Cryptid Squad What is a Cryptid? It is a creature whose existence has been suggested but that is unrecognized by a scientific consensus, and whose existence is moreover often regarded as highly unlikely. Throughout the years the existence of these magnificent and possibly dangerous creatures have been discounted as hoaxes. Bigfoot...Yeti...Loch Ness Monster...Bunyip...Chupacabra...Jersey Devil...Kraken...Werewolves...and even aliens... Are all of them really fake? The answer is...NO! The year is 2010, about 30 years ago a man named Preston B. Whitmore was attacked by one of these creatures that many said never existed. He survived and attempted to proved the existence of the beast but was scoffed and deamed a laughing stock. For over 25 years he has attempted to proved the existence of these...Cryptids. Having failed time and time again, in 2006 Preston came up with a new plan. He was getting on in age but did not want to die as a fake. Therefore he decided to get reinforcements. Preston possessed a multi-million pound inheritance which he invested years ago and it has constantly grown over time. He sent out scouts to observe others like him...men and women both young and experienced. Preston came up with a solution which will be his legacy, The Cryptid Squad. Preston's scouts found and monitored those who also had experiences like him as well as those who dabbled in the occult and such. Now 4 years later it is July 2010. Preston has finalized the list of candidates and issued invitations with his men to these rare individuals. All of them have accepted the invitations and were provided with free transport to Dublin Airport in Ireland. Preston's men will be waiting there to take them to his home: White's Castle in Athy, Ireland... And that is where...this journey begins... Yoo everyone! Roxas here with a brand new RP. This RP is heavily influenced by the Scooby-Doo cartoons but is much, much more serious (of course with a bit of humor). Now first things first, in this RP, everyone will be part of the Cryptid Squad. What will be the goal of the squad? What is their reason for existing? The answer is simple, they can be considered paranormal investigators of sorts. They deal in Cryptid's such as those I mentioned above and pretty much anything to do with the occult. The squad will be sent on 'missions' all over THE WORLD to investigate. Here each character MUST have something to do with either Cryptid's (having encountered them of something similar), have dabbled or have something to do with the occult (something involving demons and such) and pretty much anything you can think off that is not TOO OVER THE TOP. The Rules: •Character should be AT LEAST 17 and above in age. •You can not control any other characters other then your own unless permission is given •Killing another player's character is not allowed in this RP. If you wish to kill your own character that is fine, you may then create a new character that will join the squad. •If you're going to stop in the middle of the RP please tell me •Only 2 Characters maximum per player. •Try to post more then just a sentence •Romance, PG-13 please •Always post your location and time •No Auto-hitting, No quick kills No God-mode. This is a VERY realistic RP so character can and may die while on missions. •Script or Novel style - make sure we understand what your doing. •If you violate ANY of these rules you shall be warned and then asked to be removed if repeated again. •If you have any ideas for the plot or have any questions, please PM me. I also accept criticism and any violent reactions you may have. •Rule of Cool: If it's awesome and it makes the story even better, it's allowed, so long as it moves the story forward and isn't outright power-playing bullcrap. •Violence and bloodshed is allowed with no limits. Personality - Appearance - [Picture or Written] Bio - Any questions or suggestions please PM me. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Name - Ulquiorra Schiffer Nickname/Title - The Batman Age - 22 (Birthday: October 31) Gender - Male Nationality - American (Hometown: Salem, Massachusetts) Occupation - Paranormal Investigator Hobbies - Drawing, fishing and reading. Weapon - A standard sized katana with a green handle and sheath he named Murciélago (Spanish for "Bat"). The guard has two curved extensions from its long sides, with a line going through both sides to give it an eye-like appearance. Special Gift/s - a)Demon Form: Having a demon sealed in him at birth, Ulquiorra has succeeded in dominating and acquiring its powers after YEARS of hard training. Once activated, he unleashes a black (with green outline) burst of spiritual energy that falls around Ulquiorra as green rain. In his true form, Ulquiorra becomes bat-like in appearance. While in this form he gains large black bat wings on his back, his hair becomes longer and wilder, he gains a helmet of sorts atop his head, with two large horns extending outward to the sides towards the front. The lines on his face become black, broader and more triangular and his fingernails lengthen. His attire becomes more form fitting and closed at the top, becoming more like a robe towards the bottom. In this form, he can use his wings for flight. He gains even greater physical abilities in this form. He is shown to have the ability to generate green energy javelins. He uses them as ranged weapons throwing them at an opponent and as a melee weapon. He also posses several types of demonic attacks. b)Dilated Perception: