Listen up kids! It's storytime: Once upon a time, there was a doll maker. Rarely was his name praised for having the most beautiful dolls, quite honestly it was the opposite. His age was slowly appearing on his face, his livelihood gradually disappearing due to arthritic hands. “Maybe once more.†His voice ragged, his body tired. Maybe his last creation will become his greatest. A mediocre man he will be no more. Wholeheartedly, he threw himself into his work hoping and praying. Then, he was finished. It was nothing he hoped it would be. Enraged, he started out his door to throw the doll away, disposing of his past failure. “Wait!†A voice sung out to him. A winged creature floated in front of him. What was supposed to come of this? “I’ll make a deal with you.†“Well, what is it?†“I’ll transform this doll into a beautiful being, but in return you must teach her how to be human or back to a doll she’ll go.†The man pondered upon the idea, wondering would it be worth the deal. The man longed for a daughter, but with his beloved gone the dream was impossibility. “I’ll agree to the deal.†And before his eyes, the doll he formally cursed turned into a beautiful young girl, nothing his hands can ever create. “Your trail will last for ten years, if you fail to do so, you will lose her.†And that was the last words the pixie spoke to him. For years the man raised the girl as if she was his own daughter—well, she was. As it slowly came across the ten year mark, the doll maker felt if his daughter haven’t learn the meaning of being human. So he sent her off on a journey with a small box and a white dove. “Write often and tell me of what you learn.†And off she went. Spring turned into fall and her letters continued to his home. Every day he stood by the window hoping she will return. Although, deep inside of him he knew that will never be, for she is a doll. But what type of characters are there? Well there are many types, pixies, fairies, knights, and kings! But they all follow a certain a certain pattern and trait. Remember, this is a fairytale so anything is possible. Name: Age: Race: (Human, pixies, fairies, fantasy creatures) Occupation: Biography: (optional) Personality: Other: Well...not anything is possible There are rules you have to adhere, but they are so simple. No killing without the kille(?) consent. This is not a script style roleplay, this is going to be written in a novel style format Please do not control other people characters *playing puppet master* In that style, your character is not all powerful, they are not perfect Everything has flaws, embrace them. No loners, it's quite impossible to move forward if you never attempt to make friends. To keep from cluttering the thread, please PM me your applications. Oh yeah, follow along with the common sense thing. Is there anything else I should know? This is a fairytale like rp, no saving the world or other jibber jabber. Also, this rp is primarily character driven. You control how the rp will flow, no some unforeseen gamemaster. You can also create many mini plots and other fun things to make the rp enjoyable. Occupation: Traveler Biography: (optional) Personality: Very reserved and appears to be socially inept. Despite appearances, she seems to have quite a mischievous streak within her. Other: Will improve on this later. Name:Noctis Lucis Caelum Age:??(appears 19) Race:Vampire Occupation:Writer/Traveler Biography:One of the original Vampires that first came into humankind.He was one of the most bloodthirsty and violent of his kind,but suddenly disappeared from history one day. He came out disguised as a traveler and a writer 500 years later and has been traveling with Madeline since he met her on the road.Due to his Vampiric appearance,he usually attracts young women and unwanted attention.He is rumored to be one the few remaining Originals. Personality:Cheerful and very Friendly but can be cold and cruel. Appearance:  Other:He refuses to make new Vampires and he usually does not hunt humans anymore.Just wants to make a book about his travels.He carries around a sword named 'Riptide' for protection. Name: Andrew Wagner (Andy for short) Age: 18 Race: Human Occupation: a traveling performer (puppet shows) Bio: Andy grew up with a mother than traveled alot. he never stayed in one place long enugh to make any real friends, though he's a very friendly guy. when he was 8 his sister was kidnapped, and mother died at 10. he learned an old puppet trick from his mother that keeps earning him money, and he has fun doing so. Personality: usually calm and frtiendly, but the the smallest delay in his travels gets him worked up. Other: he usually plays with his stuffed puppets, and always torys to keep people smiling. (think like Yukito Kunosaki does from Air TV) he has also been practicing fortune telling but isnt very good at it. Name: Zero Alexander Wolfstein Alseif Age: looks 18 (2000 years old) Race: Fantasy Creature: Dragoon Knight Occupation: Traveller (Rurouni) Bio: Zero is one of the few dragoons knight alive in the other realm, the dragoon clan was nearly extinct due to the war with another fantasy creature in the other realm. Zero hardly trust humans, but is yet kind to them especially to the animals and the nature of the human world. When Zero had step into the human realm, he change his appearance to appear like human. The only thing that shows that he is not human is the ancient marking on his back which all Dragoon should have if they were to cross the human realm. Occasionally he would change into his second appearance to avoid danger or notice. Personality: Laid-back, Calm, Quiet, reserve. Very friendly once he trust you. Appearance: Dragon form:  Dragoon Knight form:(post later) 1st Human form:  2nd human form:  ~Name: Violet "Eve" Yoel ~Age: 57, but looks 18 ~Race: Elf ~Occupation: Bounty Hunter ~Appearance:  ~Biography: Eve may not look it, but she is actually a famous bounty hunter. She went into profession at the age of 36 (when she looked 14). She learned to fight with a bow and arrow when she was this age, and she was the top of her class, so the government hired her to be a bounty hunter. She is still a bounty hunter, however she has vowed not to kill unless she is forced to do so. ~Personality: She is a very serious person because of her profession, however she will relax and be more playful with her friends at times. ~Other: Her bow is very unique since it is the most up to date model from the best bow and arrow company, and it is custom made just for Eve. Usually she does not use normal arrows, instead there are laser arrows which still pierce the target in the same way of a normal bow and arrow; and these arrows usually burn the target and/or cause the target to bleed. She can still use normal arrows, but when she uses them with this arrow, it will go through the target (possibly killing them, which Eve does not want to do). Name: Claudia de Lioncourt Age: ?? Looks 11 Race: Vampire Occupation: Model/Actress Biography: One of the original vampires she had known Noctis quite well before he disappeared. Now she is searching to find him once again. She had always been a bit on the over dramatic type, but she is also one of the most beautiful creatures in the world. In the childishly pretty way. She spent quite a bit of time in New Orleans and eventually became the inspiration for a certain charter in a 'fictional' vampire novel, from an author in the area. She adopted the name when she went into acting. Personality: She is sweet and childish, but she has a wisdom one could only hope for. Her many years are not reflected in her undying passion and tough she my look young and naive she probably knows more than the people around her. Except for maybe Noctis. @ayumi: sorry to ask this but i'm using a Wii and i am unable copy/paste with it. is it ok if i make a profile, and then you copy and paste it form mine into your first post. it would be easier than writing it down by hand and then PMing you. and i can delete that post after you copy the info.....is that ok?

