Well... as noone wrote about it, maybe noone noticed, but... it's stated in the wikipedia that higurashi rei's first episode will appear at 25th. Actually i think they talk about official release or subs, as the episode's been out since 13th or so. Well, if i'm correct it covers one of the rei chapters, i think it was sound only one, as i heard most of the phrases before. Finnally it leaves original higurashi and gets into something like daybreak section - the murders and tatari are no longer the main plot. Soul Brothers :) Well, as Nekogoroshi-hen's different from the rest parts, Rei part is different from Nekogoroshi-hen. It may be a spoiler, but i just loved their enchancment to Chie-Ciel reference(Black Keys) :) |

Hugurashi rei has five OVA: Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei Director Toshifumi Kawase Studio Flag of Japan Studio Deen Episodes 5 Released February 25, 2009 – August 2009 from wikipedia you are right, the story of the Higurashi Rei is completely different from the 1st and 2nd Season of this anime... in my theory these arc will be part of the Rei Saikoroshi-hen (賽殺ã—ç·¨, Dice Killing Chapter?) Saikoroshi-hen is an epilogue of Matsuribayashi-hen which takes place two months after the events of it in August 1983. Rika is run over by a truck and wakes up in a totally different world, where none of the tragic events of the main series ever happened: Keiichi is not in Hinamizawa, Rena's parents did not divorce, the dam project was resolved smoothly, and neither Satoko nor Rika's parents died. However the club never formed, meaning Rika has no friends, HanyÅ« is absent, Rika isn't revered as the reincarnation of Oyashiro and the village will soon sink underwater. Rika has to choose between staying in that world or committing a certain grave sin that will enable her to leave that sinless world. Batsukoishi-hen (ç½°æ‹ã—ç·¨, Penalty Loving Chapter?) A slapstick dream story in which Keiichi and the Soul Brothers fight against the girls by means of the club punishment games. This chapter was originally an epilogue titled Otsukaresama-kai which came with Meakashi-hen, but it was deemed too irrelevant and silly and was removed from subsequent chapters.[citation needed] Hirukowashi-hen (昼壊ã—ç·¨, Daybreak Chapter?) Hirukowashi-hen is based on Higurashi Daybreak. The main characters are Keiichi Maebara and Rika Furude, and this story is set in a parallel world. One day, Rena accidentally swallows something in her mouth during her usual treasure hunting. According to Rika, the seal of the sacred "Fuwarazu Magatama" pairs were broken and Rena must have accidentally swallowed one of them. Well.. as i said, despite it says Febrary 25, it was already out at Febrary 13. As for the arcs, first episodes fits neither of them... well, probably fits Batsukoishi-hen, but the description is quite different from the plot. |

Cool, totally forgot all about this until recently, thanks for reminding me. ^_^ The Saikoroshi Hen sounds really interesting. =D And it's 3 parts! Have to make sure I don't forget about it again. :3 |

@Battousai: Don't worry, you'll get to enjoy Hanyu's Nipaa in rei :D However, why's everyone still saying 25, 25... i told ya it's long out, dunno why. But i've seen the first episode already. |

From what I've seen on ANN those dates are for DVD releases in Japan. No one's looking for the air date apparently...I haven't seen one either, though. *Edit* Thank you Youtube. That was hilarious...too bad I can't understand most of it. If you are a fansubber, and reading this, please sub it. Well... i could sub it, but that would turn out rather crappy. And there's no real reason anymore, as the decent subs are coming in a few days :) |
