So tell me, do you wonder whether or not penguins fly? Of course the answer is no according to common sense, but according to “Sora no Otoshimono†(What Fell from the Sky), a theory of reality is unable to explain unrealistic events. That is to say, common sense is sometimes wrong. But human beings like living in the little bubble called normality, and don’t like being taken out of it forcefully. However, being taken out of the bubble forcefully is often the only way for them to grow, change, and discover new things. So if you’re wondering whether or not penguins fly, chances are you’re looking at a flying penguin right now. And if that flying penguin is being followed by a school of fish made of light, then chances are that one of the fish might change direction and swim toward you with the intention of swimming through you. And if that happens… well, you’ve got quite a life ahead of you. First, you’re going to pass out. So far, so good. But after you wake up, you’ll probably unconsciously activate some sort of power within you, like walking through solid objects (careful with that one) or producing bursts of fire from your hands. Hell, you might be able to grow plants on your body. An event like this is virtually guaranteed to happen only once to any given person. So, since you’re one of the lucky ones, what are you going to do with your newfound abilities? And what are your abilities in the first place? The possibilities are virtually limitless… -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The rules for this RP are as described in the Gendou Forum RP Rules post. Please have a look at that before you join if you haven’t done so already. In addition, romance is acceptable, as is mild swearing from time to time, but keep it PG-13. Also, this takes place in Tokyo, Japan (read the title!). Please use Japanese names unless you have a valid reason for not doing so. Also, do not join if you do not intend to see it through to the end. Skills: (At least one, no more than three) (represent your character’s more mundane aptitudes) Appearance: (pic or description) Bio: (At least three sentences) Personality: This is my character: Name: Tohru Tokino Age: 15 Power: Momentum Arrest (he can stop something’s motion entirely just by touching it. It doesn’t work on himself.) Skills: Analytical Mind, Street Fighting Appearance: Rather tall, black hair, dark eyes of an indeterminate shade. He dresses in casual wear, generally. Bio: Tohru is a model student at his middle school, Kasanegafuchi Middle. He’s quiet in class, has good grades, and doesn’t get into fights. However, behind the scenes is another matter. He’s a regular comer to an underground street-fighting ring, and has piled up quite the winning streak. He tells his single mother that he’s in the MMA club (Mixed Martial Arts) to cover up his injuries. Another thing about him – he sees flying penguins. About a week before, he saw a flying penguin with fish swimming through the air behind it. One of the fish swam through him, and he fainted and got pulled into the police station for vagrancy. Everything got cleared up by his mother, thankfully, but ever since then, he’s had a weird power…
