Civil War 2020 Welcome to what may be the end of the United States of America, it's sad to see that the once prosperous and powerful nation has now deteriorated into chaos. The year, 2020, ironic considering how unclear the future may be. The "good" guys: America The "bad" guys: America Am I talking in riddles, yea, admittadly, but it really is hard to explain. However, as all stories go, this one too has a beginning, and I'll try to start from there. The Whole Story Eight years ago, 2012, a new election for President of the United States of America, Commander and Chief, some would say leader of the free world, took place. We elected the most charismatic and enigmatic President the nation has ever seen, but our ill choice has led directly to our current situation. The newest leader of our country was named Michael Lane. He had worked his way up the last four years, and in a short amount of time, became the head of our entire nation. On the other hand, President Lane can not be held solely responsible, our own drive for superior weaponry, and militaristic advantage doomed us. The "official report" states a horrible accident involving medicinal research unleashed a horrible disease on the populace. It goes on to say that the disease activates vast portions of the brain, exhausting and frying it from the inside, painfully, over the course of 48 hours, with a 100% mortality rate, and worst of all, no cure. However, rumors spread quickly, most say that it was biological weaponry, and that it was an accident. Much more terrifying rumors though hint that it may not have been weaponry or "medicine" at all, but yet another way to gain power. Most scoff at this, more simply ignore it. The basis of this rumor is based simply on the survivors of the disease, again, most scoff, but for those hush whispers, there ARE survivors, and not only that, they are strange, odd, enhanced. With furtive glances, and worried, trembled whispers, the gossip goes on that the government unleashed this disease to create these... infected, to harness their possible abilities, that it was all planned from the beginning. You may be asking yourself, why does that make Lane such a bad guy? Those may just be random barkings, conspiracy nutjobs even, but the real kicker is the government's "official" response to such a disease. Two-and-a-half days post-outbreak, the President gave the order, and a small yield, nuclear bomb was dropped on ground zero, in the hope to destroy the disease once and for all. Honestly, all those that were at ground zero had already been declared dead, and having the disease spread further was unnacceptable. Most of the populace begrudgingly accepted this fate, and could only stand by as about half a state was turned to glass. However, Mexico did not take so kindly to a nuclear detonation so close to their borders, and thus, declared war on the United States. However, before we continue on with that sad, short conflict, there is another side to this story. In line with the previous whispers, the government had planned this all along, as the story goes, The government had went in exactly 48 hours after outbreak, and gathered up every single survivor they could find in that short time, left, and dropped the bomb to destroy not only the evidence, but hopefully any other survivor to elliminate potential threats. Where did I leave off? Oh yeah, the Mexican conflict, you see, the outbreak and explosion only took place 6 years ago, 2014, let's just say the conflict ended in 2015. Soon after the declaration of war, the disease seemed to have crossed the contamination area, and crossed national borders, soon, 1/6th of the Mexican population was infected or dead, Mexico simply did not have the resources to contain such a veriliant disease, meanwhile, our border patrol became ironclad, with CDC units ever mile, moreso at the New Mexican/Mexico border. Eventually, the leader of Mexico prostrated himself at the President's feet for help, and Lane kindly agreed, his solution was pretty much the same as the one inside our own border, to attempt "containment", and nuke it. Now, I could go on to once again, state the dark rumors, but if you can't guess what they're going to be, you need to keep up. For those especially thick, the rumors are that USA came in, collected, left, BOOM, same principle, only on a much larger scale. Yeah, it's bad, but from the citizens' view, New Mexico was a tragedy, and Mexico should have asked for help sooner, some even say they deserved it, but I'd bet your asking, what the heck? It's CIVIL war, not Mexico, well, sadly, I'm not done yet. Back to my point, Lane was not deemed the evil man he should be, but enough dissatisfaction was there that he should not have been re-elected. November 2016 came around, and Lane was still on the ballot, when the votes were counted, he lost, well, I should say we lost, because even though the popular vote, the ones that are by the citizens, for the citizens, voted against re-election, but it's the electoral vote that counts, those by our "representatives", rumors and speculation, and of course, anger bristled through America, but the decision was final. Well, at least it WAS final, but now, there are those fighting back. Slowly a revolution has been brewing, the general of this revolution is John Thompson, to those not privy of his personal life, he's a powerful man, a natural born leader, and slowly and surely he has been gaining support, his main base, New Mexico. However, I grew up with the guy, I can tell ya, he not only sets up here in New Mexico, he.. wait, getting ahead of myself, there's still more story. Okay, over the last four years, the government has increased taxes, put more restrictions on our civil liberties, and has subtely, but forcefully has been trying to disband the revolutionaries, to no avvail may I add. He however, has in general, been trying to be rather diplomatic, he doesn't, or didn't think of himself as revolutionary, just as a guy, speaking his mind. He's sent many pleas, offered compromises, and finally threatened. Lane however, took no heed, and now, it is the time for action, Thompson now has to make the jump from activist, to revolutionary, he has to follow through, and among his supporters, the governor, key members of the representatives, and most of the population of what's left of New Mexico, thus, New Mexico succeeded from the United States of America on January 1, 2020, New Year's Day. Okay, now that I have all the other questions answered, there's one that I bet your aching to ask, who am I? I'm Nathan, Nathan Thompson, again, for those thick skulls, I'm John's brother. We both grew up in New Mexico, and we were there for the outbreak, and though the odds may have been astronomical, or maybe there's something genetic about it, but we survived, and those rumors, yeah, they're true, as far as I can figure they're accurate. Nowadays though, I'm second in command of..."The United Citizens of America". The Condensed Story Oh, so you're into the "get the story and go" type, I can respect that. Well, I'll try. So, 8 years ago, Michael Lane was elected President of the USA. 6 years ago, on November 22nd, according to the government, an accident happened, and a disease was unleashed on the unexpecting people of New Mexico, 3 days later, he nuked New Mexico to stop the disease, we think he unleashed it on purpose, and before he bombed, he sent people in to to gain powerful weapons, the survivors, for those who survived, new, unusual, and unique abilites are unlocked, and manifest in new ways. Mexico got ticked off with a nuke being dropped so close, they got mad, declared war, some disease "accidently" leaked to Mexico, and USA "helped" like they helped in New Mexico. Collecting survivors, then nuking em, ending the conflict on January 12th. John Thompson, an activist against Lane's current actions has been speaking out against him for the last 4 years, (through electoral votes, he was re-elected) and sadly now, he's decided to make a stand, creating "The United Citizens of America," and the entire State of New Mexico has now succeeded from USA on January 1st, 2020. And me? I'm Nathan Thompson, John Thompson's brother, second in command, and both of us, survivors. That's the short version, you got questions? Well I just explained the whole dang story beforehand, see if you can find answers there. As it rolled into town, we started to hear screams, worried, we stepped outside, and as we crossed the threshold, it hit all of us. Each one of our family dropped and screamed in agony, myself included. I could feel as my brain was ablaze, I have no idea why I survived, nor does John, but we did. We both awoke only 6 hours after the pain, both our parents and everyone in town was screaming it seemed. Our heads were still burning, but it felt more like friction... or something, our brains were changing. We could stand though, we tried to help our parents, and we would have stayed there until they came if it weren't for our mother in a small window of clarity, pleaded for us to leave this place. Even then, we would have stayed if there were anything we could do, anyone nearby who could possibly help, but noone nearby seemed to be in any condition to help. Throw in the fact that phone lines were down, internet, cell service, dead, no contact whatsoever. We got in John's car and ran, and we would have gotten caught like every other running survivor if it wasn't for me, though I didn't realize it at the time. When we saw the scary guys with guns blocking our exits, all I could think of was "don't see us, don't see us, don't see us," and though John had to drive around the roadblock, we weren't noticed at all. Nowadays, I realize just how lucky we were that day, but now a danger looms over all America that we must face head-on, there's no running this time.

