Well, I've been thinking, openings and endings aren't always suitable to anime. For example, a good action anime can have a slow opera-like song on its opening, that kills the intention to watch it completely. Or opening is better than the anime itself. So I've been trying to remember openings/endings, that hold the atmosphere of the anime in it. Well, except for crappy song+crappy anime, those ones I pass on :) Here's what I could remember: Slayers series(All tv ones) Card Captor Sakura - Catch You Catch Me Oh My Goddess ova opening. Record of Lodoss War ova opening. Sailormoon opening. Aria(all anime ones) Saiyuki - Still Time GTO - Driver High Clannad first opening. Negima remake opening - 1000 sparking. Zenki opening. Sister Princess opening(might be just me, but i think it suits it very) Umineko no naku koro ni - Katayoku no tori. Hatenkou Yuugi opening. Utawarerumono - Musouka DiGi Charat Winter Garden - Forget-me-not Gundam Seed - annani issho daddanoni Fate/Stay Night - Disillusion(most suitable opening song ever) Scryed - Reckless Fire |

I agree that ops and eds are a big factor in enjoying the anime. While its true a bad op can turn you off an anime, there are anime series that i would watch just because the music is awesome =P I also hate those eds that totally ruin the mood at the end of an anime. For example, a touching romance scene in a shoujo series ruined by some rock song or a climax of an action scene in a shounen ruined by some ballad DX Heres some good ones that stuck out in my head. The music fit nicely with the anime and encouraged my to keep watching. Bleach - Asterisk xxxHoLic - 19sai and Nobody Knows Blood+ - Aozora no Namida Arakawa Under the Bridge - first op and ed D-Gray Man - all ops and eds Darker Than Black - all ops Durarara!! - all ops and eds Fruits Basket - For Fruits Basket Vampire Knight - op and ed for the first season Zombie Loan - Chain Ring + all the ones you said above i fully agree with ^_^ As for ones that don't fit in at all... theres a lot but recently i think Kaichou wa Maid-sama seriously needs to rethink their music choices >_> I'm not saying the songs are bad since i like Heidi and... ok well i find the op annoying >_< but i think the music is not suited for it. Mostly the eds since rock doesn't fit the show at all, i think they should stick to pop |

Heh. If you talk about unsuitable, there are sometimes really awesome anime with disgusting openings/endings. Kaiji for example, Master Keaton, Monster... well, there are some... Oh, one of the songs that is extremely suitable also is Nekomimi-mode for Tsukuyomi, cuz all the anime is in nekomimi mode :) Also I thought about holic's 19sai, but was reluctant to add it to the list. |

I love the ED for Amagami SS, it's called Kimi no Hitomi ni Koishiteru by Shizuka Itou. Oh and the bgm in the Clannad Movie, Marumeru ~fildychrom~ by Eufonius is great! |

I agree with most of the songs you listed (Especially Hatenkou Yuugi, I love all the songs from that anime). So here are some anime that I've remembered with fitting music: Blassreiter - All the Openings and Endings FLCL - All the songs (Including the insert songs) K-ON - All the openings and endings Angel Beats - My Soul, Your Beats! (Piano Version) Azumanga Daioh - Raspberry Heaven Clannad - Dango Daikazoku Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu - Bouken Desho Desho? Well that's all I can think of. Plus you listed most of the ones I agree with (Catch You Catch Me, 1000% Sparking, Katayoku no Tori, and the songs from Hatenkou Yuugi). And I also have to agree with Ocean for xxxHolic and Durarara!! |

The diversity of music that suits anime is astounding. Each genre, from soaring orchestral scores to catchy J-pop and rock anthems, finds its perfect place within the colorful and vibrant world of anime. The melodies have the power to evoke a wide range of emotions, immersing us deeper into the characters' journeys and the unfolding narrative.
