Im not actually sure if this should be put on Programming or Games. So If I made a mistake kindly tell me so I can make the changes. Anyways I was planning on installing CFW 5.00 M33-2 on my PSP but I'm not sure of the requirements. The one I'm not sure of is the current CFW in the PSP.I heard from one of my friends I can install the 5.00 M33-2 directly to my PSP if I had a 3.52 M33-2 or higher system currently on my PSP.And on then Kenji(The other dude here on Gendou) told me yesterday at school I had to have a 4.01 M33 or higher to install it. I'm kinda confused now and I need some help. Thanks in advance. |

*As noted by Hako on another forum Requeriments and Install : - Installation requires a PSP with 3.52 M33-3 or higher [fat PSP], or 3.60 m33 or higher [Slim PSP] Others and Offical sony firmwares shouldn't try it. - USB cable. - Battery 78% loaded, - Extract the file you have downloaded anywhere on your computer. - Connect your PSP to your computer using the USB cable. - Copy the "UPDATE" folder into /PSP/GAME - Exit USB Mode and go to your XMB - After you run the "PSP Update version 5.00" - the screen turns black. Follow the on screen instructions, these instructions will take you to the Official Sony Update screen. press X for start..Press ">" button to continue..press "Accept" .. press ">" .. and press the "X" button Start update.. please wait..when update completed press the "X" button to restart automaticly.. done.. - Then you can erase "UPDATE" folder, they won’t be any longer necessary Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

just get a pandora battery with jig stick its much easier and its cheaper now. o and beware of the TA 88v3 motherboards they are unhackable |

Pandora Batteries are usually used for modding original firmwares to CFWs, downgrading (updating) or unbricking a PSP. You don't need the pandora battery when you are updating your cfw from 3.52 M33-3 [fat PSP] or 3.60 m33 [Slim PSP]. It's too much of a hassle and you just need the updater. If I remember correctly, 3.71 m33 is the most "stable" cfw. So if you do get one, use that cfw. Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |
