Chapter I

Her speed defied light as she ran along the wall to catch the last rung of a rusted ladder. It groaned in dismay at having to suddenly carry her weight. She carefully climbed up to avoid damaging the ladder further and reached the narrow walkway of a stairwell. After reaching her fifth walkway she froze mid-step hearing approaching footsteps. Silently she lowered her body to the floor of the walkway, laying on her stomach to better see her followers. She softened her breathing and relaxed her body.
It was an unusually dark night in they City of Freya. Adding to the strange lack of light, the drought Freya had been suffering from finally ended with heavy rain and small hail. Even stranger, Reports of major power outages plagued many of the main sectors in Freya. The cause of the outages has yet to be determined. For the first time in years, Stars could be seen decorating the night sky.
The pouring rain drowned out their conversation. Trying her best to catch what they were saying, the only words audible were curses. Eventually the two, from what she could see, left the way they came. She waited. Eventually deciding it safe to move, she stood up. Completely drenched, her black hair stuck to her face as well as her clothes to her body. With each step she took, the walkway threatened to collapse. She stopped and shook her head at her dilemma. Looking above, she had about two levels to go before she reached the rooftop. Returning the way she came could result in sudden confrontation with the two following her. For all she knew their could be more waiting to ambush her. She made her way towards the stairs leading up, took a deep breath, and ran up the stairs. On her last step, rooftop in site, the ancient staircase finally said it's goodbyes and dropped.

Rules.
Correct punctuation&capitalization&spaces at all times (for the most part..everyone makes mistakes) Please do not ask to join if you know you can't meet these requirements.
Every post must be AT LEAST a paragraph with AT LEAST five sentences. The longer the better. I love detail. Describe what you see, feel, think. Become the character! (Of course sometimes you don't feel so spectacular so don't feel like I have high expectations. Overly long posts are not necessary.)
To avoid leaving others behind, posting will be done in the order that you joined. Make sure to acknowledge every character present ok? As you would in real life when you notice a strange person enter the room... Who the heck is that guy o.O
When I say 'become the character' I MEAN IT. I'm sure your character didn't just pop out of a wall somewhere. Everyone has a past. Everyone has a reason for the way they behave. Consider this please? Especially when you don't know what to post :] Not that it has to be included in every post... that would be annoying. That does sound kind of hard huh? If your character isn't one to think about their past, thats cool too. Stick to your characters behavior as well...
Plot.
In one word, Uprising. Maybe even Revolution. This will lead to many individual organizations/gangs surfacing. The oppressed will no longer be ignored and cast off to the ghettos! The news channels are going to have problems covering all the bombings, assassinations, random fires, unruly mobs, and politicians being revealed for the lying cheats they are. You decide where you fit in. The oppressed or the oppressor.
World.
Races include human, elvish, artificially enhanced and cyborg. Magic does exist. Technology is very advanced. There are four continents on the planet Shulei. They are Serac, Soryia, APhuak, and Aria. The story is currently situated in Aria, Lanacard district, City of Freya. If anyone wants to contribute to the creation of the world, please do.

The first part written way above is simply the beginning of my post. When I have three members who want to participate, I will update it. If you want to join please PM me. In your message please include a filled out character sheet (see below) and a sample of your posting style. You can have more then one character, ask if you want to play another character. For example, I'll need someone to help me play the not so great guys. I'd prefer if everyone would start off on the side of the resistance for now! In case you weren't sure, this is a novel style roleplay. If you sign up to late... don't be disappointed? Characters will no doubt drop out orrr... I'll need new ones :]

Full Name: (Be creative, please don't use your gendou username... Please no Asian style names that are CLEARLY specific to asian culture.)
Age: (Human: 18 or older. Elf: Immortal but don't make a character insanely overaged. Cyborg: age does not matter. Mindset has to be 18 or older though.)
Class: (Human, Elf, Enhanced, Cyborg)
Birthdate: (dd/mm if known.)
Biography: (Just some basic info.)
Appearance: (pictures are preferred [make sure to make refer to pictures of other characters when describing them!], any noticeable scars? enhancements [cyborg]?)
Sample: "Excuse me sir... Can you help me find Layton Street?" The young girl of maybe fifteen asked. Respond accordingly... :]
