Steampunk

ok I just got into the entire steampunk genre. Steampunk is a subgenre of fantasy and speculative fiction that came into prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s. The term denotes works set in an era or world where steam power is still widely used—usually the 19th century, and often set in Victorian era England—but with prominent elements of either science fiction or fantasy, such as fictional technological inventions like those found in the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne, or real technological developments like the computer occurring at an earlier date. Other examples of steampunk contain alternate history-style presentations of "the path not taken" of such technology as dirigibles or analog computers; these frequently are presented in an idealized light, or a presumption of functionality. (Thank god for wikipedia) Its really cool. Any suggestions to where you cang et good things for cheap al related to steampunk let me know!!! |

R.O.D. the TV had these steampunk angles as well! Granted, it was all a sim, but it was there, so you could perhaps check it out. Other than that, Steamboy is your best bet. |

I don't think he's looking for anime though... I think he's looking for material products that are steampunk-themed. Unfortunately, because those aren't that common, the products that are available aren't going to be real cheap... :c However, * Steampunk Jewelry here and here. * Steampunk cosplay would basically be... any Victorian era outfit, with some sort of steampunk jewelry and of couuuurse... brass goggles! XD Have you checked out Steampunk Workshop? Some of the projects are really cool if you're a steampunk fan. XD [+]: More Steampunk links here Hope this helped~ |
