you look at the file in the downloads folder before it's been completely downloaded to your computer, it will show up as an "empty shell" and won't open as a normal music file. I'll provide an example by downloading the fourth Steins;Gate ending, Another Heaven. I click on the song, then I open my Downloads folder, and I find the song. Because it's not finished downloading, it shows up as a CRDOWNLOAD file, and the size is cut down to 4.35 MB, which is what has been downloaded so far. If I wait until the song has been completely downloaded, the file type changes from CRDOWNLOAD to MP3, and the size is now 10.3 MB--the full size of this particular song. It will now open normally in Windows Media Player, iTunes, or any other program you use to play your music. TL;DR: It's not a problem with your computer or the website. You need to wait for the song to finish downloading. This should fix your problem. Hopefully, I helped a little.

Thanks everyone...I don't know what I did accidently to my computer but it was a combination of a few things I did that each of you covered in your responses and everything's fine now so thanks to all. AQUA |
