I know the vision of Escaflowne has 26 episodes and a movie so far but are they going to make more episodes about it?If anyone knows anything about it pls reply.

| I think there were supposed to be 39 episodes.. I think some of those weren't included anymore cos it's not really.. important? I dunno.. I read it somewhere in the net. Sorry if I wasn't much help. |

No they stoped making it quite a qhile ago. Their not making any more. It's an awsome show but a pretty bad ending thought.

Vision of Escaflowne was 26 episodes, and the movie was called "A Girl in Gaia," as well as "Escaflowne - The Movie." EDIT: Oh yeah, and the anime was started and finsihed in '96 IIRC, someone correct me if I'm wrong. ^^

The movie is kind of a retelling of the series in an alternate kind of way. Like some of the characters and plot twists are changed and what not.

I agreee. However it is quite different in that the series was aimed at a female audience and the movie was pointed at a more male audience, so there is more violence, at the very least, more graphic then the seroes. You notice the difference right away. I liked the series better. 26 episodes 1 movie 8 manga volumes |

Not likely. They've already milked the franchise for a while, especially after the release of the movie and the manga. Haven't heard anything 'bout new escaflowne stuff for a while. Even though I'm a guy, I preferred the series even though it shifted toward a more...shoujo feel. The animation in the series vs. the movie was different, the movie was a bit more gritty, in-depth which allowed the violence to really show. (though the series was quite violent in several specific episodes.
