Requesting song question
|
Hi everyone, when requesting for a song, what kind of source is considered reliable enough for someone to upload? |

ANN and Wiki are very good main ones, to start. Try them before trying anything else. ------- |

Please refrain from using a streaming site as a source. It's annoying to have to track down the credits during a video. Other sources I've seen used which are ridiculous includes linking to bittorrent sites, a direct download version of said requested song, an uploaded shockwave flash from an imageboard, or my all time favourite... a link to google. |

@synai (kinna) I hate those kind of things. Giving sources to make us do the download while they wait for it. I upload requested music but I check my songs before uploading them. I don't want to have negative points in my upload points. ^^? I have a question though. Is uploading a requested music with a little bit of stutter acceptable?

---> I hate those kind of things. Giving sources to make us do the download while they wait for it. That's not really the issue. It's simply not credible since anyone can modify the ID3 tags in an mp3. We could download it as a "source" where the tag is listed as say a song by Suara but the song itself ends up being by Lia. ---> I have a question though. Is uploading a requested music with a little bit of stutter acceptable? Well chances are, it may not be used since Gendou will look through all the versions of a requested song that was uploaded and chooses the best version. Unless for some reason all the available sources (ie the original source) have it as well I would assume that's the practice performed. But there is no harm in uploading unless your upload violated one of the rules listed on the upload page. You don't have to worry about editing the ID3 tags yourself, just make sure the mp3 has the correct song title and that the song itself is the right one. |
