The heck? what a weird email...

so today I was checking my email spam box and i stumbled upon this email: ------ Hello Dear How are you doing today i,hope every thing is under control ,? if so thanks be to God almighty who made it so ,My name is wanita. I come across your profiel and address in this site (gendou.com) and I personaly became interested in being your friend even more than that ,but as time gose on we will know better , though we can not meet face to face for the moment ,but all is the same . I will be very glad if you can contact me now so that i can send you my pictures and tell you more about myself Hoping to talk to you soon ,have a nice day and ramain Bless. Regards, wanita ----------- wtf...? got it November 28, 2009. there's no message in my gendou account inbox related to this email. I don't know if this is for real or not, and if it is, I'd have to decline the offer. does anyone know this person or know if this is some sort of joke/ email scam/ dating site ruse? really odd. normally I just post in philosophy and games, but I just felt compelled to share this odd email since it mentioned gendou.com. ... ... ...how the heck did she (or he) get my address from my profile O_o

Seem like a lot of people are getting this kind of email. Since its in your spam box, you should ignored it. None of people here should be able to know your email unless you post it on your profile to be view by public, or you gave it to your friends. We do have send message here too, so never trust something from outside. |

This is just a spam email. Don't worry about it, just delete it. All of you clicked the checkbox "Show Email?" beside which was the clear warning, "If this is selected, your email will be visible to anyone visiting Gendou.com" When you post your email on the internet, you should expect to get spammed. I have disabled this feature in any case. Also, I did report the abuse to the ISP from which the spam originated, so that's the end of it.
