Return of Imperfection

Intorduction

Hey guys, Anke here with a crazy RP. This is going to be a one-on-one between me and my friend Chaotic, but you are welcome to read it. It's gonna be written in paragraph form so it should be easy to follow along. It's going to be a crazy ride, but we welcome you to follow it if you would like. So long as one-on-ones are cool by Gendou-Samma.

Plot Summary

It's been two years since Roy, Ed, Al, and the rest of the gang brought down the homunculus and their all powerful "father." Peace came to Amestris, and a very happy Roy Mustang took up the role of Fuhrer. Unfortunately peace never lasts longs in Amestris. Especially since pride never really died. In a weakened state, and bound by fate to once again introduce chaos into the world, he begins a mission to create a new family of homunculus, offering imortality to young twin girls. Pride then lead the girls to Kimblee, who already had possession of a Philosoper's stone. The weakened pride gave his final wishes to his three children and fused with the younger twin. And so the chaos begins.

Sin
The Bloody Bane Alchemist

October 31st 1898
Nineteen
Female

Role
Homunculus = Envy
Ouroboros = On her left hip near her pant line.
Alchemy = Blood Based

Abilities
Seeing as Sin is Envy she has the trademark ability of shape shifting, among other things. She also has the ‘true form’ of a draconic being much like the original Envy, but much slimmer and without the faces as Envy had seeing as those were the people of Xerxes. Also, seeing as how she doesn’t harbor the people of Xerxes extreme density of her ‘true form’ which the original Envy harbored doesn’t apply to her so while she sacrifices strength which she would be able to utilize from such, she has much more speed. Finally, she has her abilities as an alchemist. As an alchemist she utilizes her blood to have adverse effects… she can use the iron in it to make ridiculously strong metal based weapons, or she can drink lots of alcohol to raise the flammability and lower the thickness to make it a great fuel for fire. She can also manipulate it as a liquid to do some things. No transmutation circle is required due to passing through the gate.

Biography
Sin is the older of the two siblings to a nice set of parents… very loving, caring, and willing to do anything for their children. Well, that’s how it appeared to most everyone from the outside perspective. Like a toy put away on a shelf by a child she was forgotten and left aside, collecting dust and only noticed by those outside sometimes. She however was not paid much attention by anyone, except for one… her younger sister, the star and center of everyone’s attention. Her sister however seemed to understand the loneliness which she was subjected to due to such and would stick close to her even when young and usually stuck in the hospital, then Sin would come to her. Sin would usually take to visiting her in the hospital when her parents couldn’t due to their demanding jobs.

Sin, or then Roudel, took to studying alchemy with her sister not long after she turned thirteen, taking a rather natural knack to it. By the age of fifteen, she had adapted her own style which was a self sacrificial type which utilized her blood… assuring that she would never be in a situation where she was left vulnerable. Due to her newly formed and experimental like style, she was able to become a state alchemist at the age of sixteen since her parents didn’t quite care what she did; they were only concerned about Giselle. Upon becoming an alchemist, she was dubbed ‘The Bloody Bane Alchemist’.

Three years after obtaining her military license as a State Alchemist a tragedy struck the Zeracheciel house hold… leaving Roudel and Giselle the only two remaining. Whilst her hatred for them remained, she was moved by her sister’s despair…

Personality
Sin is cold and distant, whilst being very over protective of her sister. Other than her ‘family’ of homunculus, she could care less about what happens to the world… she could care less if they all died of some horrific plague that caused the utmost suffering. She has many walls put up, and a thick shell around herself to prevent people from getting even remotely close, and doesn’t get attached practically ever. She has learned to be devoid of most all emotion and hateful from her past.

· ··^v´¯`×)Giselle Astraia Zeracheciel(×´¯`v^· ··
Star
The Deadly Dynamic Alchemist

October 31st 1898
Nineteen
Female

Role
Homunculus = Pride
Ouroboros = The base of her neck right between her shoulder blades.
Alchemy = Lightning

Abilities
Star is able to manipulate shadows, as the original pride was. When she is using this ability the tips of her hair will turn red along with her irises. She also has developed her own style of lightning based alchemy. Her style is unique to her, identifiable by the bright white aura cast by her techniques. She is able to manipulate electricity and life forces into lightning strikes. Since she has seen the gate she is able to use alchemy without a transmutation circle.

Biography
Star is Sin's younger twin sister, and the daughter of two loving parents. Parents that protected her in an almost smothering fashion, but that was special treatment. Star learned very quickly that her beloved older sister was often forgotten by her parents in light of her own needs. Star did her best to compensate for this, but a young girl in bad health could only do so much. She found a way to make her sister's loneliness go away by expressing her need for her. Star had a weak heart among other conditions, and would spend weeks at a time in the hospital where Sin would visit her daily, and sometimes spend the night curled up on the couch next to her hospital bed. The two girls were very close, and it was Sin's idea to help her sister study alchemy. An action Star will always be grateful for. Studying alchemy helped her get the mind off her constant pain and weakness. She used her electric transmutations to restart her heart on the way to the hospital in more than once instance. Since star had always been closer to her parents than Sin, she was the most devastated when her parents died.

Personality
She acts sweet and innocent, but underneath it all she is just as twisted as any homunculus might be. She has her fair share of prideful quirks, such as her tendency to always need the best outfit, and to always have the perfect appearance in both physical and personal ways. She hates to admit she is wrong, but she also hates to think of herself as evil. She is kind of conflicted, but only Sin can see her ugly side. She is one of the more sane members of her "family" and tends to act as the voice of reason when things get out of hand. As a human she was shy and humble, as well as weak. She was used to everyone taking care of her, that's why as a homunculus she insists upon taking care of herself. Though she still doesn't understand much about the world due to her sheltered childhood.

Greed
The Flame Alchemist

September 29th 1885
Thirty-Two
Male

Role
Homunculus = Greed
Ouroboros = On the back of his right hand.
Alchemy = Flame

Abilities
Roy harbors the abilities of the homunculus Greed, having the perfect armor and with it, a rather formidable weapon since his skin is practically harder than that of a diamond. Along with this perfect armor, Roy has his alchemy which he was granted at a young age. His alchemic abilities are to create flames with his spark material gloves and then multiply its power exponentially and direct its path, making it a rather strong and devastating weapon.

Biography
Originally from Xing, Roy is a Xingese citizen but came to Amestris in his younger years to train under Mr. Hawkeye. Upon his mentor’s sudden and rather horrid passing, he was left in charge of Riza Hawkeye, his mentor’s daughter who held the key to his formidable flame alchemy on her back. Not too long after obtaining the means by which he became the state acknowledged alchemist, ‘The Flame Alchemist’, he was sent to the front lines in the war in Ishval or the Ishvalan Massacre. After the war, he was appointed Lieutenant Coronel, a rank in which he stayed for a very long time. With the fall of the original set of homunculus and their ‘father’ though, he rose through the ranks and soon became Furher of Amestria.

Personality
The biggest thing about Roy, off the bat, has to be his perversion. Beating everyone else around him with how big of a pervert he is, the man also has a rather good sense of humor about it, often making jokes such as having the military be strictly women and putting them all in mini-skirts. Usually he is very serious and goal oriented though, but he does have a somewhat short fuse and volatile temper, much like that of his abilities. He is protective of the ones he cares about, and very sensitive underneath the tough act and front that he puts up for everyone… he’s often very full of himself as well.

Oº°‘¨Maes Hughes¨‘°ºO
Sloth

November 29th 1885
Twenty-Nine
Male

Role
Homunculus = Sloth
Ouroboros = On his left bicep.
Alchemy = None

Abilities
Hughes has sloth's super human strength along with his abilities to throw knives. He is no alchemist, but his strength alone is enough to make him a formidable fighter.

Biography
He was a loving father and husband in life. He worked in the crime investigations unit of the state military and was one of Roy Mustangs best friends, which is how he got tangled up in affairs he should have stayed out of. He was killed by Envy early on in the last revolution, but later brought back by a weakened pride. He took on a father complex when he met Sin and Star and is now the "man" of the house. Since he is supposed to be "dead" he doesn't venture outside the mansion much, and mostly just stays home playing "daddy" all day.

Personality
Hughes is the over enthusiastic father that feels a great sense of duty towards his "daughters." He plays the stay at home dad very well, except for the fact that he is too lazy to do the house work, or cook dinner, or look after the house plants, or do anything but be "daddy." After all he is sloth.

