hi everyone! the other day I was thinking about buying some dvd but i didn't get to buy anything cause i don't know if it is worth buying it or not...so guys i want your opinion... ummm...so, What anime dvds are worth buying?or rather what would be the best anime dvd would you buy? thank you so much!  ^_^v PEACE OUT! |

| Get the SE versions of whatever anime you can find. They maybe are worth a lot, but they got more stuff for you to look at. |

Whatever genre of Anime you like the best and anime that you'll watch over and over again and never get tired of it. I prefer anime with visually spectacular animation (they always look good on DVD) like Onegai Teacher and a good & interesting storyline to match with it.  |

What animes are worth buying? I'd say Peace Maker Kurogane! Full Metal Panic! Gilgamesh and there are just Waayyy! too many of them to mention. Oh yeah, but i can't let this one slide away...NaRuTo!!!! Everyone'll love it if they just got a chance to see it! Everyone I've met likes it or Loves it. So check it out everyone. -RoSe  |

Well, when I buy DVDs I usually go for the OVAs because they're the ones that are rarely aired on television. I've got Hayao Miyazaki's works (Mononoke Hime, Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi--my favorite), Blood: The Last Vampire, Akira, Vision of Escaflowne: A Girl in Gaea, hey, I just noticed I have lots of anime DVDs. Nevermind. The only DVDs I have that are from anime series are Wolf's Rain and Princess Tutu. If you're still uneasy, maybe you should ask the clerk to play the movie for a while... you know, to check out its animation and stuff. =3 Happy hunting! ^^  ��空����愛��人よ? hmm...SE are good.lots of things you could get!Full Metal Panic seems interesting. I only watched that on WOWOW once or twice but i never watched it straight because it was Japanese and i couldn't understand japanese...-_- Naruto...well it seems cool.Ninjas!i like ninjas... Mononoke Hime, Blood: The Last Vampire, Akira, Vision of Escaflowne: A Girl in Gaea - seems have good and very interesting stories..i'll check this out. i'll check out the reviews too!^_^ you're right i probably wanted a show that i would have watched about 24/7 a day!^_^ here are some animé that's in my list: Aquarian Age - i don't know much about this anime..but i think it's about mythology and the stars. it has 3 volumes Comic Party - it only has 4 vol. I have the manga of this series and it's average funny...i think the whole 4 vol. are worth $63.99 in Best Buy...(without taxes -_-) Pretear - has 4 vol...drama and shoujo... Azumaga Daioh - this...this has 6 volumes...but they say this is funny..and THEY look funny.^_^ Rayearth - A store is selling the 1st TV season of Rayearth for $29.99 (without tax -_-)...includes 6 dvds Full Metal Panic - 7 vol...i saw a deal in some store and the whole volume is less than a $100.i think it was probably $57.99 (without tax -_-) Noir - this dvd is hard to find...-_-...it has also 7 volumes...which i couldn't find...-_- Chrono Crusade - excorcist and demons...it has 7 volumes... Spiral - i don't know anything about this animé i probably just liked their song.it has 6 volumes... i guess i was buying dvds with deals as well... which one do you think is worth buying and has a good deal? (let say 1 dvd is worth $19.99 without tax) hey, you can still suggest anything you want. I want to know the good deals out there! lol rujz I haven't watched any of the anime u listed, yet. Anyways I forgot to add, maybe you should try renting the anime first and see how it is before buying it. |

Hellsing gets my vote, as does GITS and Lain. Also, as you probably know anime is WAY more expensive than it should be. You probably have a place you get it for cheaper, but if you don't, i'll suggest going to discountanimedvd.com. I like it. :) |

Studio Gilbhi box collection is great(two set, about 7 or 9 dvd, I forgot) other from that I thinks for dvd you should buy only for serials anime('cause it contain many episodes at one dvd) or specials like OVA or Movie. My recommended: GITS(all of them!) Noir(good stories) Lain(one of the most strange and complex I ever watch) Escaflowne Series(good stories) Love Hina(romantic comedy) Magister Magi Negi(romantic comedy, but it's not complete yet) Evangelion Genesis Akira(movie) Memories(movie) ... and many more but that are few from my list that i recommended...hehe.

I have one big series of collection. My bookshelf it self is filled with anime dvd and I think if I total it, it will come up to like $40000. From expert like me I recommend: My recommendations: Ai Yori Aoshi Akira (movie) Beck Chobits Chrono Crusade El Hazard Evangelion Genesis Full metal Alchemist Full metal Panic Get Backers Ghost in Shell: Innocense Ghost in Shell: Stand alone complex GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka) Love Hina Mahoromatic Midori no Hibi Naruto Noir Read or Die Slayers These animes were the only animes that I thought that it was worth buying it after spending $4000... Most of these can be bought spending less then $100 in imports so have fun! try www.discountanimedvd.com for finding them. bye bye

Well since u said the total would b 40k bucks i think ur wrong bc some of the animes are old and prices do go down unless their like special or first editions. or unopened? well i have a much long list of anime dvd's but i wont list them o and only a few of them i burned it from the net bc i couldnt find any where i lived and i hate doing international ordering etc.. but I wont sell animes on ebay so dont worry.. I hate ebayers theyre soo greedy and ripp offers etc..  |

I finally bought the 1st season of Rayearth and i'm waiting for the 2nd season to come out this August. I also bought NOIR...and it was cool! i bought half of the volumes of Chrno Crusade...it's a bit dark though...I'll probably buy Full Metal Panic if ever I saw the thin pack complete selection in the store I'm buying. oh and ryn, since you mentioned Kimi Ga Nozumo Eien i'm a bit intrigued with this show so it goes up into my list. and lots of show where added to my wish list! ^_^ Pretear, Aquarian Age, Spiral are put on hold until i have bought all my priority animés ^_^. right now, my priority animés are Read or Die and Azumanga Daioh. anyway, thank you for everyone who posted! i really appreciated it ^_^v PEACE OUT! |
