yeah what would become of the story? i feel the series ended with the movie already... but i wouldn't mind a sequel!Hahahaha can they do the impossible and outdo the series? |

Wow! I wonder if they really do make a season 2... how will it be? since the anime did have an ending of its own... and the movie has another ending. They'll probably have to go back to their original world cause otherwise, they won't be able to use their alchemistry~  |

It was definitely possible, the manga is REALLY far. I gotta wait 'n' see where this goes, but it's definitely good news, haha. Reminds me of my young Hagane no Renkinjutsushi days... What Engel has stated makes a good point. Can't be the "Fullmetal Alchemist" if you can't perform an act of alchemy, though I don't know what happens after (manga wise), it seems they might find a way out. I know from the manga, the Chinese gets involved or something, Chinese characters anyways. It's a blur since I found this out like, forever ago and I don't read the manga, but we'll see. I hope the plot can be as strong or even stronger, since first season was SOLID. It should be interesting. The first season is obviously a classic series, I just hope this season can be as enjoyable as well. Though since I enjoy the dub a bit more, I'll be waiting for it's US debut on TV. The dub is one of the best and I hope they can get their old voice actors and actresses back for this second job.

Apart from the ending, I am curious to see how the second season will start off, since the first broke away from the original manga storyline during the later parts. With the first season being a major hit (although there will always be critics), anime fans will be hoping for the new season to be of the same standard, if not better.  |

D: so the new season would probably have original content opposed to the manga... but I seemed to recall that Edward was unable to return and he celebrates his 100th on our plane last 2007 D: well gonna show or not, I don't really care... I was pretty wrapped up on the anime via the movie, and the manga is satisfying me fine ^^ well great news if it is going to be animated, probably showing by 2010 or late 2009

they are making a second season O_O man just when you think its over i saw the ending for both the movie and show so im wondering what kind of storyline they are gonna come up with now im sure itll be completely different now what do you think

AN FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST SECOND SEASON ZOMGPANTPANTAMAZINGNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yea, dont worry, Im done, Rofl. But WOW, a second season. Of course, we're all tihnking what the season could possibly be about. Makes sense seeing as the ending to the anime came in the movie, then there was that OVA about him being a old guy in our world. Though, there is always the chance he somehow returns to his world for a short time - or perhaps they say the OVA with him old in our time isnt canon and was just for show, or something. Also, there is always the chance it could follow his grandchildren or something - thinks like that are always possible. Though, when it comes down to it, I think a second season of FMA is a good idea --- but they are gonna have to go about this carefully as not to ruin a franchise and as not to completely destroy the story. YAY FOR FMA! :D |

@SAI: I wonder how...? since most of the homonculi are already gone and Al's already human... and Hoenheigm's out of the picture, so the possibility of the manga's "father" and return of the other homonculis might be slim, but if they can pull of making such a storyline so cunningly formed to make another great story that could have interception with the manga's story... xD Me wanna watch if it does come out.. meh

I am prolly just being pessimistic, but I am not really looking forward to this. Rule of thumb is that sequels will suck, everything from Digimon to GTS (didn't like second season) has backed this up. If they can pull this off in their masterful strokes that brought FMA to the screens both big and small, then I will be highly impressed, and pleased. In conclusion, am I hopeful, yes, OMG i hope it's awesome, but I'm not expecting the same WOW factor.  |