“Oh.†The girl sighed coming across a new town. The sight shouldn’t fascinate her anymore, but being completely sheltered for most of her life…the image will always be spectacular to her. This was a little bit of a special situation, considering how low her funds were getting. Can she use this as a potential lesson? Most humans did take on jobs, right? It was starting to become embarrassing (or was humiliating? Emotions are such confusing things) to ask for money when her father can use it for something other than her. Yes, the fact of the matter is that she’s a doll. That didn’t excuse the fact she felt everything a human does. If you pinch her, she will cry and possibly kick you. Tickle her and you’ll light up her day. As for now, the grumbling stomach was demanding to eat something other than berries. Instead of continuing to stand here and contemplate her humanity, a journey into town is where she’s going to start her new adventure. (and the post to get everything rolling) |

(Andy, a small town, street corner.) i pull out my favorite puppet. "well Geoffery. we dont have that much left. so what'll it be this time? save the princess?" the cloth puppet shakes it's head. "Tortoise and Hare" the puppet shakes it's head. "Tournament Royal? we havent done that one in a while." the puppet nods. Andy clears a spot on the ground, in front of an Inn. he lays out a carpet and pulls out a few more cloth puppets, laying them on the carpet. "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! BOYS AND GIRLS! Who wants to see a puppet show?!" little kids start to gather around, as the parents look onward. Andy holds up his hands as teh 5 puppets on the carpet stand up, almost like magic. "Tournament Royal is about to beging." he said in a feminine voice, as a girl puppet dressed and a pincess walked toward the crowd. "i am princess Alura, and the winner of this tournament is to be my king." he makes the four other puppets bow at the female puppet and started the tournament. "up first is Prince Geoffrey of Camelot, and Prince Issac of Ireland." the two puppets drew there swords and the children cheered for the puppet they wanted to win the tournatment.