Ulquiorra's eyes are slitted but are MUCH more sharper than a normal humans. He rarely misses minute details and is able to read an enemies movements with ease. He is also able to slow down HIS sense of time. This allows him more time to think and eventually react to a situation. He also has very good night vision. c)Weapons Specialist: It is unknown how, but Ulquiorra is skilled in using several types of weapons. his main specialty is in using swordplay. He uses the Shigure Souen Style of Swordsmanship. Personality - Ulquiorra is described as a quiet, reserved, and often benevolent individual. He is a pacifist, but while he dislikes war and conflict, he is more than willing to fight if it means protecting his friends and loved ones. He's kind and considerate to people around him but there is a darker aspect of him. He wants to change the world for the better and often places his hopes in the next generation to fight their hardest for the sake of ending war and bringing about a new peace. He is also rather sarcastic but often ends up in comedic and ridiculous situations. Appearance -   (Demon Form) Bio - Ulquiorra was born on All Hallows Eve but not in the best of situations. His mother was kidnapped from the hospital before he was born by Satanists. She was used in that night to summon a Demon from the underworld. Ulquiorra's father was a famous man of the occults. He and his best friend arrived to find his wife dead and the rest of the Satanists slaughtered and the demon standing over his son. Try as they could, the creature was just to powerful to kill. In desperation, his father used a ritual of sorts. he sacrificed his life to seal the demon into his son. His last wish was his best friend, Sirius Black to raise his son as his own. Sirius agreed and after burying his lifelong friend took the boy and raised him. When he was 15, Ulquiorra was told the truth of the events of that night. In order to honor to his father's sacrifice, Ulquiorra also took up investigating mysteries and the occult. He has become very famous over the years and was eventually approached by one of Preston's men. Out of curiosity, he decided to accept the invitation and see if it was worth it... __________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Name - Vincent Valentine Nickname/Title - Vampire Age - 26 (Birthday: January 5) Gender - Male Nationality - English (Hometown: Norwich, Norfolk) Occupation - British SBS (Special Boat Squadron) Captain Hobbies - Shopping, reading and cooking Weapon - Cerberus and Death Penalty are Vincent's modified handguns that he prefers to use. Cerberus is a semi-automatic, break loading revolver with three barrels and three chambers. It is initially capable of holding 18 shots at once, six per chamber. It is reloaded by a breaking mechanism that tilts the barrel and chambers an angle, allowing the ejection of spent cartridges and the placement of fresh rounds, ending with a flick of the wrist that snaps the barrel back into place. Three bullets are fired at once, allowing for only 6 shots per reload. The bullets he uses are modified AAR(Anti-Armour Rounds) designed to counter the heavy armor worn by federation soldiers. It is ornamented with scrollwork patterns, a small dog's head in place of the iron sights on each barrel, and a silver chain in the shape of a three-headed dog with a wing hanging from the end of the grip. Death penalty is similar to Cerberus but sports five unraveling chambers, and a menacing look that makes it resemble a revolver and the barrel is in the design of a cross. However the ammo used by it is very different. The Death penalty uses the newly designed ATR(Anti-Tank Rounds) bullets. These bullets are capable of piercing a tank's armor at POINT-BLANK RANGE and are devastating against infantry however the recoil deals heavy damage to the hand using it. Cerberus  Death Penalty  Special Gift/s - a)Gunner: Vincent is skilled in usage in any and all types of ranged weapons ranging from standard handguns to bows ans even bazookas. b)Acrobatics: Vincent is VERY agile and through unknown training with Marian Cross is able to jump great distances and heights. His agility is easily ranked as superhuman. c)Military Training: Vincent hs about 8 years of military training with the British SAS and SBS. He has also seen combat as well over the years. Personality - Dark and brooding. Despite his cold personality, he is not uncaring; he loves his little sister Nunnally. He often is reluctant to speak, although when he does he typically has something very important to say. Vincent is naturally a loner, but gets along well with others easily. However he feels irritated when called him emo or when others call him a vampire(his appearance resembles one). He is only seen to be loud when dealing with stupid situations. Appearance -  Bio - Vincent's hometown of Norfolk was legendary for its legendary ghostly black dog called the Black Shuck. He normally paid little attention to such rumors until one night on December 23. He was sleeping home when a loud howl awoke him around midnight. He left his rooms to find his parents also up and investigating the sound. At first they found nothing but while they were next to a window, it shattered and a huge dog-like beast crashed in. The beast proceed to attack and maul his parents. His father roared at him to take his little sister, Nunnally to safety. Vincent rushed upstairs and grabbed his sister before jumping out of a window to a tree and proceeding to run away. However