apakah pendapat anda tentang ini?adakah PBSMI akan dimansuhkan atau tidak.secara amnya,PBSMI tidak perlu dimansuhkan kerana penggunaan sains dan matematik dlm bhsa inggeris meningkat...apa pendapat anda? what yours respond?PBSMI should be banded or not.aroding to me,PBSMI should not banded because using scince and maths are increacis...what about your respond? PBSMI:pengajaran dan pembelajaran sains dan matematik dalam bahasa inggeris   |

Aku fikir ianya mesti dimansuhkan. PBSMI itu memang membazir. Dahlah menyusahkan pulak tu lagi buat eksperimen ke atas pelajar. Lagipun rata-ratanya lebih ramai guru fasih mengajar sains dalam Bahasa Melayu. Lagipun bahasa itu cuma medium untuk mengajar.  |

Idk if this is appropriate tho . . . Because this site doesn't come from Malaysia and I suppose philosophical thread are meant to be in English. Hmm. Maybe this could be discussed within The Malaysian Thread? Anyhow my opinion is that, it shouldn't be fully banned, or fully continued. Because most of our teachers in Malaysia comes from the batch of students that aren't really taught using English terms and whatnot. What do they expect if the teachers have difficulties USING English, and that should 'prepare' the students for better Scientific/ Mathematical English knowledge? I went to a sub-urban school and even the teachers have certain difficulties explaining what this and that terms for chemical names. I don't say all of em. English is important; yes. But THIS IS WHY we have English classes throughout our schooling days! Imagine 11 years of studying English everyday at school; and students can't yet manage to speak or apply English to other subjects; THROUGHOUT their schooling days. The English classes itself has to be proven FULLY effective for the sub-urban students; AND THEN government can think of having other subjects in English.  |

So, what I gathered, the teachers can't speak well in english, that they have trouble getting their point across. When the teachers sentences makes little sense, it makes even lesser sense to the students who hears them, and most of them even resign themselves from trying to understand and proceed to make conclusions like "school is garbage" and "to hell with studying". I think we need to integrate the english language in a different manner than forcing it on important subjects in school. The system is wrong, students that are supposed to be good at math and science failed because they cannot understand english? obviously wrong.