·÷±‡±Olivier Mira Armstrong±‡±÷
Lust

August 8th 1887
Thirty
Female

Role
Homunculus = Lust
Ouroboros = On her sternum between her breasts.
Alchemy = None

Abilities
Much like the original Lust, Olivier has the ability of the Ultimate Spear. This ability enables her to extend her fingers [or more so nails] to great lengths and harden them to cut through solid objects, to the point of slicing apart columns, buildings, and even decapitating people. Other than that, the woman is frightfully good with a sword, wielding the heirloom of the Armstrong family. She is very fond of her sword, and she won’t stop until her goal is reached.

Biography
The oldest daughter and child of the Armstrong house hold, Olivier wields the family heirloom and is a General in the army. The primary heir to the Armstrong family she protects the northern boarder of Amestris at Briggs in the snowy mountains. There isn’t much to be known or said about her, she leads a very simply life but lives by some pretty solid rules.

Personality
Olivier is a dauntless woman who scoffs at the concept of "equivalent exchange" and believes "survival of the fittest" is the only law in life. Her subordinates are incredibly loyal to her; however, if their attachment to her were to ever put Briggs at any open risk, they are instructed to leave their leader behind. She despises Colonel Roy Mustang and is brutal towards her little brother, considering them both to be weak and insulting to the state military. She is absolutely without mercy to those who she considers to be enemies, but as can be seen in her decision to spare Scar, this is not an absolute rule. However, in the homunculus household she holds a very odd motherly complex for the two Zeracheciel girls. She doesn’t have any affectionate attachment to the girls’ ‘father’ or any of the others really for that matter, but she does have a very motherly and proud disposition towards the twins.

+*¨^¨*+ Zolf J. Kimblee+*¨^¨*+
Wrath
The Crimson Blood Alchemist

February 2nd 1888
Twenty-Nine
Male

Role
Homunculus = Wrath
Ouroboros = Right side of his neck near the jugular.
Alchemy = Explosions

Abilities
Kimblee has wrath's all seeing eye as well as his alchemic abilities which boil down to nothing more than blowing stuff and destruction. A master of chaos and demolition he is not someone you would want to come face to face with in a brawl or battle of any sort.

Biography
He was a state alchemist in the Isvalan war where he made himself famous for his ruthless and sometimes morally questionable actions. He has been tied up with the homunculus family since the first revolution, which made him a great candidate for the second rise of the family. Pride purposely stored his body away for later use when he "died." Kimblee was the first homunculus created and he was instructed to find Sin and Star and use any means necessary to coax them into preforming human transmutation. He destroyed their house in a fire that would devastate both girls. From there he met up with Sin, and surprisingly fell madly in love.

Personality
Messed up would be an understatement when it comes to describing Kimblee. He can be a gentleman when he wants to be, but that happens once in a blue moon. He is very loyal to his "family" but he take every chance he gets to blow people up. He is the perfect embodiment of wrath and all his glory.

°o.OAlphonse ElricO.o°
Al
The Earthly Elixir Alchemist

August 17th 1901
Sixteen
Male

Role
Homunculus = Gluttony
Ouroboros = On his belly right over his belly button.
Alchemy = General

Abilities
Alphonse has the ability to store limitless amounts of matter, not just food, in his stomach. Unlike the original gluttony he is able to do this without gaining a pound. He also has his healing alchemy that utilizes the energy from the earth. He skill base is constantly expanding as he spends more and more time studying the eastern medical techniques.

Biography
Al grew though his adventures with his brother. Having lost his parents at the young age of twelve he was forced to mature quickly. He survived the first revolution with his brother while traveling the country trying to research ways to developed their own philosopher's stone. It was though their fixation with the miraculous stone that he became involved with the homunculus. After he took down the former family with the help of his brother and father, it was natural for the new family to seek him out as a way of gaining leverage from the one force that could destroy them. He was quickly adopted into the family and became Sin and Star's sort of cousin.

Personality
Al is soft spoken and kind of stand offish towards his homunculus family. For the most part he keeps to himself and tries to stay out of their plotting, but he does have gluttony's appetite. His life in armor kept him from eating for four whole years, and his pent up hunger made him the perfect gluttony. He eats constantly and is always complaining about feeling hungry. He is always trying to keep his family's plans down to minimal casualties, but to his horror he is usually out numbered by the people who want to cause terror and destruction. He is the most humane of the homunculus.

×÷·.·´¯`·)»Roudel Desiree Zeracheciel«(·´¯`·.·÷×
Sin

Heat. That had been the first sign that things were off for Roudel, and her skin prickled as she thought about it. Damn… she should have acted the moment she felt that overwhelming, god awful heat… She cursed herself for having not. Now, look at her… a heap of moving, functioning flesh burned to the point that it practically was falling off of the bone. A mass of pain, carrying out her little sister’s will and wishes as she carried the charred body of her mother down to what used to be their basement and was the only remaining floor of their home since it was reinforced with a thick layer of cement on top.

The body was placed in a huddled position on a circular cut sheet in the center of a large circle that her sister was drawing with charcoaled bits of their home, painting it black on the soft grey of the cement floor that was their basement. Then, mechanically, she forced herself to lean back up into and upright standing position and headed back up the stairs of the basement, to go find the charcoaled corpse of her father… which had to be somewhere near where she had found her mother’s she was sure of it.

As Roudel walked she passed by a mirror, grey and black with charcoal and burns, but still her reflection could be seen. The left half of her face was burned past the point of recognition, her eyelids gone so that her full grayish slate blue eye was fully exposed, all the white and everything. Her black short boyish hair was burned out of her scalp, and the reeking smell of burnt hair still lingered. Boiled and seared flesh that was blackened and some even missing much like her eyelids was the rest of the left half of most all her head. That wasn’t the only burn…. Her once long sleeved button up blouse which she wore to sleep was no more that a tank top on one arm and a three-quarter’s sleeve on the other arm. Her shorts she slept in were untouched, but the edge of her shirt was singed as well, her stomach had the same boiled flesh, and she feared for her organs… her left thigh was eaten up, her right calf, her upper back where a burn in her shirt was placed, her right upper arm, and her left palm was seared to a painful mess.

Looking at her reflection she snarled, but she passed by the mirror despite her itching urge to smash it… damaging her body further was not going to do her any good. She needed to go find her father… which was an easy task as the cold night winds were blowing away the ash and shreds of what remained of the practically no longer existent lives… The Zeracheciel family reduced to literal ashes in all but a few hours.

Picking up her father the girl who stood at about five feet, two or three inches with a lean yet somehow secretively muscular frame that weighed probably around one hundred and twenty five pounds give or take five to ten pounds moved towards the basement again where her sickly counterpart twin awaited.

Managing her way to the center again, Roudel placed down her father with her mother, in the same huddled position to fit on the sheet. Going to elsewhere in the room, she fetched the ingredients for a human being… putting those in with her dead parents since she knew that simply the ingredients weren’t enough maybe their bodies added would be… but, the bodies needed to be reconstructed so the ingredients were there too. Once said task was done though, she moved to sit beside her sister who was sitting back, now done with the circle, and she stared at the center.

“You ready, Giselle…? All that is left is a small amount of blood and then to activate the transmutation…” She whispered softly to her sister, eyes slowly flickering over to her only moments younger counter part.

Human transmutation… not exactly something she was keen on doing. Especially not on her parents who practically didn’t even know that she personally existed… but, her sister had been devastated by their death, and she didn’t want to see her sister in pain. Thus, she had proposed human transmutation, bringing them back for her… just for Giselle, her little sister which she loved so. She would bring back those wretched, pathetic things… just for her.

Oh… what a night… and yet there was so much more to come… much much /much/ more…

She never thought her parents were going to be the first ones to die. She had already accepted the fact that her weak heart would give out before her parents or her sister. She had lived a full life believing with all her heart that she would be the first to die, and the first to join God in heaven, but she wasn't so sure there was a God anymore. Not after what had happened on this night.

"Nooooo!" She wailed at the top of her lounges, "It's not supposed to be like this, I was supposed to die before everyone!"

Her twin sister was upstairs trying to locate her parents bodies in the rubble that had once been their home. She was sobbing as she bent over the complicated circle she was desperately scribbling on the concrete floor. The floor that had been a part of their basement until a few short hours ago. She had cried, and cried for two straight hours, while her sister tried to console her, but nothing could make the flooding tears stop. She knew her sister didn't feel as terrible as she did. Her sister firmly believed that their parents never even loved her, but Giselle knew otherwise and she wasn't going to let her other half just sit there and do nothing. For an hour straight she cried and begged that her sister help her bring their parents back, and finally she caved and went upstairs to fetch their parent's bodies.

