Soul eater finally coming to dvd dubbed!! I'm so excited for it1 but black stars voice is so....girly(its voiced by a girl)and souls voice is...perfection! The only bad thing about this is that funimation dvds are so expensive...:( ooh well.if i wan't it,I'm gonna buy it :3   |

Looks like the dubbing isn't too awful... yet. Though... there isn't really much to be excited about if you've seen the whole series. Lets hope funimation doesn't screw up the dubbing too hard later. Maka's is great. Black star is iffy. Death is terrible. Way to raspy.

At last. But it seems like the voice actors did not give much efforts? Or their voices didn't suit any characters of Soul Eater.     |

Can't give my opinion, though I will say FUNimation's changed a bit in the past few years.

I haven't heard any yet, but on the mention of effort, I think a problem these days is voice actors [ not all ] never bother to learn their character and learn how to best portray them by doing this. Like I said in another thread, this comes from an article I recently read. It made alot of sense, so now I like to say it too, haha! As far as SOul Eater goes, the original was epic, so I hope they do well with the dub. I need to look up who is VAing who; Im sure Yuri and JYB are there somewhere! Soul Eater ftw ~ :] |
