does anyone know what is wrong with the Sekirei episodes . . I am using VLC as my player and the episodes start normally and let you see the first minute or so then they reset back to the beginning endlessly any help would be greatly appreciated :-) |

What episode was it? I think I had an issue with a Sekirei episode way back when I dLed it. Not sure what I did, or if I even watched it. It's probably a corrupted file or so.

| so far it is the same way with episodes 1-4 . . I havent downloaded any more . . I want to find out what is wrong before I do |

Episode 1 is working for me. VLC: Reseting at 2:34 and not allowing to skip. Side Note: It was allowing me to skip when I first loaded it on VLC but then it came up to this problem. Since I don't really use VLC that much try resetting the cache it builds so that it rebuilds because that is the only conclusion I came up with at this time. Windows Media Player: Getting past 2:34. No Problems. Winamp: ...Not trying it on this program. Make sure you have CCCP installed and updated and if you've done that load it on WMP What video codecs/programs are running when playing: DirectVobSub, Haali Media Splitter ~Doomlight

I just found this thread, and I am having the same problem with the Sekirei season 2 "Pure Engagement" I have tried the first couple episodes and they put you in an endless restart loop after the first couple of minutes that is using VLC, I have not tried running them using windows media player |

Do some CRC checking on the file. If the CRC values are the same as on the filename, then there's nothing wrong with the file. Prolly your player. Try CCCP. Btw, the CRC value is this one. (the one with red font): [Chihiro]_Sekirei_~Pure_Engagement~_01v2_[720p][h264][47323971].mkvUse CCCP Insurgent to check the CRC. (under Tools > CRC Check...) If the CRC values are different, then the file must be corrupt or damaged. I guess try to download a good one. Search over google.  |

I understand about the CRC value since all the other videos I get from here and other sites all work fine with my VLC .. I am going to assume it is not my VLC player I'll go on the assumption that the files got corrupted part of why I was asking was because most the sites for it that I have found have all dropped it because it has been "licensed" ..... the big lawsuit last year that forced sites like the Bleach fansite to delete all the vids they had, has made it a LOT more difficult to find vids of series that have been licensed and in some cases the ones that are "licensed" .... never come out on DVD it is starting to look like "licensing" a series has just become a convenient way to scare a lot of sites into not having it on their fansub site |
