Cant find any DJ Max threads so i am starting one here! =D The latest project from Pentavision, it is a batch of games consisting of: - DJ Max Portable Emotional Sense: Clazziquai Edition (PSP) - DJ Max Portable Emotional Sense: Black Square (PSP) - DJ Max Emotional Sense: Technika (Arcade) Other new releases are: - DJ Max Fever (PSP) - DJ Max Trilogy (PC) For me I have preordered Black Square Quattra Edition on play-asia (damm their delay). Anyone else getting/got any one of those games above?

finally a DJ Max thread xD I think Fever was renamed into "Final fever" in the latest trailer (and it will have some of the features found in Black Square due to the delay) Anyways, Technika looked kind of fun, but it would be impossible to play one until next year if I'm lucky enough.. I have Clazziquai Edition, I am bit of a beginner in DJ Max (even if I do own Portable 2), so I guess I could still train so that I could be skillful enough of the songs Black Square has to offer xD I wanna get Black Square~ I wanna try out First Kiss 4b MX xD I haven't pre-ordered though.. I still don't have money to but one xP

What? Black Square is out, and Trilogy is starting to ship from 29th december from play asia i guess. And theres a few arcades selected for Technika location tests. The only thing that is not released yet is Fever. Sigh, a few more days to receiving my set. Damm you play asia for delaying my order. If you cannot completely combo the whole song, try harder ones. =P Or you can always play club tour to unlock those auto effectors(helps you press a note if you miss it, maximum 5 notes).

Oh sorry, I never actually checked the release date xP, anyways I think my problem is the long note.. I tried it with Auto+3 but no luck.. >_< (I checked and it's the sort of drum part before the second chorus) Anyways speaking of club tour, I can't finish Club revenge since I fail at 6B, then I can't go further in the Club RockOn since I fail at DJ Sue with 4b FX of I Want You in HD >_< I hate FX keys lolx [edit] Scratch that, I seem to be Full Comboing First Kiss now xD (btw what is the highest combo possible for this anyways xD) my real problem is still4b FX tho.. still need practice there

Good job on Full Comboing first kiss! Haha, the L and R keys are really a pain when i started out, since my index fingers are always so far away from them. My trick is to not to hesitate and press them when they appear. The really hard part is to press the notes thats on the fx note, for that you will have to keep your focus. But most of the time it depends mostly on your playing style. For me, i kept on playing harder songs, and search the web(youtube most of the time) for videos of people playing them, so i can memorize when the notes comes down. Just dont lose hope! A lot of people have DJ Max solely on their PSPs. It is a really difficult game, so dont expect to complete it that fast. Maybe a few months or so to complete Clazziquai, then moving on to Black Square. =D And theres no combo limit. Get on arcade->freestyle and see how high you can rake up your amount of combo. I have hit over 30,000 on DMP2 before. =P Well i am stuck on Black Square. Its scary. >_<

I'm fairly new to this FX thing since I never even touched 5b upto 8b on DMP2 right now, I am just leisurely playing 5b and occasional 6b, but I go for harder songs for 4b, and 4bFX I only have Clazziquai on my psp actually, it is quite enjoyable, especially when I see I am improving... I actually jumped and jumped when I full comboes First kiss lulz xD Ah.. when I meant highest combo, I meant what could be the highest possible combo to be attained in the individual song.. anyways, is there any merit in getting high combo in free style? like new gear or effector etc? So you're already playing Black Square? 8D I think I won't be able to take the songs there ...yet xD

For Clazziquai no, most of the things are unlocked by completing Tour Club, while the rest via Link Disc with others. Combos was only useful in Portable and Portable 2, where it was used for some songs and avatars. Right now its more for pride. ^^; And as for highest combo, i have no idea. Just keep that fever button pressed when its ready, and you will have some few thousand combos added to your scoresheet. =P Maximum combo would be have 100% max with that fever button pressed when its full, but i dont think any human would be that professional to do it... Just give Black Square a try, its simpler than Clazziquai for starters(yes, you can complete lvl1 honeymoon using one button). Only the club tour and songs with mx labels on them are scary, the others are just like Clazziquai. Plus you get new notecharts once you linked Clazziquai with Black Square! On another note, Technika's special track OST is awesome. The best OST among the Metro Project, i have to say. =P Cant wait for Technika to hit my local arcades!

oh.. and yeah, I wanna get my hands on Technika's OST too.. anyways.. I got a little bit curious and dled BS and ehck... the delay was all for this anti-piracy thing.. Well they did a great job with it xD

I dont think we should discuss piracy here. =P For me i would definately go for black square more than clazziquai since the oldies have made a return like real over drive and superlovely. And i really really like most of the songs over there~ so many songs, so little timeee! I've read somewhere that BS has many CE songs(unlockable for BS via link disk from CE) or something like that? thanks for the link for the patch~ I don't read korean, but it says there there would MX editions of certain songs to be added? wah need to dl xD

about 3-5 songs on Black Square are from clazziquai, and about 3-5 songs are unlocked through linking black square to clazziquai. Yea, perhaps the most important thing about the patch is the new charts. More finger mashing goodness!

i like what they did on Black square than on the previous DJ Max i've been playing like, they made it much more challenging & one messup can get you a gameover that quickly... even if it's on 4B. plus the new modes they added like the club mode & other features make this game look Really Exciting i'd have to say... faptasticatious :D
