hmmm to me they had more ship battles in seed and very cute girls!!! and 00 had cooler gundams that werent so overpowered as freedom but the use of setsunas trans am made him godly. come on a giant beam sword?? how does that make sense? are GN drives even possible? capturing the power of the sun? seed makes more sense seed gundams are powered by nuclear reactors. back on the subject i think 00 characters die much more often then seed so its hard to like a certain person. I love stellar and nena trinity and maybe anew  |

@kerorogunsou: well, it doesn't have to make sense as long as it's enjoyable. For example, Turn A & G Gundam doesn't make sense at all (magical nanomachines and hokuto no ken?) but they're much better than SEED and 00. But true, that Trans-am giant beam sabre was quite absurd for a 'supposedly logical' show. CMIIW but 00's technology doesn't support the uses of advanced beam weaponry, does it? SEED is overall good and thanks to it, the gundam franchise was revived and achieved more than we can imagine. However, it still failed as a remake of 0079. Not to mention that destiny ruined the image of SEED 00 brought back the realistic war situation that we had long forgotten and intense action scenes that SEED doesn't have, but the overall plot is extremely boring -_-;; I don't know but 00 2nd season just lacks the energy for a sequel although it's a good show if we want to compare the first season only, I must say it's a tie. 00 with its intense action and SEED with its drama and whatnots but if we are to take the 2nd season into account, 00 wins hands down. Destiny IS that bad, it brought the SEED series into chaos, period

The girls in SEED were cuter? The girls in 00 had a few more mature ones though. Depends on preference. ^.~ 00 killed off more people than I expected. Plus, it had more plot twists. It was like a new weapon or attack every episode. SEED, I don't believe killed off some of the main people, but had more loved characters. I would say its about a tie between them as well for me.   |

I'm tempted to say 00 just because it was prettier and better animated in general, but plot-wise, I have to say that I seriously didn't like it. Especially that second season. I actually started dreading what would happen in the next episode. I loved the setting and the politics going around, but it seriously needed something more. Not to mention... not enough people died during S2's last episode. Grr. Saw Seed and Seed Destiny first, and I'm pretty sure that I'm the only person who will ever say that they liked Seed Destiny. I liked the characters better than the ones in 00... Celestial Being was rather boring. Secret society... not allowed to go off in public; no wonder they didn't have many new people. I'm not interested in new Gundam technology or what; I like politics and human relationships. Not enough romance in 00, and somehow I disliked all the girls. I hated Marina, Nena, and Wang Liu Mei (I laughed when the latter two died, haha), didn't care for Anew, though I liked Marie even though she completely deserved more scenes. I got tired of Louis's issues after the first few episodes of S2. I liked her so much better 00, but she still couldn't compare to my favorite girls in Seed and Seed Destiny. Nobody in 00 has yet to knock Athrun out of my favorite character ranking. Yes, I did like him and his harem. |

For me Gundam Seed was the best from all the gundam's series. I like the way the characters interacting and their dilemma in handling their own conflict. Each of the character have their own conflict i.e between Murrue and Natarle in their battle between Archangel and Dominion,kira and Athrun etc. Their emotion are far more better shown than in Gundam 00. The movement and the battle are perfect; the sound effect fit with the scene; even the OP & ED songs are perfect; the mecha designation are great and not to forget their uniform design especially Zaft uniform, he, he... |

00 for certain. In terms of everything (story, plot, mecha designing, character development and balancing)00 would be the better of teh two, as it presented a plot that was unique in Gundam standards and had a cast that was entirely fleshed out well in that they all had some significance as compared to the hordes of characters introduced in Gundam SEED/Destiny and of which, only a few actually got any significance. In terms of mech and character design, the mechs of 00 are more unique, more aesthetically sound, and more enjoyable as compared to the redundancies of SEED's designing. Also, the characters in 00 look much more pleasing as compared to SEED's, as these character designs didn't beg for attention in the manner SEED did. But to further mention, there are much better Gundam works than either of these. Turn-A, G, and X all are great titles, about some of the best in the Gundam saga. And heck, there are mech series that are much better than the whole Gundam saga combined! Just look at Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and GaoGaiGar and you'll see what I mean.
I am an otaku. Cause I like anime a lot. Especially fiction, more specifically mecha. 'Watches hordes of Zakus blowing up' Hi to you all!! :3

Maa...00 is better than gundam seed though.. Well,it clearly shows what we are now..the reality of war that never stops 00 also hav unique designs(forget the logical thinking about the gn-drive thing)..even they put less one-eyed mech than before(zaku,dom,and other that i dont wanna know).. The girls in 00 also cute..rather than seed. I like ptolemaios,but unfortunately archangel wins...it have cooler design.. 00 storyline is the best,rather than conflicts of that seed n seed destiny(kirai,kirai,kirai,dai kirai!!)Seed destiny ruins it all...with stellar n lacus copycat..what nonsense laaaa  |

well, since that much (which is pretty big) is mentioned already in so many different point of views, and all the good and bad points mentioned already,.. what more can I say? besides the fact that I can state that I like both Gundam series, and prefer both season 1 of both series?