Both girls looked like horrors right out of a nightmare. Giselle had seen her sister's face. Her eyelid on one side was completely gone. They should have gotten out of the house, but instead they stayed as if glued to the place of their birth by some sort of spell. Giselle had not seen her own reflection, but she could tell from the pain that her legs were burnt to a crisp, her hair was singed past her shoulders, and her face would be burnt past recognition. She could feel the cold night air stinging the raw flesh of her forehead and cheeks. Her lips had been badly burnt and she was now shredding them with her teeth in concentration. She hadn't looked up from her transmutation circle for a good half hour. She could feel the light of morning beginning to rise in the distance, but she ignored it.

She heard her sister's footsteps coming back into the basement. She watched numbly as she placed her mother's charred body in the center of the circle. The sisters exchanged glances before Giselle watched her sister rock back to a standing position and walk back upstairs to get their father. She returned just as Giselle drew the last segment of the circle.

“You ready, Giselle…? All that is left is a small amount of blood and then to activate the transmutation…”

Giselle nodded in reply to her sister. They placed the last of the ingredients into the circle and sat side by side.

"On my count, we put our hands on the circle. I think we are bloody enough that our burnt hands will do the trick." Giselle whispered, not wanting to brake the ire silence. She took a deep breath gave her sister a determined and thankful look then let her breath out in and even breath. "One, two three." She counted down and placed her hand on the outside of the circle. She assumed her sister had done the same thing because a bright light flashed and she felt a strange pulling. Color exploded around her as she started to scream. It was as if the ashen ground had dropped out from below her feet and she was now falling into an eternity of white light. Something must have gone wrong.

"Sin! Sin! Roudel! Sin!" She called. Praying with all her heart that her sister was ok. She would never forgive herself if she had gotten Sin hurt, or, dare she think it killed. The white and colored lights seemed to last for ages. She was just falling and falling and falling until she came crashing down into a world of light with only one large, formidable door in front of her. She was lying flat on her back looking up at a white infinity, hoping to God her sister was lying next to her. She carefully lifted up onto her elbows and turned to look to her side.

"Roudel, please tell me you are there..."

Sin

Hands had indeed touched the circle at the word ‘three’ and Roudel’s short hair was whipped about her face as she tried to focus on the circle with intent and serious eyes… Well, that was until the circle began to give way to a sea of white and she could feel herself falling. As she fell though her body separated into disintegrating ribbons and she watched in a fascinated horror as her body began to rapidly disappear before her eyes.

The gate was trying to take Sin, but something caused it to stop, and just before the last of her completely disappeared it halted, and suddenly she was next to Giselle. Ribbons of reforming physical state were remaking the older sister as she laid there, wincing in pain. She didn’t understand, of course she couldn’t as she didn’t know the bounds that they had stepped over and what the hell that door they were placed before was. She didn’t understand the door was trying to take her ‘toll’. She just knew that it felt like someone was ripping her apart, and just as she was about to die it was all clockwork, everything was going backwards and the tears in her skin, body, and organs no longer existed… as if it had never happened.

Finally as her body finished materializing though Roudel picked herself up, hands placed just behind her in order to support her raised torso as her eyes flickered about in a slow, dangerous manner. What in the world was going on…? She was irritated, a little visibly that she had no idea what was going on… she was the blood alchemist! Things should have gone off without a hitch! They should have been in the basement, their parents standing before them good as new! Instead though, before them was a door… a large, intricately designed door.

Standing after a few moments the older sister looked to her younger one, “Don’t worry Giselle… everything is fine… I’m right here, don’t worry.” She murmured to her younger sister, features and eyes softening as she gazed at the girl. The pretty, adored twin sister that she wished she was and envied oh-so much.

Shaking that off though she turned her attention to the door that stood before both of them and she moved forward. Moving to stand directly in front of it she placed her hand on it and frowned as her fingers moved over the design on it. “What is this place…? And more importantly, what is this door…? Where does is lead…? And what was with what happened to me…?” She questioned, stepping back a bit from the door as she stared at her hand in an interested fascination as she recalled the pain, then the clockwork and watching her body both disintegrate and materialize before her eyes… it was beyond reality, beyond physics and explanation, beyond her concept of ‘equivalent exchange’ which she lived by.

Equivalent exchange… oh, if only she knew how it applied so ironically in that situation. If only she knew what it meant to do human transmutation and to see the door for most. If only she knew what that door held, and what the disintegration of her body had meant… If only she knew, if only she /knew/.

Dropping her hand though and her current thoughts of the door she turned her back to it, though she still stood fairly directly in front of it. Peering at her sister through her remaining mess of black hair and her other eye which wasn’t obscured by anything, including her eyelid even she scanned the girl’s body and she swallowed hard. Did she know anything…? No. She couldn’t. She knew even less about alchemy than Roudel herself did. She did finally do the proper thing that she felt was befitting of the situation though, practically all she could do.

“Are you alright?” She asked, raising her eyebrow on the non-singed side of her face.

Oh… the sheer, pure irony of that question… if only she knew. She was fine, and would be much more than fine in only a matter of minutes… much better… much /much/ better in every sense of the word…

Giselle watched as her older sister rose from her spot. Relief running through her very core to see that her sister was in one piece. Or so she thought. She had not idea what was going on, and she had a feeling that her sister didn't either. They were both talented alchemists, Sin more so than herself, but despite their combined knowledge something had gone wrong. How could it be? She was sitting right next to the Blood Alchemist! If anyone could do this kind of alchemy it should have been Roudel.

The girl in question had risen from the floor where she laid next to Giselle and had started to approach the delicately detailed door that stood in front of them. Giselle stayed quiet, waiting to see if anything would happen. Nothing moved in the long seconds that she held her breath. The tension she felt was terrible. Her sister touched the door, and still nothing happened. She dropped her hand and turned to face her. Roudel had a concerned expression. She seemed to be staring rather intently at Giselle before she spoke.

"“Are you alright?”

Giselle blinked a few times as if waking up from a dream. Was she alright? She had just lost her parents. Both girls had been burnt to crisps, shredded to ribbons and then reconstructed. Now they were stuck in a white eternity with seemingly no way out. Of course she was fine, she was just dashing. She opened her mouth to reply but she didn't know what to say. She should reassure her sister and tell her she was fine, but she knew by looking at her sister that neither girl was fine, they weren't even close. What words could she use at this moment? She wracked her brain for something to say, but was interrupted by a group of five strange black figures. At the head of which was the shadow of a young boy.

"Oh, what a wonderful pair of young ladies. I should really be blessed." He muttered quietly to the other figures. They seemed to nod in agreement. Giselle rubbed her eyes. What the heck were those things? Did she look like that? Was she simply a black shadow to them? Lovely? What was he talking about she looked like a toasted skeleton that might be served up with some chocolate and a graham-cracker to the grime reaper. She scoffed at the little figure that was steady approaching the twins. Giselle calmly positioned herself at her sister's side and stared the figure head on.

"What are you?" she asked evenly and a white smile appeared on the figure.

"I am pride." It replied. Giselle could tell it had a male voice, and a young one at that. If it had an age she would have placed it at about five or six.

"What do you mean 'you are pride'? How can you be a sin?"

"I am pride, simple as that. I am a sin, yes, I was an immortal being until recently, and I have come to offer you the very generous offer of my immortality. So I wouldn't be so rude in your demands if I were you. You have done something that most people spend a lifetime regretting. You two on the other hand will gain strength you would have never imagined."

Giselle's ears perked up at the word "strength." She had always been the weak one. Was this being for real? Was he really offering her immortality and strength?

"Yes," he said smiling, as if he had picked up on Giselle's intrigue, "That's right I can offer you super human strength and restored beauty."

Giselle stepped away from her sister slightly.

"You were quiet beautiful before the fire weren't you? I can give that back to you," He continued, "There is no cost to you, It is only my responsibility to reintroduce chaos into this world, and you will be the vessel. You and your sister that is."

Giselle smiled, "It sounds too good to be true."

The figure shook it's head, "I'll show you the truth, the whole truth. I will show you all the knowledge of the world, I will give you all the keys if you will only become my vessel."

