Akikojam's Situations: Situation 2

Okay, let's choose a bit more realistic and less life and death situation this time. This situation also isn't thought by me, it's quite a classical love triangle, but inspired by Kyou's route in Clannad game. Okay, so you're in love with two sisters, who have a good relationship. You're currently dating younger one, who loves you. But you've noticed that the older sister also loves you secretly, but backs down for the sake of her younger sister. You understand that you don't want to make either of them sad. So, I won't limit choices this time. Well, my solution is that I would ask them to gather somewhere and try to explain the situation. First of all, I think worst possible thing in love relationship is keeping secrets. After that, if they(or at least one of them) won't call me a womanizing bastard and leave, I'll try to persuade them to forget about the choice and both stay with me. There are three outcomes I can think of in that situation. One thinks I'm a womanizing bastard, gets disappointed in me and leaves, while other approves of my way of thinking. The second is they both leave. Whatever the case, it's still better than keeping secrets and living in a half-assed relationship that makes one of them sad. Naturally if they both agrees it's a situation where everyone's happy. So, as I said it's more real, but still a hypothetical situation. I thought of it while watching Clannad's main character ponding between Ryou and Kyou and thought something like "What the hell are you pondering for - take them both" :D |

Personally, I have no eye-deer. BUT BUT BUT, if it really happened, I'd rather choose your second thought on the matter. Tell em' the truth, but of course I don't have any romance for the older sibling. Hmm, another possible alternative -though it is less intense and melodramatic- is to just regress the romance felt for the younger sibling into a more 'agape' style love; this compromise is also to be suggested to the older sibling. HEY, less intense but at LEAST there's love. So, whatcha think? Are ya willing to tone down the rushing mad dopamine ecstasy you get from romance for a more humane-like love that is beneficial for all? Oh yeah, BTW, a similar kinda situation is to be found in Bakemonogatari. It's only found in the last 2-3 episodes though. (Episodes 12-15)  |

Well, there are loads of similar situations in anime. What I meant is a situation where a love triangle is between people who have good relationship. If you think about them, there are loads of anime with such situation: Onegai Twins, Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu... well, many of them. But well, I just took the situation and wanted to see how would people usually respond to it. |
