i have a physics assignment where i have to build a metre long bridge out of bamboo skewers. it also has to support a weight of approx 4.3 kg :( the lighter the better. to me this weight seems impossible and, being a male, i have put off my project for 4 whole weeks until the last moments (dont judge me i still have 5 days.) im not asking you to build a bridge for me, i'd just like to know what main parts of a bridge are under tension and compression please. im only allowed to use these materials so dont suggest a diamond tether or something... Bamboo skewers hot glue gun bits of string the internet. Your input would be greatly appreciated.
