The easiest thing for animations in my opinion was Adobe image ready... it was very easy to use, and pretty simple it came bundled with Photoshop cs2. Sadly i uninstalled cs2 when i got cs4.. which does not have image ready T.T |

ImageReady has been built in to Photoshop since CS3. It's still there, just not as a separate program. Also, I have created several of the icons used in the chat myself, and I would recommend GIMP if you know what you're doing, as it's free. |

But Photoshop CS3 doesn't seem to load GIFs in any decent manner, opting to give me the first frame and none of the rest. >_> Anyone know a way to have PS gimme all the frames in an GIF when I open it or am I stuck recreating it (like my tfaps) again and again? |

I agree with ToD, Photoshop only open the first frame. Can't save them either. I was forced to reinstall CS2 because of that, even though I already have CS3. |

I had this problem way back to PS7... though here's how I do it. 1. first open the .gif in Image Ready 2. then edit it on Photoshop (SHIFT+CTRL+M) <--- last button on the tools there... now you could see ALL it's frames, and edit it a little bit better than what you could in IR. though... even if you save it as a .gif in PS, it won't be animated anymore. so: 3. go back on Image Ready (SHIFT+CTRL+M) <--- last button on the tools for animation changes and to save it as an animated .gif PS simply wasn't meant for animations.
