Ten years ago, the Holy Grail, a relic that grants its owner's wish at the cost of many lives, was destroyed. However, it was destroyed after it had been proven that a new Holy Grail could be created, under the right circumstances. And eight years ago, that is exactly what happened.

The site of the new Grail Wars is Tokyo, Japan, and the time is now. Once the seven masters of magic have assembled, the Grail Wars will recommence. But who might spoil the party? Perhaps heroes of the past Grail Wars, seeking another chance or the re-destruction of the Grail? Perhaps someone who isn't in the wars, but wants the Grail for themselves? Only time will tell...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rules:
-No spamming, auto-hitting, god-moding, or one-liners!
-Keep the dialogue clean! Swearing occasionally is acceptable, but nothing like the F-Bomb, and only in appropriate situations!
-Romance is fine, but keep it as clean as the dialogue! Kissing is fine. Anything that involves genitals is not!
-Servants MUST be existing historical figures! Folklore is okay, but nothing that is exclusively Anime- or Manga- related. Julius Caesar is fine, and so is that Saito guy from Rurouni Kenshin with the Gatotsu, since he was an actual historical figure, but Kenshin Himura is not!
-CREATE YOUR OWN SRVANTS!!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Masters have randomly selected Servants that do physical fighting for them. These Servants are selected before the Grail Wars start, and disappear as soon as the Grail Wars end. It is very difficult to kill a Servant, but the Master is another story altogether. Therefore, killing the Master is the quickest way to win.

While Servants are difficult to kill, they are not impossible. Servants that have lost their Masters and Masters that have lost their Servants can form contracts with each other for another chance at the Holy Grail. One Master can only have one Servant at a time, and vice versa.

It's a battle royale, with the last one standing reigning victorious.

Masters compete because they want something from the Holy Grail. Servants also want something from the Holy Grail.

Servants can prey on human souls to power up. Many Masters order their Servants to do just that, in order to bolster their power.

Being a Master is restricted to Mages. Someone with no magical potential whatsoever cannot become a Master.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Servants are divided into seven categories. No two Servants in the same Grail War may share a category.

-Saber - Straight-up swordplay. No strings attached. Already taken in Fate/Stay Night: King Arthur.

-Berserker - These may use axes or swords, but they depend on brute strength to crush the opponent. They are usually big and extremely hardy. Already taken: Hercules.

-Archer - This class is a misnomer. Archer-class characters have good eyesight and extremely good aim. Most use bows, or occasionally guns, but Archer-class Servants that use swords are not unheard of. It's often the first category of servant to be drawn. Already Taken: Lancelot/Guinevere (not sure which, so don't use either.) Also taken: Gilgamesh.

-Lancer - As Saber, but they use lances. (Duh.) Already taken: Lugh the Allcrafted.

-Assassin - As Archer, but instead of good eyesight and precision, Assassin-class Servants are good at sneaking up on opponents and finishing them off with one strike. Most of them are blindingly fast. Already Taken: some japanese assassin from literature.

-Rider - Most Servants fight on foot. Rider is the sole exception. Rider-class Servants have some sort of mount that they can summon at will. Aside from that, they may also fall into one of the other categories. The interesting thing about a mount is that it doesn't have to be alive. If the Servant used to ride around on a motorcycle or chariot, they can summon it, no problem. Already taken: Well, we don't know her name, but she's that one with the pegasus.

-Magus - These Servants are fellow mages that have magics of their own. They can sense other Servants in a wide radius, and they can attack from afar. Already taken: Circe.

Each Servant has a "Noble Phantasm" that they fight with. The Noble Phantasm may be one of three types:

-Anti-Personnel: This type targets one person or being. It has no use limit.

-Anti-Army: This type only lasts an instant, and must be recharged afterward, but possesses the power necessary to wipe out an army.

-Flexible: This type is weaker on average than the other two. To start with, it allows the use of an Anti-Personnel form. This form may be disabled for future recharging to enable an Anti-Army form.

PM me if you have any questions.

There are two things I can't stand in this world - people who are intolerant of other people's cultures, and the Dutch.
