uhm about the anime episodes

im not sure if this is a repost of anything, if it is i am very sorry but uhm uhh, is there any way to change the format of the episodes from mkv format to an mp4 format or something? like without damaging the file to become unplayable?if so can someone give me a link or a guide please? thank you in advance!
