I just got Tales of The Abyss recently.(i know im a little late on that >.>) I've progressed to where the Chesodonia and Rugnica Plains region has fallen ito the Qliphoth. I don't have any trouble with the guys but I was wondering a few things. Guy is supposed to specialize in katana-like swords right? His first weapon was "blade" and was a katana. When do you get other weapons like that? I currently have the Wassier Rapier on him. Do you get those kinds after the Wassier?

None of the swords ever get that "simple" again, with their looks and all. As you progress in the game the designs of weapons get more elaborate, so you don't have the same feel as a simple Katana for Guy or a Simple Sword for Luke. You will, however, come across Character-Sepcific weapons later in the game, and a sword that I believe looks more katana-like -- And that's his Catalyst Weapon. I personally haven't aquired all of the weapons in the game that you can, and I haven't done the Nebilim Sidequest that I was waiting for my second playthrough to do ( Which I am now on, At the Abandoned Factory ) which is the quest where you need all those Catalyst weapons. ALSO, Since you seem to like Guy ( and I guess control him? ) make sure his C.Core has some points in agility. It'll make him even faster then he already is and make him straight beast -- and be sure it also adds more to his attack, to make him more hard-hitting like Luke. I personally just use Luke, and made him elite -- Only time I controlled Guy was a point in the game I was forced to make two teams and use Guy. |

I haven't really played it much...so I couldn't help you there. Plus I only played with Jade, and spammed Thunder Blade/Indignation.  |

How do I get his catalyst weapon? And yes I do control Guy. But I noticed that the catalyst weapon for luke was weaken then the wooden sword (oh joy!) Also I dont think I'm that far into the game yet. My highest is luke at 36 (only because everyone left yulia cirty and he got boosted up) Then comes Guy only about 3000 EXP apart. But I give Guy the better weapons. I just got through the Marsh with that Behemoth monster.

Lost Celesti - After retrieving the Flightstone, go to Keterburg and speak to Nephry. Afterwards, go to Grand Chokmah and speak to Peony to get the weapon. That's his I do believe ~ |

I already saved the Albiore 1 and I'm past the rugnica plains falling along with chesedonia. is it too late?

No -- Sorry to spoil, but you're going to lose the ability of flight soon with the Albiore, but then you get the flightstone that makes it fly back after a shortwhile -- Then you can go do that thing. However, I'm PRETTY SURE, not certain, you can get all the weapons at anytime during the game as long as you've beaten that beast in the mountains and gotten Luke's Catalyst Weapon. |

The Albiore already did lose it's flight programming. I think I'm in Belkend right now...just met with Van and Legretta. I'm not sure I haven't played in two days cause i couldn't >.> my Dad thinks its an "obsession". oh well. ill play later and try to get his catalyst. And how far am i through? percentage wise

Hmmm, I'd say you're about 65% or so through the game. Depending on your playtime and what you do aside from the main story, you may have another 10-20 hours left of Gameplay. 10 or so if you speed through everything, 15 if you are taking a normal pace and the one you are meant to, 20-25 if you do sidequests and all that other stuff. I suggest getting alot of the costumes, by the way. Check Gamefaqs for some awesome FAQ's and Walkthroughs. |

I don't really like any of Guy's other costumes. So I'll stick with the one he has now. As for Luke I'll probably get that read one by going to where there are weak monstes like the Fubras River and fight them there seeing as it only takes a number of battles on hard to get

LOL. I see about the costumes, I suggest the Black one for Guy and the black one for Jade, since they have more resistances. |

I i don't like them though D: they look too...UGH! Lol yes I care about fanshion /strutsdownrunway ROFL JK but yeah im not sure if i am or not. i just want to play my 1st playthrough for fun and worry about all the little details for my 2nd

I would be sure to get the final battle costumes on your first playthrough, because Guy's looks awesome -- Tear's too. I would get Berserker ( The Red one ) as it's my favorite, and get the "Dashing Gent" title for Guy as well. There are also the Spa Titles that are easy to get ~ Just check out Gamefaqs, it'll help ALOT. |

Shuy~ Can;t you just tell me how to get them? Yes im like mei im lazy. sometimes not a lot though. and thr FAQ i checked was too complicatedit had EVERY SINGLE side quest and ctrl+f didnt help at all ._.