Giselle could see herself walking the world without a care. She would be untouchable completely indestructible. She would be beautiful and powerful and she would be able to take care of herself. She would no longer have to be looked after with the utmost care. She would be sure of herself and proud to be Giselle Astraia Zeracheciel.

Without a second glance back at her sister she stepped all the way forward and gave the figure a confident look.

"Alright. I'll do it." there was no argument, no extra persuasion needed. She was determined to do this. Determined to be strong, so that way if she ever got to bring her parents back they would see that she was fine, and they would be able to focus on Roudel instead. She only hoped her sister would see her side on this matter.

Looking at the shadow figures that stood before them though and listening to the rambling of the one who was trying to persuade her sister though her eyes narrowed a bit… it did sound nice, but what was the catch? What was the part that they weren’t being told? She was very weary of this deal… and seeing her sister step forward there was a hissing through her teeth as she stepped forward and a hand caught Giselle’s wrist.

“Giselle… are you really thinking this through? You /saw/ what happened to us when we came here! We were pulled apart into ribbons and put back together! What about mom and dad?! Where are they?! Aren’t they your concern right now? I didn’t do this just to have you forget about them and be torn apart and then have some… some /thing/ we don’t even know what it is approach us like this and make possibly hollow lies to you! What proof does it have that it is true? How do you know it won’t just use you!?” She hissed at her sister, her slate blue eyes narrowing as they flickered to Pride and she hissed at the shadowy figure.

What was that bubbling feeling of disgust in her stomach…? Jealousy…? Was she angry that her sister was able to take this offer up…? Was she afraid that with her sister being healthy that she would have nothing left for her…? Giselle was always prettier, and in most ways superior other than health and alchemy… What if she became more powerful? What would Roudel have left for her then? Nothing… that aching envy that she was oh so accustomed to when she would watch her parents fawn and spoil her sister was boiling up inside her again as she held her sister’s wrist a bit tightly… conscious enough of her actions to prevent from hurting her, but tightly enough to make her sister rather aware of her firm grasp.

Roudel was being selfish, she wanted to be beautiful again, strong… maybe not immortal, but she could deal with that. Her sister would be gaining all the same things though… what if her sister became stronger than her? She shuddered at the thought… it was like losing her identity, the few things that she clung to as the older Zeracheciel sister that made her… well, her. Of course she could see her sister’s side, but that jealous envy was eating away at her, blinding her and making her unwilling to let her sister take the offer… but it wasn’t really like she could stop her.

As her mind functioned on practical over drive though she looked at the shadow beings that stood before her… Pride, hm…? Weren’t there seven deadly sins? Why were there only five shadows? If Pride was going to be supplying Giselle with power, than what sin would she be infested with? Would she be taken up by the one that clawed at her insides and practically pulled her apart? Would she be harboring more Envy, and it’s power… whatever that might be? Tch… wouldn’t that be ironic, Roudel… no, Sin becoming a host for a real sin. It would be all too fitting, and especially if she became the very sin that always devoured her, corrupted her, and kept her far away from Giselle no matter how close she tried to get to her. The same envy which she harbored to a human level which made her loath her little sister who she loved so much yet in the same breath. The one thing that drove her to try and be something, that drove her to be strong, to try and establish someone who would be paid attention to instead of Giselle like always.

Thoughts were snapped off and she just looked away, stepping back and releasing her sister’s wrist with a low, ‘tch’. “You know what Giselle… go ahead. Do whatever you want. You aren’t a kid, make a decision for yourself.” She said in a cold tone as she snarled in the depths of her mind. Giselle needed to grow up. It wasn’t like Sin could dictate her answer, and much less so did Giselle need Sin’s approval to make her decision.

Turning her back to the sins and to Giselle though she crossed her arms over her chest, looking into the blank vast of never ending white, not paying attention to the ‘sins’ or her sister… whatever her sister chose, it was to be her choice.

The moment Giselle tried to step away she felt her sister grab for her wrist. She had just told the figure she would agree to its terms and conditions. All the while images, and memories of being stuck in a hospital bed were running through her mind. She was tired of being the weak one, tire of stealing all the attention from her sister. Her pride told her that she had to do this, make this ultimate sacrifice to bring back their parents. Her older twin, had other ideas however.

“Giselle… are you really thinking this through? You saw what happened to us when we came here! We were pulled apart into ribbons and put back together! What about mom and dad?! Where are they?! Aren’t they your concern right now? I didn’t do this just to have you forget about them and be torn apart and then have some… some thing we don’t even know what it is approach us like this and make possibly hollow lies to you! What proof does it have that it is true? How do you know it won’t just use you!?”

Giselle was hurt by her sister's words. It was true, she had seen what had happened, but the fact that they hadn't found their parents, and that they had been torn to shreds on their way to this eternity was only proof to her. Proof that there was no way out now. The two sister had committed a taboo, and now they were going to pay for it, if could only guess how dearly. It was luck to have such a generous offer. Eternity, strength and a free pass out of hell's waiting room, seemed like a pretty sweet deal to Giselle.

She stared her sister down with a cold glare. Roudel was always looking out for her. Giselle knew she should be happy about it, but something inside her hurt when her sister tried too hard to protect her. Her pride was wounded. For once she just wanted to do something on her own, and it felt right. Giselle was too trusting, she knew that, but this time she was trusting her overly trusting gut.

"I can do this." She whispered more to herself than to her sister. In fact Roudel didn't even hear her. She just screwed up her face, stepped back and sighed.

“You know what Giselle… go ahead. Do whatever you want. You aren’t a kid, make a decision for yourself.”

Giselle knit her eyebrows together. She hadn't been expecting that, but she just shrugged and gave a little 'hmph' "Fine!" she said loudly, "I will."

She turned to pride with a definitive click of her heel.

"I will do this."

The shadow figure before her nodded, beaming in his ire way, "I knew you would. Come with me."

With her heart beating fast inside her chest Giselle complied as the shadow figure led her over to the large door. He put one hand onto it and the door opened. Black strings with strange eyes came flooding out. A shrill squealing noise filled the white nothingness surrounding the two girls.

"First you must know the truth." Pride said as he tossed a red stone into the door. He turned once more to Giselle as she felt the black things wrapping around her waist and touching her face. She gave out a short scream as she was pulled into the black expanse and the doors shut behind her.

She was terrified, but nothing harmed her. Light suddenly went whirring by. She was trying to focus on each image, but she couldn't. She could only make out a few of the pictures, but she realized they were all moving and they were all a part of history in some way. She closed her eyes, and could still see the images flying by. She felt like she was really flying, and the sensation went on for what seemed like hours and then she came to an abrupt halt. Her eyes flew open and she watched in slow motion as an image of herself desperately tried to revive her mother. Suddenly she wasn't flying anymore she was falling, and falling, and falling. She saw another image in slow motion and realized it wasn't a historical event. It was a future event. It was another image of herself trying to revive her mother, but this time she had different ingredients, a different circle and a little red stone in her hand. She then realized how they could bring back her parents. She had discovered the key to human transmutation! She had seen the truth.

Tears were flowing down her eyes when she slammed hard back into the white expanse. Her eyes clenched tight. She felt funny as she thrashed back and forth. She could feel the burns going away. She felt her body hardening, her heart strengthening. She was changing. She opened her eyes with the sensation had stooped. Her hair had become a red color. She was looking up at her sister and the pride figure had dissipated.

"It's true." she whispered before she felt herself being wrenched back towards Amestirs.

Sin

Listening to Giselle, listening to the decision that she had made and the path that she decided to follow... there was no denying it. Sin was ridiculously afraid. She was scared for her sister, she was afraid that something terrible was going to happen to her. She was afraid that she was just going to be used by the black mass of shadows that addressed them and placed this offer before them... that was all shaken off with the one statement though.

The truth... what was Pride talking about? Turning around, the girl actually blinked at Pride and raised an eyebrow faintly, no extremely curious about the whole thing...The squealing, the hands and arms with the eyes that seemed to float in the nothingness of vast darkness beyond the door startled her. What... what was that? Where did that door lead to...? The truth though... those words still rang heavy in her ears. She supposed that she pretty much had no choice but to trust Pride for a brief moment and hope for the best... for Giselle’s sake.

Watching the red stone that was tossed into the darkness and then the arms as they wrapped about her sister’s waist and danced across her face... her skin crawled. Then, she was pretty sure that her heart stopped there for a moment as she noted that her sister was dragged into the door and she rushed forward with a cry.

