Well... sorta wanted to make a list of clone characters... to explain what i mean: sometimes, there appears two characters in diffirent anime(or visual novels) that look too alike and are similar in several parts. Please write those aren't mentioned yet. The clones should be from DIFFERENT anime, as twins aren't exactly what i mean... and don't compare Futakoi and Futakoi Alternative please, Tenshi and Magical Girl Pretty Sammy, Negima and Negima's remake, etc... well, where the characters are the same but are in different setting. As well, please don't mention parodies. Right now i can remember: 1)Yumizuka Satsuki/Uchida (Tsukihime/Minami-ke) - well... they look similar and their characters are somewhat similar: unlucky plain cute girl :) What i mean here is non-vampire Satsuki. 2)Tohno Shiki - Kokuto (Tsukihime/Kara no Kyoukai) - no comment here, anyone who knows those two should know. 3)Kotomine Kirei - Araya Souen (FSN/Kara no Kyoukai) - Maybe it's just me and i'm affected by the seiyu, but they're too similar. 4)Gau Ban - Son Gohan Teen(Shadow Skill/Dragonball Z) - they don't look similar, but the general idea is the same - currently weak, but has amazing potential. Also, anyone who saw Gohan vs Cell and Gau vs Len battles would understand what i mean: the badass walking :) 5)Claire - Saber (Claymore/FSN) - ... I guess that's just me :) 6)Tsukasa - Ryou (Lucky Star/Clannad) - The general idea's too similar. However, don't compare Kyou and Kagami, their only similarity is - tsundere. 7)Matsuri - Miyako (Sola/Ef) - Am i wrong? :) 8)Kana - Kana (Otoboku/Canvas 2) - Well... even the names are the same... it's not the same character, but i can't find much differences... 9)Ayasaki Hayate - Hiiragi Kappei (Hayate no Gotoku/Clannad(game)) - Maybe it's the seiyu, lack of money and girlish appearance, but i think they're similar. 10)Dark Schneider - Kyo (Bastard!/Samurai Deeper Kyo) - Well... mostly Kyo's original body. Can't comment much. Also, there's quite a lot of characters, similar to Saito from Zero no Tsukaima, as well as 'boku' type main characters, but they don't actually stand out, as well as it's just a type of character, not clones. |

@Mato no.6, it's Kagami, not Tsukasa the most obvious one is Kamigishi Akari (To Heart) - Hiiragi Tsukasa (Lucky Star) it's even lampshaded in the show (Lucky Star) Anime Tenchou --- Domon Kasshu yeah, pretty much a homage to Domon, including the seiyuu Cross gender clone anyone? Kallen Stadfeldt (rowdy mode) --- Domon Kasshu Hairstyle, attitude, badassery, and nuclear powered Gurren Finger? and if you want to include massive cloning, Char Aznable is your man

@H: You're not mistaking Ryou and Kyou? I can't find any similarities between Ryou and Kagami... As for Toheart-lucky star... yeah, that was stated in the anime, but isn't it more of a parody? Moreover, if i'm correct - they don't look too alike. Don't know the rest, but Char... isn't it more of a case of the same character, i mentioned earlier? Oh... i just thought of one more: Misha - Luca (Ar Tonelico/Ar Tonelico 2)... although their personalities are different... or actually, outside personalities are similar, but hidden ones are different. |

@mato: ouch, my bad, I mistook Kyou with Ryou, and didn't see the parody part ^^;; Char, same character? I assume you're talking about Quattro and Casval? errr, no. It's more like Zechs Merquise, Rau Le Creuset, Mr. Bushido, etc. I mean, masked antagonists with prominent roles and characteristics (lolicon, blonde, ace pilot, loves red, idealist, egoist, cunning, experienced, etc.) Come to think of it, Neo from GSD and Full Frontal from Gundam Unicorn has almost exactly the same appearance and storyline Neo is the revived Mu, Full Frontal is the real Char Aznable

hmmm... clones in anime is really hard for me to find maybe i didn't watch enough animes to find clones in them just found a few of my own and i think they are not the same in personality, they're just the same by looks Minami Ekky from Airgear and Kamijyo Touma from To Aru Majutsu no Index they sure have the same hairstyle and looks, especially the hair another is Hiraga Saito from Zero no Tsukaima and Karasuma Yoichi from Asu no Yoichi their looks are nearly the same and maybe their personalities (the fact that they surrounded by cute girls...XDD) Suzaku from Code Geass also pretty much have the same looks as Syaoran from Tsubasa their hair seems to look alike and maybe this is because they are drawn by the same person; CLAMP thats all i can think of    |

They're all the same because they're archetypes of anime. Eg the magical girl, the old wise man, the irritating little sibling, etc etc.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

Archetypes, huh... i'm not sure about that. Well yeah, magical girls aren't rare, but they're not like they're clones. I was watching Sister Princess Repure just now. Twelve archetype female characters... however, after thinking for a bit - i can't find even one clone to any of them. Old wise man... when was the last time i saw one... Irritating little sibling... well, can't argue much around here, although they're all differently irritating. |

@H it never came to me that char was a lolicon nor was his clones. you may add that they have a sixth sense when it comes to their arch rival. if you ask me Gundam and Gundam seed has so many things in common. Its like a spin off remake. how about ichigo morino - onegai teacher, setsuna KiyÅra - school days, and Junior - R.O.D. (though a He). has droopy eyes, low whispering voice and always has a hidden agenda and more often has a blank expression. Junior is a bit nosy also. pair comparison. Ichigo - Junior, same hair style. Ichigo - setsuna, likes match making, loli. I could say Ichigo was the original that's just because I saw Onegai Teacher first. |

Umm... i doubt about Shana-louise, as they're not really similar... just tsundere, that doesn't actually make them similar. As for taiga, i'm not sure who it is... and as i automatically think of Fujimura Taiga, i can't find any resemblance :D At least state the anime or the full name. |

oh, i thought nobody doesn't know about about toradora by now. I was talking about Aisaka Taiga. I lumped shana and louise together because of the traits actually: same tsundere, same seiyuu, same artist, same flatness :P |

I have always felt that Shinobu Maehara, Nodoka Miyazaki and Haruna Sairenji looked alike, or at least shared some similar traits, in terms of personality, hairstyle, etc. I recently discovered that Kagame from Asu no Yoichi may fit the above group of characters too.  |
