MPEG format

I have been trying to download songs for a while and listen but I have a problem. The files I download have this format in their title: FILE'S NAME.mp3.mpeg The properties of the song, shows the format as mpeg but when I try to convert it to mp3, the program says the file is damages. No program works with it. I have a mp3 player and I need the song in mp3 format. What should I do? Where is the problem? why there is both mp3 and mpeg in the title? |

Do not "convert" the file to mp3, simply rename it without the ".mpeg" extension. Your browser should NOT be renaming files, and I have no idea why it would be. If you're using a download manager or download accelerator, disable that software before downloading. It looks like you've been a member for a long time, did this just start happening? Are you using new software?

Renaming the files didn't work. I tried it in the beginning. I thought about your answer and realized the only change is the program I'm using as the browser. I was using Google Chrome when downloading these files so I tried another browser and the files are just fine. Thank you very much for solving my problem. |