luck was not on his side as the beast gave chase. Eventually it crashed into him and knocked him down. Vincent is his desperation to protect his sister put himself in front of her and confronted the beast. His first good look of the monster was burned into his eyes forever. It was a large black dog the size of a horse with malevolent flaming eyes as being 'like saucers'. Its feet was on fire but it was not harmed. As the beast prepared to end it, a bullet shot out and tore out one of its eyes. The creature stalked back into the night in pain a man with flaming red hair wearing a black coat stepped into view. He introduced himself as a former SAS Colonel, Marian Cross. He then informed Vincent that the beast that killed his parents was a type of Cryptid called a Hellhound. Sevweral years passed, Vincent joined the SAS and eventually the SBS. His sister and him live in a home provided to them by Marian. Vincent has often tried to find a way to revenge his family on the beast that escaped that night. Recently, he received an invitation by one of Preston's men. Out of curiosity, he decided to accept the invitation and see if it could bring him a step closer to revenge...    |

Got ur PM and find it really interesting.Do note me if there's anything wrong,'cause I'm not sure what to write,and I'm using a few ideas from the RP I played before ;P Name - Snake Valentine Nickname/Title - Human Battleship,HumBatt for short.He's got more of it,but this will do for now.His military buddies knows him by the title Supreme Shogun,the most honorable title personally given by the Emperor for his achivements. Age - 30 (Birthday:Aug 22) Gender - Male Nationality - Japanese(Hometown:Akihabara,Chidoya City,Tokyo) Occupation - Ship captain of the Yamato Shogun,one of the powerful 3 SSB(Supreme Shogun Battleship) series. Hobbies - Watch animes,play video games and read comics(hence his hometown;the place was a paradise for otakus and Akiba-Keis,and he happens to be one of the Akiba-Keis) Weapon - Wave-Force(WF) Katana - At first glance,it appears as a normal katana to most soldiers,but when unsheated,it wields powerful energy force in it.Similar to the one wielded by the Shogun Executioner,it emits energy waves that's more than powerful enough to slice even the thickest armor,although continuous usage of the blade would bring severe consequences;the worst being getting electrocuted by its energy as the result of overloading. Special Gift/s - 1.Ramming Speed - Through robust Imperial training and sea battle experiences(mostly involving Shogun Battleships,even his own ships),Snake learns to ram multiple enemies at once when faced with them at close range,claiming that he'll teach them a very hard lesson not to come close by his front.One of the witness claims that although suicidal,it's proves to be really powerful,enough to knock a tank off when hit(but in truth,Snake can't really ram a tank off;he said it's too much for a human to ram onto one,unless one wears a battlesuit powerful enough to do so.He do,however,were able to ram a single car off course,causing devastating damages to those unlucky enough to get into his way). 2.Marksmanship - His experience with the guns(but not limited to his ship's main guns) have delevoped his eyes to the point where he can hit a running target with ease by deducing their path ahead.Along with long-term gaming,he hit his targets with surprising high 95% accuracy(he could do better,but certain factors had him limited,though with some compensations). 3.Eidetic memory - Surprisingly,but yes,he have very good memories.A single good glance is all he needs to remember things and places.He can remember even the most complicated things(though sometimes he need some time to remember),and places he have went so far.Unfortunately,though,he somehow abused it when he's in Akihabara,mostly to jumpstart when certain events are about to begin(once,he woke up really early in the morning and went towards the event's venue,and waited there before everyone else comes).He could even recall the day he was attacked(he even wrote the exact date and time he took the photo shots of the Kraken). Personality - Extremely optimistic,even in the heat of a battle where most would have given up,or close to.Excites when seeing something great to him and loves crazy stuffs;a truly happy-go-lucky man.Some sees him as naive,but he don't care. Appearance - Medium long red hair,6 feet in height.Wears a red Japanese trench coat and a bandanna on his forehead. Bio - During one of his cruise,something big rocked his ship hard,and heads out to take a good look.That time,it was raining hard,making things a lot more difficult.When things calmed down a little,Snake gets a good look at the creature attacking his ship,and what he saw was something he only sees once in the Internet;a Kraken,dubbed the "Giant Squid" by him and some of his friends,nearly the same size of his ship(the ship was 280m in length by overall).He ordered the crews to fire the main guns toward it,ripping only a few of its tentacles before it escapes,suffering few scratches from it.He told his military buddies about the encounter the next day,only to laughed out by them.Snake didn't give up from there,and keeps posting pictures he captured into the Internet.Eventually,a email came to him by one of the Preston's men,saying that it catch his attention quite well and therefore,invited him to come over.Snake accepted,but he said to him that he won't be coming by airplanes,but by his own ships... |
