our teacher wrote that when an object is lifted up from a Planet the change in GPE is negative and that when the object falls onto the planet.. the change in GPE is positive but I keep getting the opposite answers (lifted up from a Planet GPE is positive) I'm really confused x.x I was planning her ask her today but there was a sub (sub didn't know anything) and we have the test tomorrow... so please help me if anyone understands >< thanks lots! |

Your are right. Higher objects have more potential energy. This energy is turned into kinetic energy as the object falls.