“GISELLE!” She screeched after her sister, fingertips reaching out in a desperate attempt to reach her but it was in vain... the large, intricate door slammed before her and she was left to stand there with wide eyes. Horror crawled through her body and her hand dropped to her side as her eyes continued to linger on the doorway. She didn’t know what to do, and on top of that she felt like she forgot how to breath.

As she stood there though a voice addressed her, “She is learning the truth and receiving Pride... she is becoming a homunculus... she is becoming on of us.” It stated in the voice of a male, though probably around her age or fairly young but grown up. The voice was attractive, kind of psycho and dark but deep and rather appealing to her. She just allowed her eyes to flicker to the shadow that stood near by her with a fanged smile as it appeared to be looking at her though it lacked eyes.

“...Who are you...?” Sin asked softly, lacking the ability to be her usual tough, haughty, and attitude riddled self. Not with the worry for Giselle that still was tying her stomach in knots and making her feel sick... no, until she knew that Giselle was safe and saw her again she was going to remain that way.. until she saw her sister again, she wasn’t going to be ‘herself’.

“Me?” The figure of darkness simply asked as she noted that there was only four of them now, Pride having apparently faded away. “I am Envy... and I am here to offer the same proposal which was offered to your sister, to you... To make you beautiful, immortal, stronger, and overall superior.” It commented with that same sort of sadistic, mocking fanged smile.

Envy, hm...? Sin just looked at the shadow, a sarcastic smile growing on her lips until it was a full smile and she laughed, a motion that hurt her charred body as she wheezed and coughed, trying to catch her breath. Envy. How ironic... the very thing that tore her apart all the time was offering to take up home in her body in exchange for all of these magnificent things... Her answer?

“I have to see Giselle first. I want to know if it is real or not.” She commented, and at about that time her sister materialized on the side of the door which still had Envy and Sin... the other three shadow beings having disappeared for the time being as apparently their involvement was over... Pride and Envy had claimed the two bodies that had been offered.

“It’s true...” Those were the first words out of Giselle’s mouth as she was being pulled back to reality... and this caused Sin to bite her lip. It had to be. She could see the strength in her sister who usually was oh-so fragile, but definitely no longer. That and she was completely healed and beautiful again... it had to be real. Looking to Envy she remained silent for a few moments.

“...Fine. I accept your offer Envy. I will become the embodiment of the very sin I have always suffered from... not like it’ll be anything new.” She commented, and watched as the shaded being just smiled darkly, heading to the door.

Waiting for her there it ‘watched’ as Sin approached. Tossing the same deep red stone through the door he’d opened much like Pride had it stepped back and looked to her with a full blown, sadistic fanged grin as it laughed. “Have fun dear~.” It chimed and with that the black arms and hands that reached forth from the darkness littered with eyes clung to her body.

The black hands wrapped around her legs, around her arms, and around her waist and hips. They dragged her forth as the shadow hands crawled across her face and her neck, mussing her hair as they brushed through it on and off as it dragged her forth. Once she was within the confines of the door she heard it slam loudly and she was left drowned in the squealing of the shadows as she closed her eyes.

The images that had greeted her sister only moments before now greeted the older Zeracheciel sister. They flashed through her mind at what seemed like and felt the speed of light, and it gave her a bit of a headache as she closed her eyes and she tried to focus on each and every one. She tried to figure out their parts in history, what they were and when... but it was too hard, she was unable to do so as she felt all the knowledge rush through her mind... but, even if she couldn’t focus on it all she felt herself absorbing it. She was absorbing the truth, and she knew it.

Her eyes slowly opened though as the images began to slow down before her and she was able to focus on each individual one. Her interest was now peeked and she watched curiously as finally they seemed to come to a point where they were playing in practically real time. The images that played out before her were not ones that she really wanted to see, and though they stuck to memory she couldn’t even begin to explain what it was that she was seeing.

While she was so focused on what she was seeing she was oblivious to her body being rebuilt with the structure and composition of a homunculus. Her ‘beauty’ or more so appearance was returned to its full glory, her body hardened, and her core replaced with the philosopher stone embedded into her body that actually was at the base of her neck, in the center of the base of her neck and her collar bone. On her hip formed the ouroboros symbol of their kind, and unbeknownst to her she gained the abilities and traits of ‘Envy’... she was finally living up to her long time nick name - Sin.

Suddenly though she was thrown out on the other side of the door, left alone and being dragged back to reality slowly as she looked at the ground, glaring as she examined her hands which were returned to their soft, flawless pale original state. As she did though slowly a sadistic fanged grin began to crawl onto her face as she looked at the door which was slowly fading into the black before her as she was dragged back to reality, to Amestris.

Wrath

Kimblee stood in the basement of what used to be the Zeracheciel house. He was hidden from the girls as they worked to bring their sorry parents back. More than once he had to cover his own mouth to stifle a laugh or a loud "yeesssss" as he grew more and more excited. He loved chaos, and no better way to satisfy his itch to cause pain than to burn down a house and wound two innocent girls for life. Well, maybe one innocent girl. He eyed the one called "Sin" with a strange sort of hunger. She was different from her sister, "Star." The girl who was working feverishly at the array was certainly innocent, but her twin, not as much. Kimblee licked his lips at the thought, what a great homunculus that one would make. He could only imagine which sin would jump at the chance to be embodied by her, but he figured it wouldn't matter. Whether she got pride, or greed, or envy, or lust, or gluttony she would make a wonderful, messed up, family member.

He couldn't help but laugh a little as the two girls began the ceremony known as human transmutation. If only they knew what would come of this, if only the knew what awaited them in another dimension. The irony of it, the pain it would inflict, it was all so delicious! They were trying to bring back their parents, but in the end they would only ruin themselves! As the array flashed and the noise began Kimblee let out a wicked laugh. As the light dimmed he moved in. Two bodies laid unconscious, hardened and restored to their former beauty. He knelt down beside the one called Sin, grinning from ear to ear. Yes the two girl lying in front of him were undeniably beautiful and irreversibly immortal. They had passed though the gate and traded their souls to the equivalent of a devil, it may have seemed like hours to them, but the exchange had only taken a few seconds.

"Pity, I'm sure pride wanted you two beauties to come find me, but it was just sooo exciting to watch, I couldn't light that match and tun away." He whispered, "I'll just leave you two a little clue, and hope you find your way to me soon enough." He stood up leaving his military card next to the still smoldering ashes of the late Mr. and Mrs. Zeracheciel. He hovered over the girls for a second more, allowing the thrill linger in his body for a just a little longer, and as the youngest Zeracheciel twin opened her eyes he departed.

Giselle opened her eyes and held her hand out in front of her face. The burns were gone. She felt her face, it was whole again. Her hair had grown back, and her heart was pumping with a youthful ferocity that she had never experienced before. She took a deep breath and allowed her nostrils to fill with the soot filled air around her. She hacked a wheezed to get the nasty stuff out of her lungs then pushed herself up onto her elbows. Her sister's eyes were still closed beside her, and her own wounds were slowly healing and hardening with some sort of strange black matter. Did that mean she had taken another sin's offer? She hoped so.

Out of the corner of her eye she spotted a white business card. She leaned over and picked it up.

"Zolf J. Kimblee, The Crimson Blood Alchemist" she whispered to the silent darkness around her. "Huh?"

She turned back to her sister and waited for her to come too. She buried the pristine card in her pocket. Obviously someone had put it there while they were out. It hadn't been touched by the fire, and it had been lying in the charred remains of her parents. It would be best not to show it to Sin right away, she might get upset. After all one could only draw the conclusion that one Zolf J. Kimblee was responsible for the fire, and therefore must be inhabited by one of the other sins. Perhaps he is one of the two that were missing the one that Pride had told her to look for. She would have to wait for her sister to find out.

Sloth

Far away from the sight of the tragedy which had now brought their ‘family’ a pair of gorgeous twin sisters, Hughes waited on Kimblee. He had been able to see the fire from where he waited, watching the blaze take everything from those two. He had seen the familiar light of human transmutation, and something inside of him crawled... How terrible it was for them to be doing this to such a family...

Shaking his head, Hughes tried to make himself think differently. He was a homunculus, it was in aid of their cause.. They were gaining two of their brethren. Wasn’t that justification enough? Plus, those two girls might have the chance of actually bringing their parents back properly someday... and that younger one, the cute seemingly innocent one... she was going to be healthy now, no more sickness. No more being in and out of the hospital like he knew she had been from the research he had done on the family when they were told to be targeting the two sisters. The elder sister though... he wasn’t sure what harboring a sin within her would bring... She already seemed dark enough without the powers of a homunculus, of sin itself pushing that girl along.

