Well , in fact I've had this problem quite some times ago and I don't really know what has happened to my PC . Some errors just show up during the startup and then I realise the Date & Time of my PC has rolled back to a very-very old time . And this is what it says ..... Floppy Disk fail (40) CMOS checksum error - Defaults loaded Warning !!! The previous performance of overclocking is failed and system is restored to the defaults setting I don't know if this happened after I did the System Restore last time .... Does anyone know the solution ? |

Try to check your CMOS Battery cell if it's working or has no power anymore. Replacing it will do solve the problem. But sometimes that you just say about this ... Date & Time of my PC has rolled back to a very-very old time Floppy Disk fail (40) Warning !!! The previous performance of overclocking is failed and system is restored to the defaults setting There is a problem in your "latency time" setting in your BIOS because it says that your PC Time Indicator is rolled back to the date of manufacture of your BIOS. Normally if your CMOS Battery die, the time will stuck on the last run you did in your PC, not resetting your default setting of your BIOS. And also check your BIOS responce in all of your devices because it says an Error code 40 in your Floppy Drive that means it can't be accessed by your BIOS. |
