Hey, do you guys know any good songs like the ones from .hack//SIGN? I don't really know how to describe them... I guess there's a lot of violin and stuff like that. Anything to suggest?

well the Final Fantasy game soundtracks, particularly Fib=nal Fantasy VII, and XIIhave songs similar to Hack sign. also Macross Pls soundtracks (all 4) also Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away. has some good instrumentals. so does record of lodoss wars

Just search Kajiura Yuki, and download. Really, most of her songs have the same feel, but vary a bit and if you like one of her songs, you will most likely like most of them. Check out "Ensei" and "Mezame" from Mai-Hime first as those are two really good ones.

| why not try her other recent works, say with saeko chiba, or fictionjunction yuuka? madlax is comparable to noir and its opening theme, Hitomi no Kakera, reminds me her see-saw style :-) |

| I'd also reccomend getting the Aquarian Age soundtrack, as Yuki Kajiura worked on that, and it's very similar to .hack. Also, some of the Xenosaga musics (OST 2, I believe) she worked on, and it's very similar to .hack. |

| For the new .hack game .hack//GU, I would like to know who is in charge of the game music. The songs from .hack//SIGN usually incorporate J-Pop, and as somebody once said, some techno and a hint of Goth. Kajiru Yuki's album labled "Fiction" is actually pretty good, and contains the originals for some of the SIGN songs. Personally, I liked the SIGN OST's, though people in some .hack fan communities have gone slightly crazy about the new GU song. I think that the new songs are good, and better then the original Infection-Quarantine OST's. Some of the songs from Zone of Enders (Heart of Air/Kiss me Sunlights, Beyond the bounds, and a few more.) are really good, and are slightly similar to the songs from SIGN, but are just as good being unique. |
