So, does anyone know if any seiyuu (voice actors/actresses) or any prominent people in the anime industry were directly affected by the quake. Or, if, sadly, any are missing or confirmed dead as a result. Or maybe any other well-known Japanese celebrities? Most anime studios are located in the Tokyo area so I'm guessing those that are currently active are all fine, but there are many that are retired or who might not be doing anything this season. It's difficult not to worry/wonder about it since anime is such a large part of what I (and probably everyone else here) love(s) about the country. (edit: fixed a typo)

Have you checked Anime News Network yet? They've posted about the seiyuu and other people who have posted on Twitter that they are alive and well. |

I only know Yoshihiro Akiyama (MMA fighter) dropped out of his fight last night. Hopefully nobody else got hurt or anything and I don't think anyone major got hurt. Seiyus, other various celebrities have been social-feeding the internet on the condition, but I do know that some music albums and related have been delayed because of it. ------- |