Equipment: Two Standard Pistols, UCA uniform Bio: Colin was returning to New Mexico after a holiday to Texas when the outbreak occurred. As he arrived into the outer region of town he heard screams, wondering what was going on, he stepped outside, and was suddenly hit by something. He held his head and screamed in agony as he dropped to the ground. He could feel a burning sensation in his brain, he passed out as people ran past him. He awoke 5 hours later, everyone in town was still screaming it seemed. His head was still in pain, but he felt a different sensation... which made him feel weird. He managed to stand up and saw someone who needed help, it turned out to be his friend, realizing this he tried to help him but failed. He then pleaded for someone to help. But anyone nearby didn't seem to be in any condition to help. Colin took out his cell phone to call for help but there wasn't any signal. So Colin brought his friend into his car and drove off, and they would have been caught if we stayed there any longer, though he didn't think about it at the time. When he saw the men with guns blocking the paved roads, all he could think of was "Damn, need to find a way out of here" and Colin had to find a way around the roadblock. Now as a member of UCA, he still thought of what could have happened, but he could never have expected how complex the situation was. Appearance: Not much to note really, he is average in height and seemingly so in build. He wears covert troop gear and always has a mask on. Not many have seen his face... Bio: During the year 2012, Enzo was among those that were being examined to become a new breed of Secret Service. These officers now protected the head of state with the utmost of ease, using technology and amassed skills to watch over the President at all times. Enzo was chosen without a doubt. His military skills were apparent the day he went in for examination. He was psychologically tough and had acute senses due to diet and training. He soon became Lane's closest bodyguard and had grown tactically even more. The incident at New Mexico and Mexico didn't affect his resolve at all. He proved to be the most loyal soldier Lane could ever find. Enzo was sent to be tested with two new weapons, a brand of nano machines that could be released into an opponent could either render them incapacitated or could be used as a tracking device. The nano-machines could also be injected in the user, creating a metabolic rate that is 4 times the normal human rate. The other weapon is the "hot" wire. It is a length of wire that runs through two gauntlet-looking handles and could withstand the heat up to six hundred thousand degrees, above the thermite that ignites it. Once ignited, the thermite wire could easily cut through flesh and bone, and various construction materials too. With a military issued Colt and his own Dragunov, he was sent out as a covert officer to scout the UCA, in hopes to bring down the insurrection.

