Yo! It's me Mihashi. In any case, allow me to give you an introduction to the languages that I speak. I'm a Malay and a Malaysian and since I was born in that country, I know how to speak Malay: one of my mother tongues. English is also one of my mother tongues. No argument bout these; okay, let's move on. Throughout my life, I've been exposed to a myriad of languages in such a way that I don't even remember my 'original accent' very well; sure I can remember some of it, but still, not much. Basically, it's like, I've been exposed to languages such as these since young: Italian, Latin, Spanish, Portuguese, Malay, English, Russian, Japanese, German, Greek, Arabic, Persian, Hebrew and so on. (I do have to say that my memory on when I started to be exposed to Persian, Hebrew and Portuguese is rather fuzzy.) So yeah, these are the languages that I, after years of exposure have come to want to learn and study them. PLUS, I LOVE THESE LANGUAGES! So far, I've only known how to produce the sounds of English, Japanese and Malay. I'm currently studying Japanese and in a few years, I might get fluent at it. Also, at the same moment which is now, I'm also starting to broaden the language scope and started to learn Portuguese. The first time I heard Portuguese in detail, I GOT BLOWN OFF! It SOUNDED SO, SO DIFFERENT TO SPANISH! OMG! Anyways, I espouse American English. I just like the way Americans speak English as well as the terms, you know, less condescending.... Well, that's what I think, you know, more casual. In any case, in referring back to the title, I REALLY NEED HELP! I can't read much Portuguese! Anyone here who knows Portuguese? Especially BRAZILIAN PORTUGUESE? If so, THANKS A LOT!!!!! I really am stuck! I try, but I still can't make out much of the phonology! Well then, Tchau! |

I really only know English, I have taken a year of Spanish in 8th grade because it was required, and a year of French in High School. Though I don't remember much of either of them. They were fun classes though. I would like to learn Japaneses better. I can roughly get the idea of what they are saying in Romaji with help of a dictionary. Though in hearing it and reading Kanji I am clueless in. Though I do hope to take up that language sometime in life and become fluent in it. Languages are really fun. I always wished I grew up learning two languages, people who do are really lucky. |
