Link | by maneki_neko on 2008-07-10 23:26:34
Ok guys, I like drawing manga or anime character and I love to do that until I hope that one day I'll become the famous mangaka. But, some character from some manga or anime is too hard for me to draw. Can you please tell me what is the easiest manga or anime character to draw so I can try to draw the character that you suggest?

We all have different styles, skills, and abilities.
Can you post some of your work?
I think it'll be easier for members to help you out,
knowing what you're already capable of doing.

Hmm... draw your favourite manga/anime characters, cuz you're familiar with the character's appearance at great detail, but heck that's my opinion.
I would say keep practising drawing on any anime/manga characters that inspired you. It took ages for me to draw L's hair perfectly xD But I'm still crap at it!
I bet Light's easy enough to draw, since he really echoed the Seto Kaiba look.
I'll suggest more. (just woke up from mah sleep)

Is there such a character? O_O;;

So far the easiest, IMO, are all the characters of Naruto (._. They're so easy), Keroro Gunsou and Sailormoon XD;;
=)But you should select a genre that you really want to draw.
And mangakas each have their own style, so it's cool to have you own : D

But yeah, let's see some of your works as well :)
Or if you could, the storyline of your manga, just a rough plot, so we know what direction you're headed :)

for starter try drawing the dango family from clannad.

If you have mastered it go to the next level: Electrode from pokemon.

once you have mastered both, you can pat yourself in the back, and relax your hand by drawing this:

You nailed the third one, you're pretty much a decent artist. :D

Hi ^_^

I'm currently taking up manga course too. It would be easier to determine on what genre manga you wish to develope.
If you opt for drawing chibi, how many heads tall chara would you choose. The option is 2heads to 4heads. Here are some question that you can refer before starting to design a chara.

•Is your character male or female?
•Is your character a human, an animal, or a
"mecha" (giant robot or other machine with
human-like qualities)?
•What is your character's name?
•How old is your character
•What are your character's likes and
dislikes? His or her hobbies? Does he or she
go to school? Have a job?
•What does your character excel at?
Academics, sports, or both?
•Is he or she fashionable and sophisticated,
or casual and laid-back?
•Etc. (Add your own ideas to the checklist)
In other words, what is your character's
personality?

I was also told to keep on sketching the chara's that I design until I'm really good at it T_T I guess my style keeps on changing and changing XP

Hope the above helps too~ Ganbatte~

Gema from Di Gi Charat is really easy to draw.

He's just a ball, basically.

If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

Goku or any dragonball z character.

I know I was drawing them when I was still in elementary.

I really liked drawing the gohan's super sayan form when he was fighting Cell. though the proportions were all a bit off( especially on the SS4 goku).

I kind of agree with the chibi work actually. It's really up to you when making the style of how it comes out.