John contemplated for a moment, "Tell him yes, I am not gonna squirrel my way in some grand mansion while everyone else does my work. Those are to be your primary targets, you have free reign to kill anyone opposing you in your mission." "Now, we have a man scouting out the UCA, his name is Enzo Kane, you are to contact him as soon as possible, here is a picture of him, memorize it, you won't be seeing it again. To confirm his identity, ask him 'Is New Mexico supposed to be this weird?' odd yes, but common enough to not be suspicious. His reply will be, 'yes, it's a time of change, change is weird', again, meant to be specific and inconspicous." The mission commander strutted up to a pair of figures, one a girl, about 17ish, and of a sullen looking man. "These two are your leaders, Stella reports directly to the general, but Jack's experience is to lead the mission. Any questions?"

Enzo used the scope of his Dragunov and scanned the surroundings in Flagstaff. His position on a building roof proved to be good cover; nobody had spotted him. He checked his watch. He thought, *If the strike team doesn't come soon... this open space... as if it's too open... Hmph. Thompson is out to prove something. If this deal goes off, we'll have formally split the country in half.* Enzo puts the gun back in his suitcase and and calmly walked out of the building. His garments makes him look extremely secretive and intimidating, but they are actually an excellent cover; no one expects a USA high-ranking officer to dress like this. Enzo noticed the guards around *Probably the guards for the meeting* and saw that they checked all the normal-looking people extra carefully. *Hmph. Almost time...*

When he was 5, his mother got him to train on martial arts, she kept him training almost everything she could, since his grandfather was a quite known matial artist, but died on a accident before he could go world wide. So his mother wanted him to fullfill his granfathers' dream. The scars on his face, that he got by the age of 12, were made when he was interfering on a group fight. On both sides there were people he knew and he was trying to stop the fight, but in the midst of the confusion, he was cut on the right side of his face. After that, he dismembered his band and since he was the head, the rest didn't try to continue without him. After that, he spent a year studying sciences (just because he did like it)and music, but he didn't feel quite suited to the school. He was always arguing with his teatchers and, because of his style, they really looked down on him, even though his grades were ok, not the number one of the school, but he had good grades. By the year of 2013, he got on his fathers' motorbike and started to trip around the USA. Just to clear up his mind. After some months of road trippin', he stopped by New Mexico. Aisha's home was seized by the military and during the siege, Aisha's father, was shot in the chest causing severe internal hemorrhage in his lungs. Seeing the death of her beloved father with her own eyes, Aisha lost control of her power and unleashed a massive explosion. The President requested the US investigators to retrieve Aisha's body for analysis but they couldn't find her body. And now, Aisha's quest for vengeance and freedom begins...

"Any problems ma'am?" "Oh, it's just... I can't get my refrigerator up to my place. The guys just delivered here and left." "Hm, that's not a problem... Wich floor do you live, again?" Colin was standing outside the room in a laid back posture, waiting for atleast the younger of the Thompson brothers to exit. He was one of top UCA officers, and John's most trusted people directly after Nathan of course. He was also one of the first to join the UCA, adding to reasons of his high position. He was looking at ceiling but noticed at a corner of his eye, that the door beginning to open and turned towards it. The door opened fully to reveal none other than Nathan Thompson himself. "Hey again Nathan, did you tell him all the latest reports i assume? Anyway, I'd like to come along to see the governor of California, you know i'm the best for the job." "Well, yea, we're meeting up in Flagstaff, Arizona. I'm coming with him, and now, so are you apparantly. Now, I just have to pick another Citizen to join us."
