Music quality...

A question about music quality. Is a 210kbps better than a 210 converted into a 320kbps? I know that a 320kbps is certainly better than one converted to it. However, I do not know how much of a difference it makes. In terms of file size and quality, what are your opinions? Note: I always leave the files untouched because changing it would affect it... in a way which I can't really describe...

Converting a 210kbps audio file into 320kbps does not increase the sound quality, only the file size.

Ohh... I see. Thanks. But I'm wondering... if it did not increase the sound quality, and only increased the file size... Why do I still see some people doing that @.@ Is it because of some misconceptions? Hmm.. does it improve anything at all??

Like Gendou said, it doesn't improve anything but the file size. It's different than making an old photo look brand new in Photoshop. Music is completely different.

If people do it, they do so because they don't know any better.