(ooc:Hope you don't mind me using first person view of posting) __________________________________________________________________________________ I was standing behind the little miss as she looked over a new town.I met her when she was but three months into her little quest.A quest to discover the true meaning of life,maybe?She asked me that question and even though I had the accumulated knowledge of a thousand years,I still could not answer her. I smiled as she said “Oh.†"Do you want to go down there,Madeline?" I asked as I looked at her and took her hand into mine and pulled her towards the town.As we walked towards the town I heard her stomach. I looked back at her and laughed a little. "We'll get something to eat." I said to her and then we reached the town gates.First thing I sensed was all the humans around me.I had to exert much effort in controlling my self once more.After all it had been a few months since we last ended up in a lively town as this.Then my hearing told me of an interesting thing.A puppet show was being played in the streets. Claudia l Infront of the Puppet Show Claudia stood quite still among the kids watching the puppet show. She fit in with them, her pale skin, delicate hands and little body looked like that of a child. However it had been over a thousand years since she had really turned eleven. Even still she found herself shading her eyes against the sun to watch the preference. She told herself it was because she appreciated theater arts, but deep down it was because she wanted the puppet prince from Ireland to win the Tournament Royal. She was just about to sit down and tuck her feet under her little dress and watch the show when she sensed another vampire approaching. She could feel him, but she couldn't hear his thoughts and she automatically knew he was old and powerful. She turned around and craned her neck over the taller adults standing behind the group of children. Claudia pushed her way though the crowd of parents and her eyes widened. She sucked air in to her mouth a little quickly and just gaped at the sight before her. There he was, the very man she had been looking for. Her year long quest to find Noctis had ended. She wanted to run over and filing herself upon him, but restrained for two reasons. 1. Noctis probably wouldn't particularly enjoy that kind of greeting. 2. There was an absolutely delicious looking child with him. She looked over this girl and wondered how a human child could look so tasty. Her beauty matched Claudia's and suddenly the girl found herself feeling a little Jealous. She buried the feeling and looked away as the little girl began to approach her. She was interested in the puppet show as well. Noctis had walked in the other direction and appeared to be searching for something. Claudia searched the little girl's thoughts. He was looking for food. Claudia smirked to herself and ran over to Noctis appearing at his side. "Good Afternoon good sir. I recommend the cafe at the end of the street if you are looking for a bite to eat." |

As I walked away,I sensed something vaguely familiar.Something ancient as I was,was near me.I cleared my head and decided that I was feeling a bit lonely,seeing as I was one of the few remaining of our kind.I just put my hand on the hilt of my sword.It always gave me a sense of security. As I walked away from Madeline a voice came from my side and said "Good Afternoon good sir. I recommend the cafe at the end of the street if you are looking for a bite to eat." "That would depend on what you want to eat,Miss Cladia." I said as I immediately recognized the child-like voice.Slowly I turned and she was there standing beside me as if we were back in the dark days where I feed on humans.Hey,being the most potent predator in the world,I also had bad days,or rather years. "It seems your still the same old person I remember." I said as I looked at her "What are you doing so far away from the Mansion,Miss Cladia?" I asked her and looked around to see if there were others.And then I remembered seeing her face in various posters during my travels before I meet Madeline. "Ahhh..yes,I remember you were a Model and an Actress." I said as I laughed a bit "An Elder Vampire pretending to be a Vampire is quite funny,don't you think?" |

"As for being away from the mansion, that is simply because I have been looking for you. Oh don't worry this is purely for my own enjoyment. You know those elders can be so stuffy some times." she mused thoughtfully. "As I remember it you were always quite the lively one!" she steered Noctis in the direction of the cafe. "And the cafe will sincerely have wonderful food for you human companion. I bumped into her at the puppet show!" |

(Andy, Village) "This fight is over Geffery. i will win tournament, and take princess Alura as my maiden." the irish prince laughed. he had the great Geoffry on 1 knee leaning on his own sword. "there is one thing you do not know Issac and that is win to give up you are in the same condition as me, and even i can barely fight." Geoffery stated back at Issac. the fight was amazing andlasted for almost 25 minutes. Andy thought in his head 'i need to wrap this round up, soon.' Issac stumbles over to to geoffery and raises his sword over his head. Geoffery pulled his sword out of the ground and jabbed it under Issac's right arm. This symbolized Issac geting stabbed. "The winner of round one is Prince Geoffery of comalot." the children cheer, as a few of them are sad that Issac lost. Andy was familiar with this reaction, but everyone who saw his show was always happy in the end. before he start the second round a lady walk up next to him and gave him some water. "ah, thank you. thank you very much." "Round two," Alura announced, "Sir Duff of Scotland, and Prince Shun of China." Andy roses his hands as the other two puppets stood up and got ready to fight for the fare Alura.

