Some animes always say this line like Ryuk the Death god in death note saying that humans are interesting... Since i'm the thread starter i will give my opinion on this... in reality.. i find human beings so boring.. i'm serious.. i don't know why.. they do this and that.. and it makes me so bored watching them.. they do the same thing over and over again.. and getting more corrupted in mind as time goes on... yeah it's true that we can't deny that i'm also a human.. but i think them that way... as i said just my opinion.. don't flame me on this.. PS: I'M NOT ASKING ADVICE HERE, I'M ASKING FOR YOUR OPINION

1st. you probably want to retitle your thread ARE humans interesting or just plain boring 2nd. im guessing you probably watch a lot of anime. If you do then yea you probably see the human race as boring because we cant fly around and shoot ki blast out of our hands. The human race does what its limited to. You cant expect people to go about their lives then all of a sudden start flying. If thats what you are expecting then prepared for the ultimate boredom. I get amazed by people everyday. Whether something extraordinary or extraordinarily stupid. Yesterday I was amazed by NBA dunk contest and some of the talent it takes to pull off some of those tricks. And then I get amazed by creativity of people. Go watch the movie inception and tell that wasnt an intelligent and creative movie. Im amazed about how singers can have such long careers. You think after years and years of singing they would get tired of it or maybe run out of material to write. Nope they pump out hits like its no tomorrow. Then one more thing that amazes me is how idiotic government seems. The country i live in, the USA, where we claim to be a nation of equal rights but dont give them. We are either a nation of law or nation of religion it seems. If we were a nation of laws then there would be no problem with gay marriages, but its frowned upon because it goes against the bible. But if we are a nation of religion then divorces would be banned as the bible says when you are married, you are married for life. People are interesting because some days they leave me in awe because of the creativity or im confounded by the hypocritical things we do. Anyways thats just my 2 cents

You sound... kind of pessimistic. I guess in a big picture, we COULD be considered boring, but then maybe you should focus on making things interesting. Yeah, as humans we will tend to do things by routine. Some of us have work, some have school. Some just try to survive for the day, but it can't really be helped. Due to the way the world works now, most people need to work to live a decent life, and schooling is the same. Maybe you just need to look for something interesting to do that... well... interests you. That's why people have hobbies and friends. Those gives them something they really like so that they won't get bored. I agree with DA on this. Maybe you should go bungee jumping one day or something. Afterwards, try to seriously tell people that you were simply bored when doing it. IMO, humans can be boring, but it's really what the viewer makes of it.  |

As a writer, I suppose I must find the human mind appealing, since I am so willing to dissect it. I feel that what we do as humans can be very interesting, even when not much occurs. However, it's not all great things. Our morbidity and cruelty is equally fascinating. Good or bad, humans are entertaining. I agree with williamlcb, though, when he says they can be absolutely unbearable.

| I find humans intriguing because life itself it something so incomprehensible at this point that it seems utterly ridiculous that we have higher order thought activity top of that. Free will is such that, at any single point in time, we can contradict everything we've ever done up til now. Walk into a stranger's house and murder them or walk up to a homeless person and give them your life savings. It's fascinating just watching how people react to the rigors that life throws at them and realizing that this reaction is based on the content of their past, equilibrium of their present, and disposition towards the future. |

I... I can't put it in fancy words, but I fins us both interesting and boring. On one hand, we are interesting because none of us is the same. Even when we think the same thing, the way we reach the conclusion and the reasons for it can be either similar or completely different. But we can be boring because none of us really does anything worthwhile. Once in a while someone extraordinary comes along and changes the world, or at least our way of thinking about it, and compared to them everyone is frustratingly dull. |

Humans are both interesting and boring. It depends actually. They can't be interesting alone. Its the flavour of life that spice things up. Their personality, how they act, talk, and things unpredictable. And of course, with the interaction with other things on Earth, it makes things very interesting. Well, humans alone are just ordinary. Chiny out.

Humans are VERY VERY interesting. I find that most people of the same nation would usually have the same thoughts regarding some issues like morality and stuffs. The interesting part is that even though they might have the same perspective but usually people react differently. The way how people cope with others is very unique to every person. Sometimes things go out of expectation too when they react different from what they usually do for some unknown situations etc. Humans are ALSO VERY VERY boring if you see their face everyday and have the same attitude everyday. To avoid this, mix with different people at certain period of time =D  |

Did you perhaps forgot that creators of anime are human? And you should use "Us" because you're part of the so called "boring" human. My answer is both, depends how you view life. Simple as that. |

Well watching anime won't give you the real experience of human activities. You probably go cage yourself inside your room and watch all anime all day. Animes are based from single to a small group's perception and let you limit yourself with this ideas. Are you an anti-social? Well just asking. As for the questions... My answer would be the same, it's up to my own perspective if humans are boring or interesting. I find who's interesting and boring to be with depends on my own taste and preference. |

Humans are boring creatures are on their own, just like any other animal. Give them a difficult situation, amazing abilities would appear like they were made right there Give them a tragic situation, they would be crying and would also try to be strong Give them a situation where they are about to lose everything, they would break down Give them a disadvantage in terms of physical abilities, they would do anything to survive Give them a disadvantage in terms of technology, they would advance their own technology to survive Give them a hatred for something, they will do anything to get rid of it Give them a love for something, they will do anything to have it.

I think humans as a whole are interesting, one part of it is that we can be so boring and monotonous. I mean what other known creature has the power to alter it's environment to the point where they only have to repeat the same process everyday. And they all work in a symbiotic fashion where people help each other in order to create what we have now as a society. Another reason it the fact that we have been able to make it this far from the primal apes that we allegedly evolved from into creature able to share information in a matter of seconds in the span of a few millions of years. Then there is how humans are psychologically. Some conform, other detach from the crowd. Rather than just survive, humans live. All animals do is survive and make babies. Human live for pleasure, greed, food, and a whole plethora of other things. And even all the things humans have created and made over the last 30000 years amazes me. For all of this to be boring is just an insult to the human race in a sense. I think the reason you think the human race is boring is because you're only looking at a small portion of the human race in a closed minded mind set. if you were to look at NYC you would think the same way. "Humans are boring; doing the same thing everyday without break like their lives depend on it." But each and everyone of them has their own story and their own passion that has them being the proverbial cogs of society.Thus making them all the more interesting. And that is why I think that humans are interesting.

Well, my overall opinion is that they are VERY interesting, its just that everyone is different, if you would look carefully every detail in them are different, and I don't mean physically but also mentally, emotionally, etc... it's because of this that makes me think they are interesting, you can put a person to eat curry... will you expect them to eat with a spoon classically mixing the curry with the rice? Well, you must be quite boring if you do, there are other ways of doing things, and that's what humans do, searching new ways to do things to make life interesting, I would actually eat the curry with a fork and eat the rice first <.<... And its just that we humans have made ourselves boring... jobs, driving, school... I mean pft... that's for boring people, I don't drive, I WALK ftw! (not too far though, like 2m <.< THEN take transporation!), and I don't work, I mean wth? Who works these days, I play on my cell phone/computer 24/7! Finally school... school?! SCHOOL?! You'd expect me to be a skipper and someone that doesn't do his work... well let me tell you that THAT IS exactly how I am XD! Well, not true, I just do what ever hell comes out of my mind :d! It all depends on you, and I truly respect people's opinions, however you can make man interesting if you really want so... a man is driving... pft, you kidding me?! All I see is a man inside a metal box with an explosive engine that could blow any moment if not mechanically built well, I would prepare a gravestone if I were you <.<... |