Noting that Kimblee had left and was headed in his direction he stopped the other. “So... Did they both make the deal? What are the like up close? Do you know who took to them yet?” He asked, trying to find out the answer to his millions of questions which he had... something sort of normal for Hughes when he was curious or trying to gather information. Could he be blamed though? Those two were definitely an interesting pair... the stark contrast that they seemed to serve in themselves when he had been researching the family had lead him to fascination. A certain fawning over Star had been formed when he had been learning about her but a curious itch urged him to learn more about the older twin when he met her... after all, even in records about the family she hardly existed.

Sin...Envy

Sin slowly opened her eyes... hardly the same ‘Sin’ as she had been. Sitting up it was obvious that Envy had already had some dictating in her appearance... apparently not satisfied with the appearance that she had been harboring originally. As she sat up, she had green, slitted eyes and long glossy blonde hair. Her skin was still the same pale porcelain though, but even her general body type had been altered.

Standing it was obvious of the changes other than the feminizing of her hair, eyes, and general facial features. A small bust was now apparent through the dress that Envy had placed her in, giving her more of an hour glass figure with a bit more hips than she had originally as well. Though not drastic differences in her body, they were definitely ones that made her look more feminine... especially the clothing that she had been put in. The corset she could feel on her body underneath the dress [though not enhancing her appearance any, just giving it more definition] felt weird... not her usually male like clothing, and it made her feel odd. The ruffled skirt which became longer as it flowed to the back made her feel especially weird... but she was thankful for the pants underneath the dress. However, her tiny dainty bare feet made her feel better... at least she wasn’t wearing high heels.

“...Oh please dear god don’t tell me that I am stuck like this...” She hissed as she looked herself over, a bit of a scowl forming on her lips as she tugged at the skirt, which pulled the top of her dress down a bit more so she tugged the top up, and the skirt came up... which only resulted in a groan. She gave up. She’s just deal with it for now until she could find more clothes or something since she didn’t know that she could change her appearance with a simple thought yet.

Looking to her sister though she raised an eyebrow faintly at her. “How are you feeling..?” She asked lowly, getting over her new found appearance for the moment as she crossed her slender arms over her chest and raised an eyebrow at her sister, eyeing her. “By the way, I hope you know that your hair is blood red now.” She commented in a kind of nonchalant manner as if it wasn’t a big deal... which, to her it wasn’t seeing as she had adopted an entirely new appearance of her own as well. With an appearance change as drastic as hers felt, her sister having red hair wasn’t that big of a deal.

[OOC: ...He is deliciously insane and messed up dear <3 Absolutely marvelous job, he’s perfect. By the way, just to let you know the dress that I put Sin in is the one that her female form is seen in from the picture on her profile... I also decided to make it more actual like and have Envy rebuild her in her ‘feminine’ form xD I figured it seemed like something he would do.]

Wrath

Kimblee sauntered up to Hughes; a man he had not been fond of during their human years, but one that he could at least stand to be around now. He didn't say anything in greeting, that would just be too familiar. Sure they were part of the homunculus "family" but Kimblee couldn't say he was really going to buy into all that crap. He was along for the ride and wanted nothing more than to inflict pain upoadmit n many mortals all in the name of the balance of things.

"So... Did they both make the deal? What are the like up close? Do you know who took to them yet?" Hughes asked him. He looked way too excited about the girls. Kimblee had been excited to watch the destruction of the house, and he would admit that he was a little interested in the older twin, the one nicknamed "Sin," but Hughes was looking foreword to having a family again.

Kimblee knew that Hughes had gone looking for his old family the moment he was resurrected, but Kimblee had found them first, and the remaining Hugues family had met the same fate as Mr. and Mrs. Zeracheciel. It had been for the better after all. Had his family still been around Kimblee doubted Maes would be so dedicated to the Humunculus cause. Normal people needed motivation to sell their souls, that had the logic behind burning the Zeracheciel house, but it was something Kimblee couldn't understand. Wasn't the promise of eternal life, and destruction enough? It certantly was for him.

He cocked an eyebrow at Hugues. "Eh," he replied with a shrug, "they're not anything entirely special. I don't know who claimed them yet, but the one's hair turned blood red, and the other became more feminine. It doesn't really suit her, but you'll figure that out when you meet them."

He stared at the ground surveying the murky water at the bottom of a storm drain. Absently he thought how interesting it would be to see how many corpses he could fit into one little drain pipe, and could he then make a Philosopher's stone out of so few people? He looked up to find Hughes expectant eyes on him.

"What? Do you want specifics now?" He sighed, Hughes didn't know that Kimblee was behind the death of his original family, and he would never find out.

"Whatever, The older one is tall, slim, and has blond hair. The younger one is petite, unhealthily skinny, with dark brown hair that has turned blood red. I think that might be a temporary thing though, you know something that is expressed when she is using her gift or something."

He turned away from Hughes and began walking down the street. He paused at the end, "Don't be too impatient. I gave them a huge hint, it won't take long at all for them to find us." He called to his fellow sin. With that he left the other man on the street and headed back to their new mansion.

Giselle had been sitting with her knees tucked to her chest waiting for her sister to re-awaken. She had watched wide-eyed as her sister's entire appearance changed, and if that wasn't enough of a shocker her outfit seemed to morph with her. Changing from the singed rags that used to be her outfit into a strange dress Star never would have seen her sister wear otherwise. She assumed that her sin had something to do with this radical change in fashion.

Star looked down at herself self consciously. Her seared garments were showing off a lot of skin, and she still had the bandages wrapped up her arms. She needed something more to cover herself, but that would come later. She still needed to see her sister wake up. She needed to confirm the fact that these changes weren't just happening in her head. After the events of the night Giselle wouldn't be surprised if the magic happening before her eyes was just some fanciful illusion conjured up by her own subconscious. She did have an active imagination, one that her parents had always scolded her for.

She waited a few more minuets and then her sister woke up, and she let out a sigh of relief. Watching with a childish curiosity as Sin surveyed herself in the mirror and commented about her own change in appearance. Finally she turned to Giselle.

“How are you feeling..?” Sin asked moving one arm across her chest in an almost shy motion, she cocked an eyebrow at her younger sister and added, “By the way, I hope you know that your hair is blood red now.”

Giselle's eyes widened further and she grabbed at a lock of her own hair pulling the long strand out in front of her face. Her sister had been right, her hair was now and ungodly color of bright red. She smiled brightly, it was so cool! Her appearance had changed too! Of course she didn't know that it was only a temporary thing, but neither sister really knew anything about their new powers or gifts.

"I'm fine! You look great Sin! Different and totally not yourself but very...um... not burnt!" She exclaimed, Taking her chance to survey her own bright red hair in the flame licked mirror. "It's a little noticeable though..." She commented pulling at her hair.

She went silent looking into her sisters eyes though the reflection in the mirror. She needed to bring up the card, and help coax her sister into leaving the collapsing house.

"So um... What do we do now?" she asked, hoping her sister would have an idea. One that she could manipulate into the right direction. The direction of the address on Zolf. J. Kimblee's card.

Hughes seemed to be all ears when the other began to speak about the girls when he finished sauntering his way over at the slow pace that he seemed to usually walk at. The interest that Hughes showed was immense... of course he wanted a family again. He was a father, and knowing that Elicia and his wife were no longer alive tore him apart and haunted him... when he had discovered that they died he had been a wreak and did nothing but sleep and mope for about two weeks. However, since it was almost typical Sloth behavior nothing much was said or done about it. After all, what was Kimblee, the living and breathing embodiment of Wrath going to do about it? There was nothing to be done and without something at hand that needed to be done it was better to just leave Hughes to his moping

Once Hughes had been done with his moping over those few weeks was when Kimblee informed him of a curious little family in a small town that was out of sight, and out of mind to most people. This curious little family went by the name of the Zeracheciel. Within this family was a very notorious state alchemist who went by the name of ‘The Bloody Bane Alchemist’ who had joined at the young age of sixteen. In the military, she seemed to have quite a bit of recognition... but otherwise... she may as well have not existed. Aside from her though, there was another child born to the family, a younger twin sister who seemed to know a bit of alchemy as well according to some articles about the family in the town newspaper. After all, in such a small town alchemy was a miraculous thing. Unlike the eldest twin though, this younger one was every where and it was easy to find information on her... including the fact that she was in and out of the hospital constantly.