Gundam 00 would've been better if the first season had more episodes. It felt like they were trying to shove the personalites of the characters on you so they could get to the character developement faster. Which was better than SEED/Destiny, atleast. Seriously, Strike Freedom is completely over-rated. There were nice political tones in the first season of 00, where in SEED/Destiny it just seemed like "OMG SPACE COLONIES SCANDINAVIA ORB!!!" over and over again. 00 showed better cause and effects of war. Although in the Second season deteriorated into pretty boys angsting and flashy mecha scenes pretty fast. I hated the way they set it up so that most characters directed their hate unto either Ali or Ribbons. The big finale wasn't very satisfying. I know they had to leave things open for a movie, but that was absurd. Loved the ending of the first season though. It forced you into despair and than gave you a glimmer of hope. And Marina. I hated Marina. Boring character is boring. When she started to sing, I started to cry. Couldn't they have come up with something else? It's Basically Lacus all over again. And Anew, who was only created to die and make Lyle angst. No one else really cared for her. It was not like when Neil died. There should've been more deaths. I mean, what the heck happened with Tieria? It went from Lockon Angst/Ribbons Hating to "VEDA!!!!" way too fast. Either give him an epic death (I would've been happy if he had died at the end of season one), or a new friend. There'd better be a girlfriend or something waiting for him in the movie. Not just lame hibernation inside Veda. Ditto on Setsuna's love life. They imply the possibility of a relationship with Marina through out the series (which would've been weird if it worked out anyways, as he was 16 when they met and she was 24), throw Feldt at you at the last moment, and in the end... Also, what was the point of the 3,904,824,302,480,932,480,932,432 flash backs of Sumeragi and Kati if they didn't even bother fixing their relationship? I know I just attacked 00 alot. But 00 is still better. I just don't feeling like displaying the mess that is SEED/Destiny right now. Heck, I don't think there's enough text in the world to point out the problems of SEED/Destiny. And my favourite AU Gundam series shall always be Turn A. |

both of them has conflicts... literally Seed is a decent one, but isnt that Seed Destiny ruined it all [FUKUDA!! YOU KIRA FAN DIRECTOR!!] 00 is good, the problem was somehow the development of the characters but wait isnt that the Gundam 00 is known that all characters as the possibility to die right?, think about the loss of the Gundam Meisters, Kataron,.... civilians.. but we cant blame them though these two series are directed mt different people but i prefer gundam 00 bceasue of one thing.... uniqueness and new and bold concept of gundam  --> |

Definitly Gundam Seed even though I loved gundam 00. Seed was the first gundam anime I had ever seen so it was extreamly enjoyable as I learned about gundams. The characters were pretty darn awesome also; very detailed. Lots of anoying ones but at least lots of awesome ones to balance. ;) What else... Gundam Seed made me cry a couple of times, as Gundam 00 did not at all. xD The plot was very nice. Just a couple of less interesting episodes but the rest was sweet. I think Seed Destiny really threw off alot of people. I personally liked it but not as much as season 1. Now for Gundam 00... Well because I already knew about gundams, it didn't suprise me. Although the gundams in 00 were a little bit cooler then in Seed, probably because they came up with new ones all the time. In Seed, the gundams were cool but always the same ones. The characters in Gundam 00 were not as bright and cheerful as in Seed so it gave me a "dark" impression, which was already there since the whole show is pretty much about fighting and wars. The plot was nice. Let's just say I watched it for the characters, gundams and fighting scenes without expeting alot from the plot but I got a bit more then I expected. :) Gundam 00 season 2 really dragged on for me. I usually watched the episodes right when it came out but season 2 I actually waited till it was done. I think overall both animes are incredibly awesome but if I had to choose which one I could re-watch, I'd say Gundam Seed.  |

KErploweeeee~~~ I love both of them!!!! Gundam Seed was the first gundam series that I watched. Gundam 00 was so awesome and cool!!! I love Neil Dylandy!!! GSD sucked!!! I was jumping for joy when Meer died!!! I hate Shinn. He sucks!!!

well i think i like both even though at first i dun really like gandam 00 when i first watch it it feels as if i'm watching old gundam like gundam wing the art is so .... this could be due to the fact that the first gundam series i have watched was gundam seed and rite after i finished GSD i wanted something more and expected gundam 00 to be something like GS and GSD so it kinda disappointed me and i stopped watching but my cousin and my gundam crazy friends said that it was good so i decided to give it a chance it's actually kinda good the plot and they sort of plan before their battles unlike GS and GSD they seem to just pop in and destory everything just to stop the war |

I like macross frontier better, but on the subject i found the seed and destiny enjoyable. BUt OO left me breathless with the complex story and action. I LOVED IT!  |
