Anyone watched the anime Karas?

Well i just watched it right now and it looked pretty cool in the beginning and then i got confused in the story with who's who and what not. In the end it seemed like it was a 1 episode anime almost can someone tell me if it continues or not?  |

OH yeah, The show seems to be greta but I was more confused of what was going on more than anything, plus the fansub wasnt good quailty, Anime-Kraze will be using the R1 DVD.. so hopefull then I can see how great the animation really was.

I heard that there will be total of 6 OVAs (like "FLCL" and "Iriya Summer of UFO") I thought the graphics were excellent especially the CGs (e.g. armor of Karas). Yeah but I also was confused when I watched it. I mean there are too many things that havent yet been explained. So I'm looking forward to watch the following episodes. |

Thought it sucked My Excerpt from animesuki: "I just watched the first episode: Arabsubbers- Did a great job of getting it out there fast. Qaulity wise- Not bad Had a few typos and spelling mistakes but overall did an ok job. Karas Action- Decent choegoraphy. However. most of what I saw was a showcase of special BLING BLING moves... I'm not drawn in by an anime that overly uses explosives, brandishes japanese characters, and abuses slow down techs as much as the matrix. In addition, a lot of it is just flashy, half the time I don't even understand wtf was going on... Did he slash? Did he deflect? Or did the animators just cut in 30 frames of random explosions to confuse us? Karas Story- terrible, I'll give it 3 more episodes. But so far i find the plot non-sensical. So far all i see are reminents of a cliche plot. The trailer had me tasting possibilites of a more original plot, especially by the creative animation. But the directing hasn't done quite a good enough job in 1) maintaing any drama at all 2) Sparking intrest for the next episode (no clif-hangers) 3) Exposing character personalites (With the exception of the gun-slinger, we've seen some of his personality). Maybe I'm being over-critical. But I'm pretty dissapointed with the plot overall, The animation/sound were great and I enjoyed the action (as much as I can stomach before epilepsy kicks in), but the plot still remains... very obscure. And and a GOOD 1st episode has a grabber to maintain the audience. I have absolutely no motivation to watch episode 2 after watching 1. I'll give it 3 more episodes..." |