These two were then watched and targeted, the idea was that they would become their next sins... so Hughes had become rather interested with these two younger girls which he felt he could be a father to when their family was removed from their world... which he knew that they would be because they had to inspire the girls to see the truth and get to the door... and the best way to get them there was attempted human transmutation. However, the problem was, their was a little debate as to whether or not the elder sister would go for such. It was simply their luck that she was so attached to her little sister that she was willing to do anything for her... even if because of her she wasn’t existent.

Everything played out flawlessly in this night, and everything went completely according to the predictions that Pride had made. Hughes was happy, yet sad to see such things play out but deep down inside him that small itching greed to be a father again had been filled for he knew that at least Star was going to be looking for a father figure and he would be there to provide that role... he just hoped that they would maybe adopt another sin who would be able to become a mother role for them, or at least for Star. He wasn’t so sure about Sin, or Roudel, and how she would feel about parent roles and such... Some part of him figured that she wouldn’t want parent figures after what she had been through with her real family.

Shaking off all thoughts though he looked over his shoulder at Kimblee as he commented about how the two sisters would find them soon enough. Frowning softly he cast a last sparing glance to the smoldering ash remains of the house that used to hold a family but now only held remains and two girls who were beyond being human now.. and then he turned his back to the sight and followed slowly after Kimblee to the mansion that the homunculus resided in.

While waiting for her sister to reply to her there was a few moments of silence as she looked at herself in the flame licked mirror, emerald green eyes that slitted narrowed and she scoffed a little. Why was she made more feminine? Ugh... she definitely was /not/ a fan of her new overly feminine appearance... Glancing to her sister though as she spoke a soft smile formed on her lips and she shook her head a little.

“I’m glad that you’re feeling alright... do you feel any different...? Like... healthier or anything...?” She asked as she looked around the basement that they were in, walking around as she listened to her comment about how she looked good, not herself but good and not burnt. “Meh... I don’t really care for this appearance it is too feminine for me...” She murmured, sticking out her tongue as she broke open one of her lockers she had stored things in within the basement.

Breaking open the locker, Roudel was suddenly very glad for the extremely resistant and strong metal that it was made up of... it kept the contents safe from the fire and she smiled softly. Within it was her alchemist watch, some clothing, a good chunk of cash that she saved up aside from her alchemist funds in the bank, and other such things... including a messenger bag that was fairly large.

“Well, first off what we need to do is get you dressed.” She commented, examining the clothes stored in the locker... they were from when she was a little younger, so they were more like her sister’s size and she smiled a little, glad for the convenience. Taking them over to her sister she offered the clothes to her, undergarments, shoes and all. “The shirt might be a little tight in the chest since I bound mine over top of my bra but it shouldn’t be /too/ bad...” She murmured with a bit of a nod before returning to her locker when her sister took the clothes.

Finding some scraps of leather and other cloth materials she clapped, having seen the ability to do so on the other side of the gate and made herself a pair of shoes... High heels much to her dismay since she wasn’t used to it yet and couldn’t quite make what she envisioned in her mind one hundred percent accurately... Shaking it off though she put the high heels on over the black panty hose under the pants which were under her dress. Once she had done that she began to gather everything in her locker in her messenger bag. Money, some materials for alchemy though she was sure the environment and such would provide what was needed it was better to be safe than sorry, a few weapons including her knives she carried to aid in her alchemy, and everything else that was within the locker including notes and alchemy books.

Once the bag was full it hardly felt like anything as she put it on her shoulder, though she knew that the bag [in her human form] would have weighed what felt like a ton. Ignoring it though she turned to her sister and put her hands on her hips. “Well, I’m ready to leave though and it’s probably a good idea that we get outta here... any idea as to where we should go though?” She questioned towards her sister with a raised eyebrow.

“I’m glad that you’re feeling alright... do you feel any different...? Like... healthier or anything...?” Roudel asked and Giselle smiled brightly. Did she feel healthier? Of course she did, her heart was pumping and yet the dull pain in her chest was gone!

"Yes, I feel a lot better," Giselle hugged her sister, "I can feel my heart pumping and it doesn't even hurt!" She let go of her sister and stepped back into the shadows trying to hide her immodest appearance.

“Meh... I don’t really care for this appearance it is too feminine for me...” Roudel said and Giselle watched her as she rummaged around and broke the door to a locker. “Well, first off what we need to do is get you dressed.” She said as she handed her little sister some clothing. "The shirt might be a little tight in the chest since I bound mine over top of my bra but it shouldn’t be too bad...”

Giselle gratefully took the clothing from her sister. She smiled at her as she slipped her arms through the shirt and pulled it down over her head. Roudel had been right when she said the shirt would be a little tight, but it was better than wearing nothing at all. She pulled the pants on and came out into the light her hair still a fiery color of red.

When she emerged she saw that her sister had found a few other things in the locker and had shoved them all into a rather large messenger bag.

“Well, I’m ready to leave though and it’s probably a good idea that we get outta here... any idea as to where we should go though?”

Giselle nodded, "Actually I do have an idea. I think that the homunculi may have connections in the military. You have a dormitory in central don't you? I think we should go there to stay. Our house will be in the news tomorrow, and after I study some more I can take the state alchemist's test. We'll both be getting a good income then and we could get an apartment or something. Plus, with us both being in the military we will have the resources we need to track down the others."

In the back of her mind Giselle knew that Kimblee would find them if they joined the military. Besides she had the address for his house, she just didn't want to go there right away. Not until she had more information about who he was exactly, and just how deep into the military this ran.

She grabbed her sisters hand and drug her out of their ashen basement, up the stairs and out onto the street. She covered her rather bright hair with the hood of a jacket she found still hanging on a half burn coat rack and ventured into the street.

Listening to her sister as she seemed to babble on and on about the whole idea of going to central to go stay in her dorm and such... it wasn’t a bad idea, and it would give them a chance to gather themselves. It would give her sister a good place to study while they both attempted to figure out what their abilities were now that they were homunculi, she could access her funds, and best of all they would have a place to stay. She knew though that once they reached central that she would need to buy the two of them new wardrobes... at least all of her notes, alchemy books, and everything that was really important to her was in her dorm in central and not lost.

“Well, sounds good to me I suppose... We’ll catch the next train to central... people won’t know who we are... and I need to figure out a way to change back to my real appearance or else I won’t be allowed into my own freaking dorm, much less will they believe that I am military personnel of the Alchemists.” She commented as she sighed, running a hand through her hair as she followed after her younger sister. How troublesome this whole thing was turning out to be...

Heading for the train station though she kept the messenger bag close to her side as she would glance once in a while over to her sister, making sure that she was keeping up with her and that she was already and everything. She was concerned for the girl, despite the transformation since she was used to her being so weak and such her whole life... she would eventually get used to it though.

Upon reaching the train station she sighed as she looked around... the train was in the station, much to their luck and there was about three more minutes before it departed. Heading to the counter she spoke softly and quickly with the man there, currency exchanging hands for two tickets to central. Returning to her sister’s side she headed for the doors of an empty cart she handed the tickets to the man that stood there, waiting on her sister to get on before getting on as well... The luxury of traveling in the heart of the night - there was nobody there to bother them and they were totally alone in their car.

Throwing her messenger bag down in one of the seats, Roudel sighed and stretched as she closed her eyes. “Ugh... I want to go back to my usual appearance...” She murmured softly with a sigh, able to feel a prickling sensation in her skin and what felt like her body changing again for a few moments but it faded before any changes were made - she noted that much as she sighed and looked out the window into the night, able to just make out billowing clouds of smoke and smolder in the distance... she could only assume that it was the home that she had just fled from with her sister.

Giselle took the window seat across from her sister. The night sky reflected the light of the bright moon. She could see the smoke clouds in the distance. A small sob worked it's way up her throat but was shoved down by her new strength. A small voice in the back of her mind reminded her that it was her decision to run away. To forcibly change her sister's life forever, she had no right to be upset about any of this.

She leaned her head against the rattling glass of the train and stayed there for what felt like hours. She closed her eyes in a fake sleep. Her brain was moving at a million miles a second. She couldn't organize her thought process.

Where do we go from here? What are the other humunculi trying to accomplish? what powers do we have? How do we control them? Will my hair ever go back to black? When will I be able to get out of this way too tight shirt? Will Sin go back to looking normal? Where are we going? Will I get lost in central? Am I really healed? Should I finish my education in alchemy? Should I join the military? Should I become a state alchemist?

