ok so i talked to gendou about a gallery secton hir in this site. where we can giv wallpapers made by ourselves. but he said would it attract donations and will any1 use it. well iu guys want that kind of section juz reply. if u reply hir maybe gendou might make one.

A gallery would be nice, i also hope that it would attract more donations so gendou wont have a hard time paying for the cost to run the site  |

The point of whether any1 will use it... most probably a lot of ppl will... But i do have doubts on more donations though...  |

I'm all for it, but its totally understandable why Gendou would hesitate to go through with it. I mean, its like business; is the return worth the effort? Right now there are around 65466 registered users. Judging from the look of the stats on the site, I doubt more than a thousand people have made any kind of donations (its probably a lot less, though I can't really tell). The vast majority of users, I think, just leach music off of the site and don't participate or donate in any meaningful way. How would that change if a gallery section were added? I'm not sure how many people would contribute art, but it probably is a very, very small number (compared to how many people are registered anyway). Probably around the amount of users who use the forum. I think that most people would just leach the art, like they do the music. On the other hand, maybe if there were a way to restrict that section to people who make or have already made some kind of donation, it could work. If im wrong about any of this, or if im talking from me buttocks, im really sorry... been a long day. *yawn* |
