Maaya Sakamoto + FFXIII

I was just surfing ANN when I saw that Maaya Sakamoto is doing the voice of Lighting (main character of FFXIII). Too bad the game is usually so big that they only release it with 1 language. |

I mean America will get it with English, and Japan will get it with Japanese, but since the game will probably be pretty large they might not have the option to choose language (spoken). The only reason I think that might be the case is that square has to make the game compatible to 2 forms of storage: HD DVD (360) and Blu-ray (PS3). Usually companies try to make versions similar/the same or switch it up for a console. |

lol, the release of this game sure is taking a while. And ya, Lightning is FF hotness.

| it is taking so long because square wants to do a double release and Versus got behind XIII supposedly and they are all ready working on FFXIV. It's hard to say that they are worried about when it is released just quality. |

Maaya as Lightning? Wow -- The American VA better not suck, seeing as how Maaya is jsut EPIC, and I can't wait to hear her Lightning. Now as for the whole release thing, the problem is the whole Versus XIII development was halted because they did want to work on FFIV ( Huge Mistake, and making another numbered game an Online-Game makes me upset for a whole nother arguement for another topic ) which I believe is pretty unfair to the already rather impressive Versus fanbase -- including myself. If they do now plan to do the release at the same time for XIII and for Versus XIII, you can expect it to be next winter ( December 2010 ) or right around then ( Maybe same time that XII came out, October ) because Versus still has ALOT to be done from what we're hearing. Anyway, back to the topic, Maaya voicing Lightning just made XIII worth my time -- as personally, I'm only looking foward to Versus XII. And also, personally, I think XIII will only do well because it's on the next generation consoles. I fear it won't be that great a game. |

Personally I think XIII Versus might be better than XIII... when they finish it. @shuy- I don't have a problem with online FF... as long as it isn't anything like XI. Finally XIII with or without Versus should be out by December this year in Japan, and March in the US... otherwise square failed. |

I fully agree Versus will be the better game. I've thought that ever since the first few scans and trailers came out for both games, and Versus just seems like it will have a better story and be a true final fantasy title. |

What a numbered FF needs is something memorable.... XIII- nothing has been indicated unless you count Shiva doubling as a bike? Versus- Main character is sick, "bullets can't hurt me, because I have these swords". The original trailers of both Versus owned because: 1. Fight scene kicked ass. 2. Character kicked ass. 3. Even though all theatrical it left everyone wanting it. If Microsoft was smart they would have invested in trying to get this game. |
