radio playlist idea.

I was thinking, and I don't really have much knowledge on programming, but I am pretty certain at least database and php is needed in this. but well, i was thinking of a system, that lets you update a playlist, whether mass or singular, and then it will show up as a list. so in that list, there will be a request button. when the request button is clicked, the song information will then be sent somewhere else for the DJ to check and queue up the songs on the playlist (i mean, for now, thats how gendou radio works, queueing up the songs manually). so I'm wondering how do you go about doing this? i mean what are the necessary knowledge you have to know ?   |

Sounds more like AJAX. You'd still use a database, but most of the querying would be done after the page is loaded. My envisioning of this would be a web app type thing. One "DJ" page where the requests are listed and viewed, and Request buttons on all of the individual song results. Database to keep track of who requested what, probably one or two request limit to fight flooding. It could work.  |
