Has anyone ever used this app before? It's pretty neat. What it is is basically an overall client manager that merges your clients together. REALLY helpful for those who use multiple clients like me. Right now I only have AIM/MSN linked together, cause friggin' MSN 8 for Mac was pissing me off. It also helps keeps all your windows together and uses less computer power to run. The only thing it doesn't seem to have is having an addition for Skype, but yeah I totally recommend this over anything else. It's awesome. You can share emotions and display pictures cross client too which is even more awesome if people are picky about that. ------- |

Yea, it's based on Pidgin's libpurple for its protocol. You could try install Pidgin then install the plugin skype4pidgin if you need Skype. You still give skype for adium a try. The only downside is...you need Skype to be running >.> Still, it's just too bad that both Pidgin and Adium doesn't provide custom 'Away' messages for MSN though but yea, these two are far better off than live messenger. |

Hmm, I read somewhere (if not their main site) that they're not going to support Skype anymore due to some lawsuit issue? Also they're planning on releasing Adium 2.0 where users can webchat via AIM (or something). I still have Skype as a separate app as well as MSN to web chat with, but yeah MSN crashed non-stop last time I used it a few days ago. About custom away messages, you mean away messages you personally make? Because I've seen them, or made them I should say. I like how they have iTunes as a status, too, I enjoyed that on MSN/AIM when I used Winamp on my PC a long time ago. ------- |

I'm not sure about that though. The skype plugin mainpage didn't mention anything about it. Yea, those personal away messages. Wanted to make one for Pidgin MSN but no support. |

Here was where I read it from: http://trac.adium.im/wiki/VoiceAndVideo So Pidgin apparently has webchat/videochat, it's possibly a future or they would like to have it in future Adium. ------- |

I missed that article. Haha. I don't really use web and video chat though but yea, Pidgin has implemented one. I won't be surprise if Adium decides to have that function via third-party plugins. |
