Hey, what's up? I was wondering if any of you do anime clubs anywhere in your towns or at you schools 'cause I would like to know what helps a good anime club going for a long time. A friend and I thought about setting up a club of our own at our school, and I had been in an anime club and learned some of its traditions before I moved from my old school. If you guys want, maybe you can offer some advice and maybe I can help you out if I think of anything. Thanks! |

I go to MisoAnimeClub in alabama. there web is www.misoanimeclub.org Anyways they show 5 show & 2 episodes of each w/2 15-30 breaks. Them have been doing this for about 1 1/2 years(I joined last aug.). The club has a snack table of softdrinks, snacks, & also pocky&ramune. They do about 4 parties for full memebers(which cost $8 biannual to be a member) & normally have ralffle for stuff, you get ralffle tickets for every $2.50 spent at the snack table. The shows are also subbed. Sometimes we have movies nights & show only one episode of each show after a movie. Our club is on South Alabama College grounds too. But it's alot of work for a club we have 5 people keeping ours up. A web page is nice to have too w/a forum. The full memebers get 10% off a web site & books-a-million, rent anime(free&only for full members)that we watched already, that is once the series has been shown all the way. I ofcurse the parties, & now we get to vote on what show we watch next at the club. If your club goes well let me know I would love to hear about it, & if you start a web page w/a forum I'll join in a heart beat too.
Never date a guy stranger than you. If so, make sure he's loaded.

My old club had the usual president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer, but we also had the founder, publicist, and two historians. We started late in the 2003-2004 year in the second semester. We had meetings once a week in a classroom that was loaned from an English teacher. On the first half of the hour-long meeting, we discuss our business of service-learning activities. We usually had bake sales. Everything went from $.25 to $1. We had a couple of promotions on Club Day and the homecoming tailgate party in the student parking lot. The tailgate promotion had us display our anime stock pile and one of the historians dressed up as Chii from Chobits while her friend drew portraits of some folks. We even had an Anime Week where we show an anime in the library. We even got to hear some conventions and cosplay contests in town, even some at Atomic Comics. On the second half of the meeting, we watch anime. The last Anime Club at my old school did nothing but watch Dragon Ball Z. Mine had a variety of anime to watch. Lots of guys just brought their own and the rest of us had to vote on what to watch. At the end of the year, we had Anime Trivia Day. The first time I did it was a tough experence, but I got better the next time I played 'cause I watched more anime. After each question we got right, or prize is a treat. I had a small bite-sized Japanese orange-flavored chocolate bar, a bag of Japanese chocolate-covered peanuts, a Korean jawbreaker, and a stick of chocolate Pocky. I even have a newspaper article on the club with most of the signatures of the group, even some of the guys who started the whole thing. I wish I was back with the guys. |

This might be late but I still want to reply. Hmm, well I'm off to university in sept and I was browsing their clubs and they had an anime club. They would show 4 episodes of random animes and if you wanted to watch you would have to pay 3 dollars for the one showing or ten to contiue to watch every showing. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
