Cannot read from source file or disk
Link | by wayne on 2009-12-25 10:50:42
Hi guys,

I'd read the previous thread reagrding this topic, and I'm really sorry for bringing this up again as the previous thread did not come with any result.

I'm having this problem and would like to find out how many people are facing this and even better if anyone ever solve this issue?

Methods I had tried:

- Editing my registry (According to steps ref. from Microsoft support)

- Editing my administion services

- Using Firefox to download the songs

Clearly all the steps I tried leads me no where but back to the problem again...

Please advice on what I can do to solve this, thanks in advance.

Wayne

Step 1: Buy a Mac.

(lol, for the win)

Dude, if you have a problem or issue, stick with the forums, don't drag them onto the polls... -__________-"

Wayne. Question. Are you using any download accelerators or anything that could enhance you downloading stuff faster?

Second. The reason why your getting this error is that the file could be corrupt or that your computer HDD could possibly be corrupted (Highly Unlikely) or there is a hidden or "tagged" character within the song name.

Try renaming the file. I know if you download or get anything off a Mac it would put a ._(Filename here) (Sometimes its hidden) and as it stands Explorer can't read periods.

If those don't work, try running it administrator...its a long shot but if your using Windows XP then ignore this one

Hi guys,

Sadly I'm not using any download accelarator or anything, juz purely IE downloader... my HDD is alright and no issues on the file names...

I was wondering, anybody can download from the gendou server?

Of course it's a software issue.
Clearly, since my logs indicate that the download was initiated normally, the issue is on your computer.
If you have Firefox setup with no third party extensions installed, downloading will work correctly.