[Zero| village] I walked into a village, after travelling around the world as a rurouni, how I wish to go back to the other realm, but I have chosen to life. As I walk deeper into the village. I saw a crowd gathering around, for I saw there is a puppet show. Hmm interesting. Though puppet shows is interesting, but the interest has died. I have never stayed interest in something for very long. The only thing I have stayed interest for so long is swordsmanship. I look down at the sword that is equip to my belt. Though it is actually a katana that I inherited from a friend in the eastern country many years ago. I look at the puppet show for a moment, then continue on within the village, ignoring the stares by both men and women. They stare for because of my unusual hair color along with my eyes. But mostly it's the aura that surrounds me. |

It seemed that many things were catching her attention as she came across the puppet show. Oh, what to do? Watch the puppet show or get something to eat? By time she gets something to eat, she might miss something new and enjoyable. Her face brightened when Noctis suggested that he can get her something to eat. Madeleine had much to thank to the vampire, seeing that outside of her father, she really haven’t been exposed to the world. This was horrible since she was scammed a few times along the way. The girl may have a bit of intelligence, but blind faith into others will be the death of her. It nearly was and delayed a few letters to her father, he probably assumed the worse. It seems her previous thoughts of job hunting temporarily took a backseat. With her attention span, whoever hires her will need a heart of gold, the patience of a saint, and a large bottle of whiskey. Naïveté can get her so far. “Really? That would be wonderful!†Her attention quickly turned to the puppet show. Now, just exact how did he do that? She’ll have to ask whenever he was finish. Is it rude to interrupt others? |

I laughed as Claudia answered my question as to why she was so far away. "Sorry,it's just hearing an Elder say that herself is quite amusing." I said to her as I ruffled her hair like a little child. "Well,for one,my companion is not entirely human herself.I don't even know what to call her." I said to her as I turned to the cafe and started walking. "Do you want to come with us? That is if Mademoiselle Madeleine approves of more company,but..I don't think she refuses easily,seeing as she has probably the most dangerous elder around her." I asked her as I walked towards the cafe |

Claudia cast her eyes to the ground, "Not that I would know, I was changed far too young to ever know what it meant to be human." She lifted her head up and smiled at Noctis, "I would love to come with you! I hope your Mademoiselle Madeleine approves!" Claudia was practically bouncing with joy, "You know it really isn't all that strange to hear me, of all people, say that the elders are boring. I get bored ever so easily. I guess it would seem that even after a thousand years I am still such a child." Claudia was in good spirits, but she had always wanted to know what it would be like to be older. With her never aging body she would never be able to fall in love. Well she could fall in love, but no one would return the feelings. She sighed softly. "Well I'm going to go meet you lovely Miss Madeleine. I can always tell you what she would like to eat." Claudia had put on a wide grin, "But you'll have to open up to hear me." she flounced away tapping a finger to her head. Claudia joined the crowd in front of the puppet show again, and put on her childish air once again. She turned to Madeleine. "Hello! What is your name?" she asked giving the girl a toothy smile, but she was careful to hide her fangs, "My name is Claudia!" |

{Eve/Village} Eve was in a small village. Not hunting anyone in particular, but still... on guard. She was always ready in case the time for some action arose. Well, she shouldn't say she wasn't hunting anyone in particular, because she was. One person, actually. He is supposedly great elder vampire, whose name was Noctis. However, no one knows what he looks like; it has been so long since he has killed anyone for food, so he isn't really on the watch list anymore. But still... even to find him, after so long, and not many leads at all, it would be just... amazing. She walked a few blocks, and saw a puppeteer putting on a puttpet show for the children. 'Why not watch it?' she thought. She stood high above the children (for she was five foot nine) and watched a show of them fighting. Actually, Eve found that it was quite amusing. She looked around at the children watching the show, and then towards the adults. 'They all seem so... happy.' Eve thought,'Well, it's probably because they have people like me to protect them.' She chuckled a little at the thought. |