"Sin," she spoke up finally. Her eyes still absently cast out the window. She could already see the lights of central. They would be in the station in a matter of minuets.

"What if we don't find the others?" she asked, "what if I was wrong. Will you hate me forever?"

There was silence, the elder sister peering silently out the window as well as she felt the train approaching a stop and the slight lurch of her body as the rattling glass finally silenced itself. She remained sitting for a few more moments though in the silence, despite her sister’s question until their door was opened on their cart, allowing them out.

Standing she looked down to her sister for a few moments, no smile on her lips... just a serious look. She then slowly smiled down at her sister, lightly ruffling the girl’s hair. “I won’t hate you Star... we’ll figure out something... better than wasting away and dying though, so I will never regret what we’ve done.” She commented and then turned on her heel, departing the car as she looked at the bright city of central laid out before her as she took a deep breath and closed her eyes.

Glancing over her shoulder she raised an eyebrow as she waited on her sister, thinking about the things that she needed to do now... She needed to go to her military apartment and get them a place to stay... she needed to withdraw some of her funds to get new clothing for both her and her sister, and she figured that it would be good to get some furnishing for the practically empty but overly spacious apartment... but, would they be staying there for a long time..? Hm... if not then there was no point... She shrugged those thoughts off though.

Taking a few steps forward as she opened her eyes she thought about the fact that she needed to develop her yearly review on what she had learned and such... she needed to hop on that, it was due within the next month. She also needed to figure out what her sister planned to do now that they were in central... did she intend to become a part of the military? Did she intend to become a state alchemist? Was she even going to continue her alchemy education and such? She didn’t know, but she didn’t really ask for the moment. For now she was concerned about getting to her apartment and sleeping and then the next day she would work on withdrawing funds and getting the needed things.

Star felt the silence between her sister and her. Perhaps she really did blame her for all this, perhaps she really was upset about all this. Sin didn't say anything as they got off the train. She just started at star as the two stood on the the platform. There was a weight in the silence that weighed oh so heavily on Star's heart. Slowly a smile spread across Sin's lips and Star's heart lightened slightly.

“I won’t hate you Star... we’ll figure out something... better than wasting away and dying though, so I will never regret what we’ve done.”

Star smiled, she wanted to glomp her sister, but Sin turned on her heel and began leading the way though central. They quickly reached Sin's apartment building. Since she was an officer she got an entire apartment to herself, a fact that Star had almost forgotten about. She followed Sin inside and smiled. the apartment was huge! It was also beautiful. Sure it could use some furniture, but it was really a nice place.

"Sin, if you had this place all along, then why didn't you stay here?" Star asked honestly, "I knew you weren't happy at home. If you had come here you would have been able to stay with your friends in the military."

Star walked in put her arms out and spun around with her red hair whipping around her. She wanted to make things right for her sister. She wanted to find the other humunculi, she wanted to bring her parents back. She wanted so many things but in that moment, being on their own with her sister was a feeling she couldn't imagine. There was still sadness from the loss of their parents, there was a lot of sadness, but for a few moments she would forget that and just be happy for her sister's sake.

Looking to Star as she noted the girl twirling about the apartment she smiled softly, keeping quite for the moment as she listened to her. She didn’t really know how to answer her as she dropped her bag on the couch and went to go fetch some tea bags from the kitchen and make tea. As she disappeared into the kitchen she finally spoke from the long silence... or at least what seemed like one to her.

“Well, I don’t actually have a lot of friends here... or people that I know in general admittedly... Plus, I wanted to stay home with you... I care about you way too much to leave you alone... I mean, I knew mom and dad would do more than enough to take care of you but... I felt selfish just leaving you.” She commented as she put a kettle of water on the stove, allowing for it to boil as she fetched two cups and began to make tea.

Returning to the living room she looked to her sister as she folded her arms. “The important thing here though is now that we’re here... what do you intend to do? Do you plan to continue with your alchemy education and what not? I mean... do you want to become a part of the military like me?” She asked as she raised an eyebrow, running a hand through her long blonde locks. Ah... that was right... she still needed to change herself... however she was supposed to go about that.

Moving to her bedroom she sighed, contented by the heat that was a stark contrast to the cold night that they had just come in from. Once in her bedroom she stripped out of the dress that she was wearing and changed into a pair of boy’s boxers over her underwear and a loose, or what used to be loose due to the fact that she used to bind her chest, button up. She then returned again to the living area as the kettle whistled and she went to the kitchen.

Pouring the boiling water into the cups with the tea bags sitting inside she then placed the kettle back on the stove, only now it was sitting on one of the cold burners. She then walked to the living room and offered her sister a cup of tea. Silence came from her as she wondered about the other homunculus and what seemed like a million other things all at once, her stomach in knots and her mind so blurred that she kind of felt dizzy and light headed... Shaking it off though she sighed, refocusing on her sister as she waited for responses.

Star stopped twirling about when her sister answered her question. So she didn't have any friends? That didn't make any sense to Star, why wouldn't Sin have friends, from her point of view her sister was a perfectly normal person who would make friends quickly withing the military. Especially since no one would possibly want to be her enemy....

What really got Star thing though, was that she had been her sister's excuse for staying. Despite everything their parents did to favor her, Sin had stayed because of Star. It seemed weird that even though Star was the center of all her sister's jealousy, she was also the very object of all her affections.

Her sister left the room while Star stood still staring at the wall on the opposite end of the apartment. The are was open and well designed, so that Star could still talk to her sister even if she was in another room entirely, but she didn't know what to say yet.

Sin came back and folded her arms across her chest, “The important thing here though is now that we’re here... what do you intend to do? Do you plan to continue with your alchemy education and what not? I mean... do you want to become a part of the military like me?”

Star stuck her tongue in her cheek. "hmmmmmm...." she sighed, "I guess on my first inclination I would like to go to school for a while, see what it is like to be a normal child, and while in school I would like to finish my alchemy education... Perhaps next year I'll take the exam and join the military... Annnd while I'm doing all of this we can try to find out more about the others, and their plans so far."

She paused for a second, "First things first, we must learn how to control our powers.... you need to change back and I need to figure out if this blasted hair color is permanent or not......"

There was quiet nodding that came from the older sister as she sighed and thought about it quietly, running fingers through her hair and she closed her eyes as she stood there... really, she didn’t say much about her sister’s silence regarding her not having friends.

The whole reason that she didn’t have friends was simply... much like the late ‘Sewing-Life Alchemist’ Shou Tucker, the work that Roudel did as the ‘Bloody Bane Alchemist’ was viewed as taboo... one of those untouchable things kind of along the lines of human transmutation... So she was greatly disliked and looked down upon by all those around her. Called a demon and many other names for her use of her blood as a weapon and the adverse effects that she could make it have. She said nothing of all of that though as she opened her eyes and sighed as she ran her fingers along the odd marking that she had noted in the mirror when she had been changing... what looked like a winged serpent circled around an odd sort of compromised six pointed star... she hadn’t paid much attention to it to understand all the details, but she was sure it had something to do with her change in ‘being’.

As she thought about it she smiled faintly, “I think that it would be a good idea to find out as much about the other homunculus as possibly, and as quickly as possible... they are the reason that we are here and they are one thing that we have... We need to find out what they want from us and why we were brought back.” She commented with a bit of a nod as she sipped on her tea, looking at the steaming cup that she had left for her sister that was sitting on the low, glass topped coffee table that sat in the living room near a small black leather sofa and love seat.

Moving onto the next topic of discussion without much time for silence or response to the last the cleared her throat. “Well, as for our powers... when do you want to start working on them? Right now? Either that or we go out searching for one of the other homunculus if we can find any leads and ask them about it... though I highly doubt that they will just give us the answer as to how to use our powers... that is probably something that we need to figure out for ourselves...” She stated, sort of just murmuring to herself about the subject as her eyes narrowed and the slitted pupils became a bit more nonexistent as she thought about it. Then, after a few more moments of silence she just shook her head and sighed heavily.

Moving back to the kitchen she focused faintly on the idea of how she used to look, and there was a flicker in her appearance, locks slowly bleeding into a black color unbeknownst to her. Her hair also appeared to have gotten a little shorter, but the flicker ended and stopped. Only a section of her hair black, not all the way to the ends and it was still about mid-back length as opposed to being down to her hips... of course, she hadn’t paid any mind to this as she got herself more tea and then returned to the living room with her little sister.
