You know Matantei Loki Ragnarok!? Yay! Looks like I'm not the only one who knows it here... Anyways, in the anime and in the first series of the manga (white covers), the last assassin sent by Odin is a goddess that goes by the name of Hel. She first appeared where Odin betrayed the Norns, the goddesses of destiny, Urd, Verdandi and Skuld. And it just so happens, Loki was trying to save them and was in their mansion at the moment of the attack. At the beginning, it seemed as if Hel has a personal purpose why she wants to kill Loki. "I will not let you die peacefully... You will feel suffering and misery to the end... Loki." Later, she targets Mayura, seeing that she is Loki's weakness... Then, later, Loki realizes who the assasin is and it happens to be the goddess of death and ruler of Niflheim, Hel. His own daughter. The reason for this... Loki doesn't know. Until Hel kidnaps Mayura and confronts Loki, and spends some time with him, until she finally asks him, "You hate me, don't you?" Loki denies that he doesn't hates Hel. Until he finally says that he will stay with her forever... if that's ever possible. Hel dies TEMPORARILY... 'cuz death dying is kinda odd... and on the FINAL episode, Loki is about to go back to the world of gods, asgard, but stops at the last minute, seeing how distraught Mayura is, crying and looking for him high and low... so he decides to stay in the end.. and i'm not that familiar with the second series of the manga (Black covers) but they say that "Spika" who is actually "Angrboda", Loki's mistress/wife, goes down to earth in search for him, only thing is, she lost her voice and loki can't recognize her... and that's all i know.. i'll tell you when i know something new! |

wow thanks for the information. I havent really watched the anime but after your summary tsukiyo you got me really interested of that anime... I only read the first manga... where he first met Mayura... (**;) *hehe* TNX |

hi, I had the whole sets of anime burned into cds, though not sure what happened to manga, but the matantei loki is great!! yah, i think loki-kun is adorable and i loved to see mayura-chan saying her libertto, fushigi mystery... the matantei loki only has 26 episodes...sugoi ne... ja mata ne, mi-chan

Yeap...it seems so...coz at the end of the episode, Loki were suppose to go back to Asgard (Adobe of god) but he decided to stay when he saw that Mayura was searching for him. The story ended with Mayura giving Loki-kun a tight and warm embrace...lovey-dovey ^_^ Owari~ Ja mata ne mi-chan

somehow...there could have been more in the ending. I like the story so far, but it would be better if it has a better ending...not just that....But I liked it anyway...wanna read the manga cuz it's actually the continuation of the series but it's so slow in my country >_< hehehe but my favorite character is Freyr though he's cute.....Actually the story itself is not based on Norse Mythology, some of the information are wrong and some are partly correct which is few. So people maybe misunderstood...that's why fansub explain the real myths for us....Ragnarok the Animation is completely wrong also and so is it's online RPG game which have nothing relating to Norse mythology. OK enough of my nerdy explaination....-_-;

Hi, Oh well, I guess i've messed up something here again, tee...hee. Yep they used the names of the Norse's god and godness. The story is full of fun and mystery. That's why I loved saying "Fushigi Mystery" a phrase from Mayura-chan...totemo kawai... Ha...I like Freyr too...the 'Na no da-kun' he's cute!! Actually, I loved everyone in the MaLoKi. Yeap, it's sad that the anime ended just like that. As what I know the mysterious blue haired girl that appeared at the end of the episode is Loki's wife Sigyn (not sure if I've spelled it rite, gomen) I'm also a big fan of LokiMayu, they look so cute together!! Ja mata ne, mi-chan

I haven't seen much of it, but I've heard it's really good. My friend Kainyn was obsessing a few months ago. Soething about Loki's butler being his son...
